Part 1: January to March We kicked off 2020 with the latest Contender Six tournament, it was the bantamweight fighters turn to get their spotlight, six contenders ranging from veterans like Alice Eve and Rosie Byrne, to contenders like Lacey Turner to the rookie Samaria Regalado all begun their journey to hopefully earn a BBU bantamweight title shot.
There were also big changes in stables, Garnet Gunners UK in many peoples eyes maybe making the best changes with signings like Damaris Lewis and Debby Ryan to their ranks which improved their record over the year.
We should also say that we got a brand new exciting stable that had certainly put the cat amongst the pigeons, Romanian Invasion has certainly got the imagination of fans with their take no prisoners style, lead in some peoples eyes by the career contender Inna, 2021 should see the stable make more inroads in the BBU.
Everything title wise seemed to be going to be quiet till the BBU welterweight division erupted, Kelly Brook first shocked Bo Krsmanovic to become the champion for the first time in the division, she won it on the Queen of the Ice Hotel card in February.
Then to add more shock just a month later on March's BBU PPV Doutzen Kroes won the title from Kelly, the division would be the most exciting division in some peoples eyes with the shocks that took place.
One of the biggest highlights of March we should also say was the St Patrick's day brawl, Nadia Forde and Una Healy went to the bar, tapped their fists and went five exciting rounds of action that saw both have to be pulled apart between rounds as they really went at it, Nadia would come out on top but if you want to go see a fun fight, go look it up on our archive.

Part 2: April to June Three major stories come out of this period of time, first Alice Eve would go undefeated in the Contender Six tournament, going on to face the BBU bantamweight champion Daisy Ridley in a fight of the year contender, taking the title off Daisy to finally fulfil her potential that people saw years ago.
The second story was Alessandra Ambrosio's historic BBU lightweight title reign coming to an end, she fought her best friend Miranda Kerr, who showed no mercy to take the belt for herself, ending the most defences in a row of any lightweight champion here, this is what begun the road to retirement for Ambrosio.
The final big story was really just beginning, Tamara Ecclestone challenged Kate Upton for the JMDD title, it was a venomous affair as both just seem natural enemies, Kate showed her dominance on this night but that wasn't the end to this feud by a long shot.
Other highlights we saw was the Perkins vs Herbert event, both sets of sisters really brought it to each other on the beach, we might see more between them as the bad blood didn't seem to be fixed.
We also saw the debut of Sophia Thomalla, who would end the year as our rookie of the year with her undefeated run, starting off by beating Jessica Schwarz in a German derby, watch out for her to possibly be a contender by the end of this year.

Part 3: July to September The biggest shock of the year occurred during this time in maybe our biggest story of the year, as said the bad blood between Ecclestone and Upton didn't go away so easily, after taunting and insults they came back together first on the yacht of Tamara, maybe not the smartest decision for Kate as while her JMDD title wasn't on the line, pride certainly was!
Tamara on that night would beat Kate for the first time, that would lead to the trilogy taking place not long after with the title on the year again, the fight that won our fight of the year saw Tamara shock the world by defeating Kate for a second time, showing she could hack it with the elite as she has controlled the title with an iron fist since she took it from Upton, don't think these two are done with each other yet.
Meanwhile July was our traditional Crossover month with the ACB and FCBA, we saw the likes of Ziyi Zhang, Nicole Scherzinger, Erica Durance with Dannii Minogue making her yearly trip here to take part in some great fights, I can't wait to see who makes the journey over to take part this year.
There were no other title changes through this time period as Diana Korkunova was continuing her dominant run at the top of the flyweight tree, Doutzen Kroes, Miranda Kerr were settling into their reigns, while Charlotte Church was smacking anyone who dared challenge her aside for the BBU JMD title.
We did see several new faces in the BBU, ones like "Killing Eve" star Jodie Comer to the newly signed to the League of Mighty Women stable Florence Pugh, with a group of new stars looking ready to siege the castle walls of the elite, how will each division be shaken up I wonder.

Final Part: October to December Over November and December the welterweight division had a eight person tournament to crown a number one contender for the title, title we might add was won by Damaris Lewis in a great fight over the former champion Doutzen to become the fourth person to hold the belt in the year.
For the welterweight tournament we were treated to some great knockouts mixed with amazing back and forth clashes, in the end though it was Rozanne Purcell who won and will get a title shot soon for the gold.
Other major news saw Zara Holland conquer the seemingly unconquerable Diana Korkunova for the BBU flyweight title, it was another fight of the year contender and hopeful the start of a long rivalry between the two as they maybe our best two flyweights in the world right now.
In title changes we also saw Charlotte Church become a dual champion, beating Alice Eve in a highly charged fight to claim the bantamweight title to go alongside her BBU JMD title, Charlotte will be the only champion from 2019 to enter this year in the BBU with her title.
It should be said the BBU finished strong with the Boxing Day PPV, big fights galore topped the card, I suggest you go check it out to see how the year ended in the BBU on top form.
Now we head into 2021, we have seen some new stars already, more exciting title fights to come and all round amazing stories, thank you to all those who follow the BBU, we hope that we have been able to provide some respite from the world and hope to continue to do so.
That's all we have time for, see you next Sunday as we return with the next edition of the Real View, remember to stay safe.
