Real View intro: Hello Ladies and Gentlemen, Happy New Year to all our BBU fans, we hope you had a wonderful holiday, we are back each Sunday now with news, previews, reviews and rumours around the BBU.
This weeks episode is a special edition, we kick off by recapping what has happened in the BBU in the past twelve months, so if you are still looking up fights from the past year we suggest you read this once you've gotten through what you wanted to, as we will of course be spoiling several key results over the last year.
We'll be backing the show up into our usual four parts, with each taking a three month period, we hope you enjoy our show and we want to extend a massive thank you to those who help write fights, create results and manage in the BBU for doing an amazing job!

Part 1: January to March As usual with a new year comes new faces, in our very first fight of the year we got our first glimpses of Bethany Lily April, she would go on to knockout Danni Wells in her debut, we will be discussing more of Bethany as we go on this show.
In January we also saw Damaris Lewis retain her BBU welterweight title, she smacked down Rozanna Purcell in a hard fought bout, Damaris would then venture into the FCBA for the Diamond Boxing tournament, less said about that the better for Damaris.
February kicked off full of drama as the Kear's Kat's stable went to war with the Beever's Babes, it was a land slide three to nothing record for the Kat's, with Zara Holland smashing the former champion Michelle Keegan to retain her BBU flyweight title, she'd later go on to defeat Ewelina Lisowska in the same month.
March gave us a taste of the future of the ACB, with the Perkins and Herbert sisters making some big statements, we would later in the year see Olympia Valance beat Miranda Kerr to take the ACB bantamweight title, the future looks very bright for our Australian cousins.
We also said goodbye sadly to Alessandra Ambrosio, who had a heartfelt night celebrating her career and she got to show how much she meant to the Girls Friday stable by knocking out her stablemate Kelly Gale, sadly that wasn't the last goodbye we would be giving out.
We can't forget the Saint Patrick's days brawl, Maura Higgins knocked out Nadia Forde in a heck of a bare knuckle brawl, both women came full of national pride and left full of drink by the end of the night, watch out for Maura to make waves this year as she looks a real prospect.
Finally the PPV in March was jam packed full of stories, Bethany Lily April defeated Kelly Brook to earn herself a BBU JMDD title shot, which would be against Tamara Ecclestone, who used underhanded tactics to beat Christine McGuiness, while on the same night Zara Holland would lose to a familiar foe, Ewelina Lisowska ripping the BBU flyweight title off her in a heck of a battle.

Part 2: April to June April saw a mixture of new and old faces, we got our first sight of Amy Jackson and Leomie Anderson here in the BBU, while the ACB got to see Tahan Lew-Fatt make her debut, ending up later losing a grudge fight to Olympia Valance, expect her to come back strong.
On the veteran side of things, we got the shock of Amanda Holden taking out Geri Halliwell, that was a stunning win for the beautiful blonde, who has shown that maybe cougar boxing is where she is perfect for after a terrible career when she was in her prime.
The two major talking points coming out of April though were Charlotte Church retaining her BBU bantamweight title against Alexandria Stan, then the same night we saw the coronation of Bethany Lily April as the JMDD champion in the BBU, in the fastest rise in BBU history, Bethany only needed four months to claim a title.
May kicked off with Indris Weis smacking down her bitter rival Alesha Dixon, both had talked trash for months, in the end it was Alesha kissing the canvas wondering why she was sore, on the grudge front we saw the Dutch lightweights all have a pop at each other, leading to Marloes Horst and Robin Holzken doing battle, in the end Robin claimed bragging rights, with Doutzen Kroes and Yasmin Verheijen also making up Holland's lightweight corps, that argument is far from over.
Title wise Charlotte Church would retain her other title, beating Danielle Sharp in a nasty JMD fight that saw the BBU JMD title stay on the massive boobs of Charlotte, who promptly embarrassed Danielle for daring to challenge her.
June saw more grudges be settled (for now) as Vicky Pattison and Jennifer Metcalfe did battle in a body saddle bout, Jennifer would end up playing horse as she was stopped by Vicky in the ring, then had the saddle firmly placed onto her back.
In title news from that month Elisabetta Canalis lost her BBU Italian lightweight title to Federica Nagri, both women stepped into the ring with a score to settle and the Italian fans know now who the best in their country is right now.

Part 3: July to September July was a funny month as we had two BBU PPV's due to a delay to Junes event, in the first of the events, Bethany Lily April kept her BBU JMDD title by defeating Christine McGuiness, on the same card we saw Ewelina Lisowska make it two for two for the champions as she kept the BBU flyweight title by knocking out Jade Ewen.
As ever July is also crossover month, where we saw a first time battle between legends Lucy Liu and Dannii Minogue, it was the ACB hall of Famer Dannii Minogue knocking out Lucy in a spirited clash, we also saw Kate Upton march towards the JMDD title by knocking out Tamara Ecclestone, then in the fight of the year, Kate would dethrone Bethany Lily April, soon becoming the first ever unified BBU/FCBA division champion by adding the FCBA JMDD title.
We had a big anniversary card in August as the Lioness Club stable reached ten years, while it wasn't a clean sweep for the Lionesses on the night, it was a perfect night to celebrate one of the most influential stables in the BBU's storied history.
September started on a sad note as Lisa Maffia decided to retire, after losing to Nicola Roberts, she decided to hang her gloves up for the final time, Lisa was the first two weight world champion in BBU history, she is a true legend of the ring.
On a more positive note we saw four title fights on that months PPV, Miranda Kerr (BBU lightweight title), Damaris Lewis (BBU welterweight title) and Kate Upton (BBU JMDD title) retained their belts, but Ewelina Lisowska could not hers, maybe pushing herself too hard as she was arguably the work horse of the BBU, she would lose to Ivana Baquero, who became the first ever Spanish BBU world champion.

Final Part: October to December Into the home stretch on the year, the Romanian Invasion stable had been having a civil war over the few months before October, Inna and Elena Gheorghe decided to finally settle it in the ring, after punishing round after round and will a little dirty boxing, Inna finally came out on top, while things seem to have quietened down, I still suspect they are not done with each other just yet.
Talking of grudge fights, Maisie Smith and Lottie Moss had their own trouble brewing, the two prospects calling each other out, they would clash on the Boxing Day card with Maisie coming out on top and putting herself in title contention, we will discuss that more soon.
As we can't talk about October without talking about the Ryder Cup, like the golf course competition was fierce in front of the American crowd, the Americans would take home the trophy as Martha Hunt finished the job by knocking out Lorena Rae.
November saw the Girls Friday stable go through it's own tenth anniversary event, the night was rounded off by Olympia Valance retaining her ACB bantamweight title over Teresa Palmer, while Ivana Baquero kept the BBU flyweight title in a great fight against former champion Diana Korkunova, the stable has seen many changes over the years, it'll be interesting to see how it keeps evolving.
More major news in November came as Karen Gillan claimed the BBU welterweight title from Damaris Lewis, for over a decade it has been said that Karen is one of the best prospects in the welterweights, it may have taken longer then some pictured but she is finally on the top of the world.
Finally we have to discuss the wonderful Boxing Day PPV, we crowned a new BBU bantamweight champion as Sophia Thomalla became the first German BBU champion since Hall of Famer Jessica Schwarz, defeating Charlotte Church to show the Black Eagle stable means business.
So that was the past year in a nutshell, we know 2022 will be as action packed and full of classic fights, each division seems to be growing stronger each month, that's all we have time for this week folks, thank you so much to those who read these posts, we will be back next Sunday with the next edition of the Real View.
