Part 1: Zara McDermott vs Cara De La Hoyde We kicked off the action this week with a JMD bout between two Love Island alumni, this was Zara McDermott's debut in that style, winning her first two fights in traditional boxing rules, Cara De La Hoyde has been around the contenders in the JMD division these past few years, so you have to give McDermott credit for going big early in her career.
Of course Cara disagreed with that, telling us in the media that while she was flattered Zara called her out, she doesn't see the hype around the prospect, especially calling out our friend Kate Abdo for saying Zara could be a future world champion.
The opening round saw both women were highly motivated for this one, Cara was showing her experience with short nudges to keep Zara from getting comfortable, then coming to the inside to throw nasty uppercuts ripped through the breasts of the rookie.
As the rounds went on it was clear that the experience of Cara was going to be key, Zara wasn't enjoying getting pressured right up the middle, the blonde couldn't seem to shake off Cara, even as she tried to match the intensity of the brunette didn't seem enough.
When Zara made some headway in the fourth round, Cara would come roaring back in the fifth as those body shots she had been throwing since the first round paid off big style, a few more body shots opened up Zara for a hard shot across her jaw that sent her down for the count to the dismay of the crowd.
It was a rough learning experience to say the least for McDermott, who came to fight but couldn't last under the mauling from Cara, who has to have gotten some attention from our JMD champion Charlotte Church, though if that fight happens I hope Cara realises it won't be this easy.

Part 2: Raffaella Modugno vs Vogue Williams Both these beautiful models needed to get back on the winning path, they had lost their last fights and in Vogues case things were starting to look desperate looking, losing big fights like to her national rival Rozanna Purcell, a new year though means a new start, who changed their fortunes?
Neither said much in the build up, instead smartly focusing on getting through the ropes into the ring, then showing they meant business, both got stuck into each other at the bell, it got scruffy as both tired to impose their will on the fight, with Raffaella looking to enjoy the style of bout more at first.
As the fight progressed Vogue slowly built her way up, landing the much crisper jab of the fighters, the better power shots though were coming from Raffaella, who at times in the first two rounds had Williams pinned against ropes or a corner when she could unleash that power.
Problem for the Italian beauty was she couldn't stop Vogue smacking her on the nose, which in round four was burst open, that slowed down the Modugno charge as she worried about her nose, William's not needing an invitation let her hands go, knocking down Raffaella for a count of eight near the end of the fourth.
While Raffaella was patched up, she was hammered back again quickly in the fifth, leading to a left hook on her ear being too much for her, down went Raffaella for the count, an important victory scored by Vogue as she shows she still has contender aspirations.
Of course after being patched up Raffaella wasn't happy with the decision, claiming a low shot had cost her the fight, there was a close call for the referee in the third from Vogue, but it was a round later when the nose of the gorgeous Italian was bust up that led to her downfall, this may not be the last in their careers these two stare each other down in a boxing ring.

Part 3: flyweight contenders With a new year comes usually fresh challenges for a champion, we will be looking in each division over the next few weeks, casting our eyes over the challengers we feel are likely to be in line for a shot over the next twelve months, to be clear this is our opinions, not those of the current champions managers, so don't read too much into our choices as being definitive, so let's get started.
*Diana Korkunova - first up is someone for me who has been the most consistent fighter in all the BBU over the past three years, Diana was a dominant flyweight champion till the beginning of 2021, a former winner of the fighter of the year, flyweight and rookie of the year, she has only recently had a shot, still expect at some point Diana to be in the hunt.
*Ewelina Lisowska - the same goes for the most recent former champion, Ewelina has ripped through the BBU in short order, the kick boxing Polish singer arrived in the BBU and made her goals known that she simply wanted to be the best, she achieved that by beating Zara Holland for the title, like Diana she is probably in the boat of waiting till the later part of this year for the shot at the belt, still expect this year for Ewelina to prove she is the best of the Lioness Club stable.
*Cheryl Cole - on that note how about her stablemate and another former champion on our list, the division might have the most depth of all, Cheryl would be higher on the list but she has been mostly focusing on the FCBA since losing the belt, though you will see Cheryl come back for big match ups to the BBU, she will be linked to the title till she retires.
*Zara Holland - Zara is probably the hardest punches on our list, again as you can guess a former champion, she has scores to settle this year, one will be bringing home the title to show she is one of the most dominant forces in the division.
Now to those who have never held the title but very well could make the break through this year.
*Lily Allen - the other woman to argue about in the hardest hitter of the flyweights, Lily has reinvented herself physically over the past year and a bit, it was known that Lily wasn't a great trainee, now she is in the best shape of her life, maybe this is the year she finally fulfils her potential and claims the BBU flyweight title, she also has history with the current champion.
*Holly Hagan - another woman who has reinvented herself is Holly, the reality star has rebuild herself into a lighter more mobile version, the former JMD champion has her eyes on adding the flyweight title to her CV, don't rule her out making her way to the top.
That's just a flavour of who is in the title hunt, that's not even putting names like the returning Jenna Louise Coleman to the BBU, women like Michelle Keegan and Samia Ghadie always are around the title, with even more names, the flyweight division to me in the BBU is the most stacked division in all of celebrity boxing for the top level of talent in it.

