Part 1: Charlotte McKenna vs Carla Howe We kicked off the week with JMD action that saw two women who hadn't fought in three years wanting to knock the ring rust off, along with knocking each others boobs off their chests.
Charlotte had never won in the ring, her manager Samantha Fox wanted it seemed to give her one more chance after using her as a sparring partner for the likes of Jessica Jane Clement, India Reynolds and someone her opponent knows very well in Rhian Sugden.
Rhian was the last person who Carla fought three years ago, wrecking her undefeated run and seemingly at the time ending her BBU career as she hadn't boxed since, like a phoenix from the ashes back has come Howe as she told the media she wants Rhian Sugden sometime, for now it was about rebuilding her career in the ring.
It was clear before the bell that these two wanted to smash the others breasts, eyes were locked in a venomous stare at the face off at the middle of the ring, jogging back to their corners without touching their opponent's gloves in a sign of respect.
The opening round saw both get rough from the off, plenty of inside fighting as heads grinded together, even though she hasn't won a bout in seven, Charlotte looked good with little tricks, like turning Carla when it looked like she was going to be driven to the ropes, so that it was Howe who ended up on them getting beaten.
Round two was Carla's! She muscled back Charlotte around the ring, not allowing the blonde a chance to really breath as she whacked away to the body as well as her main target, giving Samantha Fox a reason to grit her teeth in the corner of McKenna.
The next round was chaotic, Charlotte was looking more desperate as Carla was walking her down, ending up with both tripping to the canvas as McKenna pulled Howe into a headlock, it was starting to resemble a brawl outside a bar as they threw kicks at each other as they sat on the canvas being warned by the referee.
That seemed to light a spark in Charlotte though as she charged Carla, the tactic worked in the fourth as the brunette was caught off guard, but it certainly didn't in the fifth as Carla slammed several big counter shots in, Charlotte couldn't take the heat as she turned her back to quit, the referee waved the fight off with Howe winning.
It wasn't the best fight for either, Charlotte showed some glimpses of her skills, but she also showed some of her more desperate side, mentally she couldn't take the punishment and in the end quitting showed why she hasn't won a fight.
While Howe probably got more of a workout then she expected, after not fighting since mid 2018, she had a lot of ring rust to clear off, she wants Rhian in the ring but for me she is at least a fight or two away from that, we'll see soon enough how she tries to move on as it was a shame she stopped fighting after her defeat, maybe some mental weakness for Carla too.

Part 2: Jordan Carver vs Vera Brezhneva This was the main event of a two fight card in Cologne Germany, it was an interesting clash on paper, Jordan has predominantly been a JMD fight, taking on in this bout a top contender in the bantamweight division in Vera.
Anyone who knows me from this show know I take Gina Wilds comments with a pinch of salt, she was going around any media station apart from me of course, telling them how Jordan was ripe for making a comeback to winning ways, all the talk of adjustments and how she had been getting local fighters to spar Carver for this clash.
Did it work? As they say the proof is in the pudding, Jordan came out her corner looking confident, quickly that confidence was shattered once she felt the raw power of the Ukrainian powerhouse, who beat Jordan around the ring through round one.
In the second Jordan did start to fire back for a little bit, quickly she was beaten back by Brezhneva, who looked on a real mission to show she was back after her own disappointments lately, beating the jug heavy Carver like a punch bag.
Even with Gina yelling at Jordan between rounds, Vera simply bashed Jordan into a mess, the third was the final round as twice Carver went down, the second liver shot finished the job as Jordan was shut out bell to bell in a rout that upset the fans.
First I want to give a lot of credit to Vera, lately she has looked shaky, maybe some bad memories from her lost in her grudge fight to Doda lingered, this while against poor opposition, showed how dangerous Vera can be when highly motivated to do a job.
For Jordan, well all the talk before the fight was the usual smoke screen, Jordan looked out her depth as she shouldn't have been facing an elite contender, even one struggling when Carver herself is on such a bad run, I expect a "level" headed response from Gina on this matter, but her coaching along with management has been found wanting again.

