Part 1: BBU JMDD title fight The JMDD division has had quite it's drama in the past few months, ranging from cheating accusations to arguments between several of the top fighters in the division, this has led to one of the most highly anticipated title fights in the divisions short history taking place on Wednesday night.
The undefeated Bethany Lily April had earned this shot by defeating Kelly Brook, that put her into the path of the champion Tamara Ecclestone, who claimed she shouldn't have to fight one month after defending her title, she made several excuses as for the first time she looked a little rattled going into a fight.
Tamara tried to come out the gates quickly but was met with strong resistance, Bethany showed her raw power in the opening round by bashing back the champion in their close range exchanges.
That led to Ecclestone beginning to get on her bike more, jabbing to work at range, Bethany showed some inexperience as she swung in some wild hooks, missing more then she landed in round two and three to give Tamara conference.
Things took a turn in the fifth when Tamara put down Bethany with a hard set of hooks across her jugs, Bethany looked to be in the worst trouble of her career, with a low blow from Tamara looking like the killer blow, unlike some of the fights Tamara has had she got caught this time.
Given time to recover as Tamara got warned by the referee, Bethany was back on the attack and the fight swung back to her, with Tamara getting hurt by uppercuts that rocked her breasts around.
The eighth round come with both women hurt, another uppercut come and Tamara took her knee for the first time in the fight, on they came but Tamara couldn't take anymore, she turned and quit! Losing the title by submission to Bethany.
Some would argue the end was fitting, Tamara possibly could have won without cheating, that low blow worked against her, whether she got desperate or she wanted to hurt Bethany badly, that one mistake turned the fight.
Now the question is who gets the first shot, just at ringside for this fight you had Kate Upton, Hayley Atwell and Hailey Clauson, on the card you had Christine McGuiness, who we shouldn't forget got low blowed herself by Tamara in their title fight a month ago was saying she should get a shot, the division has grown so much in the past two years that there are plenty of worth challengers.

Part 2: BBU bantamweight title fight This fight had a lot of possible history surrounding it, Alexandra Stan was aiming to be the person to win a title with the least amount of fights, to be the first Romanian BBU champ, Charlotte Church was the woman aiming to stop that happening by keeping the title.
It should be said that Charlotte made it clear that Alexandra was her second choice, insulting Vicky Pattison and indirectly (maybe on purpose) her challenger Alexandra, who claimed she didn't care about any of that drama, she was simply here to smash Church.
The opening round proved that point as Alexandra was on the front foot from the bell, driving Charlotte back under the sheer volume of punches, pressing the champ around the ring, maybe Charlotte took her eyes off the ball to start.
Charlotte came back into it in the second with her classic hard body work, but Alexandra was looking in stunning form, moving freely and boxing Charlotte more cleanly to her face then the champs stable would have liked.
The first major moment happened in the fifth as the challenger scored big with a right hook that sent Church down to the canvas, the champion is as tough as old boots, she stood up at seven and waved Stan to bring it on.
Which of course she did, but Alexandra was too reckless with her punching, she got peppered around her liver with some stiff shots, that were slowly taking affect as visible by her movement slowing down, with more chopping punches landing up top.
Finally the comeback was complete as in the eighth a left hook around the ear buzzed Alexandra, the uppercut that followed put her lights out as Alexandra was out before she hit the deck!
Alexandra shouldn't be top depressed by this loss, she looked crisp for someone only in their fourth fight, maybe she need more seasoning but she looks a real contender already, don't write her off getting another chance at the title.
For the champion when you have that one punch knockout power, it is a hell of an equaliser, Charlotte is going to be hard to dethrone, with her having a JMD defence next month, could the schedule of holding two titles grind her down sooner then we think?

Part 3: Zara Holland vs Mikie Hara Two former BBU flyweight champions meeting in what a lot of people see as a dream fight, you have an international flavour to it, a clash of styles, it had the ingredients to be a great fight.
Surprisingly judging how most fights now have either a manufactured rivalry attached or real hatred, these two were professional when they agreed to fight, to then stepping in the ring together, no mud slinging or claiming they would humiliate the other in the build up, this was simply two tough fighters wanting a piece of each other.
The first two rounds laid the groundwork of what was to come, Mikie starting strong in the first with her fearsome mixture of speed and power, in the second Zara showed her punch power by sending Mikie down for the count of five.
Things turned bad for Holland in the next two rounds, Mikie opened a cut above the left eye of the English lass, then in the fourth she sent her down for a count of seven, then again from a body shot for an eight count, the crowd was going wild as these two had come to brawl.
Things changed again as Zara showed her resilience to fight back, cutting Mikie on her left cheek as this was a truly bloody brawl, neither wanted to give an inch, even as they were exhausted they kept coming at each other.
By the eighth round Mikie was the more tired, Zara just beat her senseless till Mikie went down, the Japanese superstar was out for the count as Zara got an important win to take a step back towards the title.
What a war, I could watch these two tour battling each other, of course both will probably look elsewhere for now but I'd love their paths to cross again because this was a fight of the year contender on a card full of them.
While Mikie lost I don't think this defeat will take the fear factor some women have of her away, in fact it might add to it as she stood toe to toe with one of the monster hitters of the division in an absolute tear up for the ages.
Zara on the other hand seems torn between going for the title or seeking new challenges for the moment, one thing you can't doubt is she is elite level, with her power no flyweight is safe from her in the world.

Final Part: Diana Korkunova vs Lucia Liu The curious case of Diana Korkunova continued this month, once she was the dominant champion of the flyweights, now she seems to be questioning herself and fighting rookies to try to find her mojo.
This was the debut of Lucia Liu, who I won't pretend I know because sadly I am getting old and the new wave is starting to pass me by, but from first looks she looks physically impressive, clearly not afraid to work hard in a gym which is a bonus in my eyes.
Before the bell both spoke in polite terms, which I might get stick for but not every person in boxing has to hate every other fight, though talk of a friendly exhibition did make me wonder how true that would be as Lucia could score the upset of the year and be a contender after one fight.
At that opening bell Diana didn't look in the mood to be giving out free passes to rookies, she gave Lucia a stern warning of what to expect by hassling her around the ring, showing the beautiful technique that made her such a force in the flyweights.
Things didn't get better for the rookie, who was gamely fighting hard to try to make headway but Korkunova looked like she had a point to prove, for being an exhibition she was giving Liu an absolute hammering.
To the credit of Lucia she kept on smiling after the bells, sitting on her stool looking ready for more, even after getting put down in the third by a hard right hook, she was up at six waving at Diana to bring it on in bizarre fashion.
Finally that resistance was knocked out of her by the third knockdown by Diana in the fourth, more hooks did the job as Lucia couldn't shake that knockdown off, leading to her being counted out.
It was touching to see Diana hug Lucia and even raise her arm to the crowd to cheers, Diana is a real class act who is an ambassador in my eyes for the BBU, you can't help love her, though I am sure some of her rivals disagree.
Lucia I have to say is tough as nails clearly, she fits the Diana mould ironically of being a tall lithe flyweight, I'd hope Lucia can train with Diana for a bit but obviously that's up to them, the question we didn't get answered is how good Lucia is, with the Next Generation cards and Sirens scouting events along with all sorts of events now in the BBU, I'll keep my eyes on Lucia as there maybe more to her then this fight showed.
That's all we have time for folks, thank you to everyone who took the time to read these posts, we hope you enjoyed them, next Sunday morning the next edition of the Real View will be up, we hope you can join us then.
