Part 1: Jorgie Porter vs Victoria Justice Former stablemates turned bitter enemies kicked off this years Ryder Cup, Jorgie left the Kear's Kat's stable earlier this year, as was revealed not long after is that Jorgie and Victoria had plenty of friction between them all the time they shared a gym, what better way of settling it then in the ring on one of the biggest stages.
The fight itself certainly allowed them to get their anger towards each other out, thudding shots rung out right away, Jorgie was being outworked early on Victoria landed piston like head shots, the taller fighter got caught a few times but certainly had to enjoy how she started.
The same couldn't be said in the second round, Jorgie started to move her head move to counter, late in the round clocking Justice with a clean shot to the body that sent the American down to her front, Victoria was up at eight to keep the fight going, though it was clear she had some wind taken out her sails as the third was a hammering experience for her.
There was nearly a miracle in Minneapolis situation as Victoria caught Jorgie coming after her in the fourth, a short left hook dumped the English lass to the canvas, the crowd was screaming their hearts out, but gamely Jorgie beat the count, both women were clearly hurting as this was a battle of wills.
Sadly if you are a Victoria fan it ended dramatically in the fifth, a missed punch led to her being countered with a flush right, her guard deserted her as she was beaten around her face, in the end an uppercut sent Victoria to the canvas in a heap, knocked clean out to shock the crowd, Europe went one up out the gates.
It should be said that both women were hugging in the back judging by their social media, Jorgie showing her class to go check on her rival, mending what friendship they had as maybe being away from each other this past year with simply beating each other silly took the tension away.

Part 2: Raven Lyn vs Heidi Klum After the first fight saw both teams go with similar strategies of fielding young, strong contenders, Team USA went with the youngster Raven Lyn, who has shown she has power, if needing to be patient at times, taking on Team Europe's veteran Heidi Klum in what felt like could be a fight to the finish as neither would want to go the distance.
Heidi certainly showed she didn't want to hang around with Raven for too long, coming out the gates quickly with several hard combination punches to force the younger fighter back, problem was with less then a minute to go in the round Raven caught her with a hard left hook, then pounded the body of the German cougar to the delight of the crowd.
The wheels looked to be coming off for Klum, who simply didn't have the speed she did a decade ago to dodge the big punches coming her way, Lyn sent her down right at the bell to end the second, arguably the towel could have been thrown in then as Heidi looked demoralised.
Gamely Heidi come out looking to pay Raven back, instead the one way traffic continued, Heidi was knocked out by a powerful right hook, which after the bell she may have been happy snoozing as Raven planted her right foot on Klum's chest while making the point she deserves more respect.
The thing with Raven is so far she has just proven to be a bully, she looks great when she can move forwards with power punches, the worry starts when she needs to box, her jab needs work but she has the physical attributes to be an elite contender if she sticks in with her training.

Part 3: Baskin Champion vs Nabilla Benattia Baskin was coming into the fight after upsetting Maroles Horst to get her first win in three fights, compared to Nabilla going in on a five fight winning run, the betting odds were on the French woman, Baskin had the crowd firmly behind her.
The tension between the fighters was clear before the bell, after Nabilla had made sure to tell all the journalists coming to the fight that she could whoop any blonde on any given day, Baskin wouldn't touch gloves with her opponent, instead they locked eyes in a nasty stare down.
While Baskin didn't agree with Nabilla's assessment before the fight, she couldn't do much about the French woman out the gate, getting smashed back by a flurry of jabs, Baskin was trying to stick in but didn't have the power to keep her opponent at bay.
Slowly in round two and three Baskin was making headway, smartly boxing around her opponent, the brunette was looking to make a statement, instead it was Champion getting a grip on things, snapping back the head of Benattia to get the crowd getting excited.
Then shockingly in the fourth the upset seemed on, Nabilla got hammered across their nose, blood started to flow from it before down she went for a count of eight, up got Nabilla looking furious, all that did was opening her up to more punishment in the five till a right hook knocked her out to end the five fight winning run!
Another upset by Baskin, who is slowly building up her skills, as Lucy Hale showed in the BBU after an awful start to her career, she became an FCBA world champion, so Baskin has role models to believe she can do it, she certainly has an injection of confidence by her throwing out challenges left and Rigby after the bout showed.

Final Part: Martha Hunt vs Lorena Rae Going into this fight it was 2-1 to team USA, Martha Hunt had the crowd behind her as she stepped into the ring wanting to win the Ryder Cup outright by getting revenge on Lorena Rae for a knockout defeat by in 2018, it helped that she was coming in on a win, while Lorena lost only a month ago in the Victoria Secret Tournament first round.
Getting into the ring the tension was clear to see between them, certainly there would be no pictures of these two cuddling at the end of the night; this was personal, the opener showed that as Lorena flew out the blocks like Usain Bolt, then decided to taunt Martha, which only earned her a hammering back into a neutral corner in a fiery start to the fight.
Each time Lorena would start a round strong, she'd be pegged back by Martha, who didn't look like she would be denied as she stuck her ground, landing a hard counter that would open up the German star to even more power shots, it was a great back and forth war between these two rivals.
In the end though Hunt was simply too good on the night, rocking Lorena badly in the fourth, that led into the fifth, where she dismantled the guard of Rae to send her to her back after busting her nose up, while Lorena got up at six, she was knocked straight back down with a one punch knockdown that any fighter would be proud of.
After the bout Martha made sure to call out a heap of contenders in the welterweights, she has always had the physical attributes to be dangerous in the division, problem has always been she relied on that too much and didn't seem to put many hours into sparring or learning the basic skills to a master level, we might be seeing the arrival of Hunt as a top fighter.
I have heard stories of the celebrations that took place in the Team USA locker room, but maybe a gossip page will post that, it was a great card and being a European, I will be hoping that we can come back to the next event stronger.
That's all we have time for folks, thank you so much to you for reading these posts, we want to extend a big thank you to CBR and Vassago for creating a great event with the Ryder Cup, we will be back next Sunday morning with the next edition of the Real View.