Final Part: An interview with Melinda Messenger Tom: over the last twelve months, one of the real surprise packages has been the rejuvenation of the This is Glamour stable, we are here speaking to their manager the former page three model, TV presenter Melinda Messenger.
(Melinda appears over video link on screen)
Melinda: Hi Tom, it is great to be here, hopefully I am not too dull now I am a little older haha.
Tom: oh I certainly don't think you are dull Melinda *chuckles* so you had quite a year, we have to start off by discussing your scouting mission last year, before we get to the two big signings you made, what made you decide you wanted new blood in your stable?
Melinda: to put it simply we grew stagnant, same girls in the gym each day sparring each other, for the girls themselves I know they were getting a little frustrated with coming in and just going through the same motions each day, I felt that myself at the Club Beautiful stable.
So I decided to go search for something new, I looked over Instagram and even over my old stomping grounds of page three, since I know first hand how competitive that field is, I grew up taking on Linda Lusardi in topless catfights on sets, then Katie Price as she started to come through, hence I found Bethany Lily April and Shannon Singh.
Tom: well you certainly found two gems there, Bethany of course winning our rookie and fighter of the year for a truly amazing twelve months, did you really envision her rise being so fast?
Melinda: well I don't think you expect a rookie to progress so quickly no matter who they are, Bethany came to me as a bright eyed young woman who I have to tell a story about, so I first saw her at a page three event where the young girls meet agents from modelling agency's and from some boxing stables like mine, there was an event booked for it as I was told two of the models had an issue with one another and wanted to settle it in front of us, trust me I did it myself when I was on the circuit.
Anyway in walks this brunette named Ellie, topless and big breasted, she looked a goddess wearing just a white thong, my eyes then look across and honestly my jaw nearly hit the floor, there stepped in Bethany in just a pink thong, these two titans locked up in a bear hug as it was about who had the best breasts, after smacking tits together, even trading a few bare fists when they got annoyed, Bethany of course came out on top after twenty minutes, I knew then that I had to get her in a boxing ring and see if she really had it.
Tom: wow! Christ I don't get invited to the good parties!
Melinda: haha! You have to be in the know Tom. *winks*
Tom: *takes a drink of water to cool off* so how about Shannon? She of course went into Love Island the favourite to win it and bombed out in the first elimination, what made you want to sign her?
Melinda: trust me I could see how furious she was about that, she wanted to win that show badly, when it didn't happen she didn't sulk but made sure she could get even if needed to with her rivals on that show, I found out she was working at a gym in her home country Scotland, saw her hit a punch bag like there was no tomorrow and decided to give her a shot against Molly Mae Hague, who has the bonus of a boxer boyfriend in Tommy Fury remember, so it shows you how Shannon thinks that she won the fight to sign for us.
Tom: she of course hasn't quite had the rise of Bethany, still she is two and zero in the ring, what do you see this year being like for Shannon?
Melinda: well she has to build herself up, I love her drive as I've said, she just needs to understand that not every punch has to have her full weight behind them, we hope to have her booked for a fight in February on the PPV, just about roughing the edges off and finding someone who wants to try their luck with her.
Tom: that's your two newest stars, we have to talk about one of your oldest and future hall of Famer, Kelly Brook, things have gotten trickier for her these past twelve months, what is her future?
Melinda: if you mean is she retiring, the answer is no, she wants to reach two hundred fights at least before her gloves go up on our wall, she still is one of the most dangerous fighters you can step into the ring with, how many fighters can go through a lean spell like she did and come back so dominant? I can bet you it's a lone handful at best.
She will most likely be focusing on the cougar division as well as the JMDD division, she has told me she has a few grudges to score, so I wouldn't tell her you think she is on the way out.
Tom: oh I won't, don't want to risk my health haha, so what other goals do you have for your stable?
Melinda: I hope to see more of Lacey (Banghard) in the ring, along with Emma (Glover) we want to get more contenders for titles, we are not here to make up the numbers in the BBU or FCBA, hopefully the other stables are working that out now.
Tom: that's all we have time for, thank you Melinda for taking your time to speak to us.
Melinda: anytime *waves to the camera*
Tom: thank you to all our fans for taking the time to read these posts, we hope you had a great time, we will be back next Sunday morning for the next edition of the Real View.
