Today we have several announcements as after a year of reflection, we are making some major calls to our faction to hopefully give us a long term future in celeb boxing.
We have 4 new signings to make and announcements on the future of 2 of our long serving fighters.
First we are proud to make probably the biggest signing of our stables history, this talent is bite sized and yet is one of the most recognisable names from our stables country.
Please welcome from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Ellen Page!
She is 29 years old, 5'1 and while she only has 1 win in 9 attempts, that was as a free agent, we feel we can be the catalyst to get her career on track from now on.
Next we are proud to welcome a Toronto native, who has starred in films like the Amazing Spiderman 2, Cosmopolis and many more films since she was kid.
Please welcome Sarah Gadon!
Sarah is also 29 years of age and is 5'3, she hasn't fought in the ring professional before so will be making her debut soon.
We leave the flyweights to go up to bantamweight, where we now move to Vancouver to find a big star we are shocked hasn't been invited to fight in the BBU or FCBA before.
Being in films like Clover field and the Evil Dead remake and starring currently in Gotham as Tigress, please welcome Jessica Lucas to our group!
She is 31 years old, 5'6 and has dance training on top of fight training for Gotham, again she is a fresh fighter, meaning a debuting fighter but we have high hopes for her.
Last but certainly not least, we have a new lightweight to add to our mix and well she is recommended by our very own Alaina Huffman, so she is highly recommended in my eyes.
From Regina, Saskatchewan, she was in Stargate Universe with Alaina and has been in the hit series Containment, please welcome Elyse Levesque to our stable!
Again like Jessica, she is 31 years old but is 5'9 and a half, while she has no official bouts, Alaina has sparred with her over the years and finally coaxed her to make the jump over to actual fights.
Now that the fighters aspect has been sorted, we are in need of a few changes from within our stable with our let's say old members.
First I retain full control over training and team direction, our wonderful treasurer Deborah Kara Unger sees things the same as me and we have decided that some girls careers in the ring are up but a new opportunity was offered to each.
So while we regret to announce the retirement of Nicole De Boer and Kari Matchett, since both have been loyal to our cause and have shown to be positive influences within the ring and out of it.
So as of today, Nicole will be officially an assistant trainer, focusing on the flyweights and bantamweights, while Kari will also take an assistant job, focusing on the lightweights and welterweights in our stable.
