Part 1: St Patrick's Day 21 brawl Every year St Patrick's Day isn't just a day to celebrate in Ireland with a few drinks and now the rest of the world, in Celebrity boxing each year the BBU and FCBA celebrates the time with a fight, sometimes bare knuckle, other times a traditional bout, while things have been all over the place, we still had a brawl.
Last years winner Nadia Forde got a chance to defend her unofficial crown on the day, beating Una Healy in a bare knuckle brawl last year, this time the gloves were on as her opponent Maura Higgins didn't want to risk her looks more then she needed to.
Maura probably wasn't best pleased that in round one she suffered a cut under her left eye, Nadia was showing her the ropes in these style of fights, bashing back the model along them as Higgins took on a defensive posture after the cut.
Round two was where things really kicked off, Maura came back with a vengeance as she worked back Nadia to the ropes after a hard fought first minute, Nadia maybe too predictable as she was going for that, she came roaring back late in the round with a stray elbow, remember that the rules in these fights are a little more lax, Maura didn't look happy about that as she complained to the referee after the bell.
Back and forth went the action over the next two rounds, Nadia going the head hunting route to Maura's body assault, both women were giving it their all as they looked almost primal the looks they were giving each other, no love lost one bit between these two beautiful brawlers.
In round five the tables finally swung to one side, Maura first caught Nadia a little low around the waistband, then she turned up the heat with the body work, crowding the older Irish lass on the ropes as she threw with venom behind her punches.
Trying to fight back in the next two rounds just saw Forde leaving herself too open, Maura making her pay by bursting her nose, which would lead to her downfall as in round seven a left hook sent Nadia onto all fours with blood pooling under her, while she beat the count; thankfully the referee stopped the bout before Nadia really got hurt.
What a big victory for Maura, who it should be noted looked chummy with Nadia after, that Irish fighting spirit perfectly on show as both women left it all in the ring and were happy to smile while drinking with someone moments ago they were trying to batter into submission.
Maura could go a long way in the BBU, she has some talent clearly and toughed it out against a strong opponent here, maybe her lack of a one punch knockout could be a cause for concern, we have seen several champions with that issue so she can overcome it.
For Forde it was another bitter defeat for someone who could be a champion in her own right, she seems to drop the ball on these marque fights for the most part, only her victory over Una last year can be seen as a success in a major fight.

Part 2: Holly Peers vs Esti Gintzberg In a week where two Israeli boxers caught the eyes of many in the FCBA, the underperforming Esti decided to get back onto the beach to box a tough contender in Holly, how smart was that?
Well remember Holly in her last fight nearly took down our current champion Miranda Kerr in a top level clash, while she was ring rusty, Holly looked in great shape as she stepped through the ropes into the ring set up on a beach in Dubai.
Esti herself look in amazing shape as always, coming out in the opening round like a house on fire, she beat back Holly around the ring as the English glamour model couldn't hold the Israeli off her.
It was a stark repeat for the most part in the second, Esti was clearly fired up after hearing her countrywomen get praised, but she left herself more open to counters later in the round, with Holly showing her raw power with some nasty hooks out her guard.
By round three Holly had finally worked out a plan of action, landing some crunching body shots that had Esti groaning, Holly pressed her back in their heated exchanges, making the beautiful blonde look overwhelmed for the first time since they stepped into the ring.
While Gintzberg was gamely fighting, Peers was simply beating her back, sending Esti down in the third with some nasty hooks up top, it was actually the hooks to the body that finished the job as Esti curled up in the sand sobbing in the fifth as it was over for her.
While Esti blew her chance to steal her nations spotlight back, she looked wonderful early on but simply couldn't sustain that charge, once she got hurt it was a matter of time before it was game over for her.
Meanwhile Holly probably got the fright of her life early on, she held her nerve very well, it's going to be interesting to see if she can fulfil the potential many see in her, the power is there, is the technique to push her into that elite level? Time will certainly tell here, it has to be said that the This is Glamour stable seems to have found a new lease of life this year.

Part 3: Leah Perkins vs Michelle Keegan More of those stunning Perkins siblings this week as they swapped opponents from an earlier card this month, Leah was looking to put the death nail it seems in Michelle's elite aspirations, while making herself a title contender.
When they stepped into the ring you could feel Michelle wasn't her usual self, while she talked a good game in firing back verbally on the cocky Leah, she looked somewhat nervous when the bell went.
Michelle tried to counter punch the Aussie prospect, instead she simply was overawed by Perkins, who sent Michelle down after hammering her with some nasty hooks, then after cutting Keegan's left eye, she ended the night early with an uppercut, for the first time in Michelle's hall of fame worthy career, she was knocked out in the first round.
Even though Leah did this feat already this month against Georgia May Foote, but to do it to Michelle is a real statement that may send shockwaves through the division, if you are a contender or even the champion, let's see who can stop her surge up the rankings.
For Michelle well what can I say? Only she knows what is going wrong, mentally from the outside she looks shot, I'm a fan of hers so I hope she can recover from this epic slump, it is up to her to fix whatever is happening.

Final Part: Mimi Perkins vs Georgia May Foote On the other side of the Perkins coin is Mimi, not as hard a hitter as her sister but maybe quicker with her fists, Georgia was hoping not to repeat her last time in the ring with a Perkins, ending up knocked out in just one round.
If Michelle was a little nervous before her fight, Georgia looked to be bricking it as she was talking to her coach before the bout, shuffling around as she wouldn't make eye contact with Mimi.
When the fight started off looking like it was going to be a nice feeling out process, smartly Mimi was able to cut off the ring, then bashed Georgia to the body, pinning her into corners as the actress was being overwhelmed by the model.
The second round didn't go much better for Georgia, the body shots were really ripping through her, Mimi kept pressing Georgia near the ropes, the mixture of power and speed was proving too much for Foote as she went down for a count of eight.
Georgia did make it out for round three, Mimi was quick to return pounding her down into the canvas, arguably the referee could have stopped the fight earlier, Georgia instead had to stare up at the posing Mimi as she was counted out.
While Georgia let's be frank right now isn't going to push up many trees in the ring now, Mimi dominated her from start to finish, she was sublime and if she can keep this momentum up, well could we see both siblings maybe hold a belt each?
I don't see Georgia getting much more fights beyond these type of ones, where she is most likely to lose, she seems to be crushed mentally and it is a real shame, she was someone once with great potential that hasn't fulfilled it.
That's all we have time for folks, thank you so much to everyone who has taken the time to read these posts, we hope you enjoyed them, we will be back next Sunday morning for the next edition of the Real View.