Part 3: Mandy Capristo vs Sayumi Michishige On the undercard in Germany this was arguably the more interesting bout as on paper it was harder to call who'd win, Mandy is a top level operator who has arguably not reached the highs she should, Sayumi is an undefeated fighter in three fights looking for world exposer by travelling to Europe to fight.
To Mandy's credit in the build up, she kept quiet as she let the visiting fighter do all the talking, while Mandy we hear had her head firmly in training, Sayumi was doing media tours, telling the world she was the best Japanese female celebrity boxing prospect since Mikie Hara and that this was going to be a fight to showcase that fact.
One round showed off the class Sayumi has, Mandy was too trigger happy, ending up missing as the more fundamental sound fighter simply moved then jabbed to start, adding more combos as she saw openings be presented to her.
That control continued into round two, Mandy looked a little hot under the collar, getting hassled by stinging jabs to her face, Sayumi outboxing the more experienced fighter in an impressive start that made many wonder if she was the real deal.
Things turned on their head when Mandy finally found her range, the power of the German started to come through as she bashed Sayumi around the outside of the ring in the third, Michishige was trying to match the intensity of Capristo, she couldn't as she was pinned back.
The fourth saw Sayumi maybe showing inexperience or just a flash of anger come after Mandy, the home crowd got their wish as belting shots hurt the visitor, Sayumi was down after a pounding combo send her head flying around, while Sayumi got up, she was beaten into a stupor that forced the referee to stop the bout.
Which led to some craziness as first Mandy tried to get at Sayumi to knock her out cold, then the Front Street Japan manager Hamada showed her wrestling experience with a roaring elbow strike that knocked the referee out, that we hear has gotten her a hundred thousand dollar fine for assaulting an official, who wants to go collect that off her is welcome to try I bet.
Anyway craziness aside, this was a solid win in the end for Mandy after a poor start, she seem to be feeling the pressure to succeed, if she relaxed more then she would achieve in our eyes all that she wants to in the sport.
For Michishige this was a rude awakening, she started off well and I will say she is a skillful fighter, the two issues were A) she seemed to take the fight lightly going into it, B) once under pressure she threw away what makes her successful to brawl, these two things need to be sorted out as we have seen successful fighters not fulfil their promise because of temperament more then skill level.

Final Part: An interview with Bethany Lily April (interview done via zoom) Tom: hello Bethany, it is great to see you even if not in person sadly, I know my colleague Michelle (Joy Phelps) wishes she could talk to you as she is a big fan of what she has seen so far.
Bethany: thank you so much for having me on the show, tell Michelle I hope to speak to her too sometime, sorry I couldn't come in as been training hard for my next fight.
Tom: so we have a quick video to show how much work you are doing to get into great fighting shape, this was when you weren't at the gym.
Bethany: haha yeah that was a bit of fun, if you see me in the boxing gym I am working a lot harder, I feel maybe in my best ever shape doing this, this has been a great experience for me so far.
Tom: it has been said that you could have easily just stayed out the ring, you have millions of followers on your social media, what was it that made you want to join the BBU in the first place.
Bethany: (smiling warmly) as you say I am proud of the amount of followers I have, they are all so loving and I hope to do them proud, some asked me to do this and to be honest this has been something I have been looking into a while.
You may know I am friends with Laci Kay Somers, who of course has been in the BBU awhile, she told me how much she enjoyed it and we sparred a few times, I am glad I didn't fight her then because my lord she would have kicked my arse haha.
Tom: well you have made a great start to your BBU career, beating Peta Todd and Danni Wells to kick off things, how did you feel about those fights? Anything you would have changed?
Bethany: of course I wish I hadn't been as nervous for my debut, now I have had those two fights this feels just natural to me, the Danni fight got me an understanding of that this isn't just for fun, if I go in there thinking I will simply bounce on my toes giving the crowd a show, my opponent's are trying to smash my boobs off my chest, I am fully dialled in now on how serious I need to be.
Tom: it is well known now who you want in the ring in future, first though you have Keeley Hazell to fight, are you looking beyond her or is this where your focus is?
Bethany: I know Keeley is a tough fighter, her record doesn't fully tell the story, I have watched the tapes on her and she is in my eye line, I feel strong and I don't think she can handle that power as we fight.
Of course I know that my fans have all these ideas for me, like taking on the likes of Lucy Pinder, I am open to whatever comes my way, I have three fights in my mind that I want personally.
Tom: can you name those three?
Bethany: haha well I have spoken about two, Kate Upton and Kelly Brook are my dream match ups, I have had my followers making face off pictures of me and Kate, some I can't share here haha, they are both fights I really want, both are amazing, I respect them but I want to beat them.
The last is obvious too, I want to take that title from Tamara Ecclestone, I know she beat Kate Upton twice and that she hasn't been much a fan of me coming in the BBU, I hope to prove that she is simply afraid of what is coming for her.
Tom: OK final question, anyone who has been following the drama over stables wanting to sign you, can you at least give us a hint of where you might end up at?
Bethany: hmm all I will say is you along with my fans with know soon enough, I have to admit I have enjoyed seeing all this chase for my signature, I never expected that when I announced I was going to try this, I hope my fans will be happy to hear who I have picked.
Tom: thank you for your time, that is all we have time for sadly, thank you to everyone who took the time to read these posts, we hope you enjoyed them, we will be back next Sunday morning for the next edition of the Real View.

Enough of this crap! Jordan is maybe struggling BUT we've got Sophia Thomalla to silence all the critics! Real View will eat major crow once Sophia becomes BBU champion! My coaching skills are more than enough to keep Black Eagle Boxing in the news for all the GOOD reasons!
