Part 1: Karolina Kurkova vs Pia Miller The week of action kicked off with an interesting clash between two women needing a win to kick start any hopes of becoming a lightweight champion, Karolina Kurkova has the reputation of being a top operator in the ring, with elite names on her CV, Pia on the other hand has struggled for a marquee win, with some like BBU TV's Denise Van Outen suggesting she should focus on her home market of Australia instead of trying to conquer the world yet.
What made things even more interesting was the sight of Mallory Jansen at ringside, the former ACB lightweight champion has become an almost forgotten entity after she lost her title, as she made clear in a ringside interview, whoever came out on top of this bout would have to expect a contract with her name on coming their way to fight.
Off the blocks came Pia setting a fast pace behind her jab, she looked crisp over the first minute of action, then let her control slip with a silly mistake, leading to her getting an early understanding why Karolina is so dangerous, big punches knocking her to the ropes to the delight of Kurkova's fans.
While Karolina dominated the second round, Pia showed some fire in the third, the best round of the bout saw both landing some nasty shows, though again Karolina was the one more in control, Miller was still swinging in at times well wide of the mark, hinting why the Sirens stable binned her over a year ago.
In the fourth the beating got worse on Pia, another mistake was punished as Pia got smacked across her face by a nasty right hook, another landed on her nose to send her down for a seven count, maybe only pride got the Chilean actress up as it wasn't long later till she found herself flat on her back out for the count in a wonderful display of power and skill from Karolina.
Who as you can guess had a face off in the ring with Mallory, physically both women are very similar, question is how will ring rust effect Mallory, is Karolina gearing up for another shot at the BBU lightweight title, a win over a former champion will certainly help that goal, Mallory meanwhile would have people talking about her again in a positive manner, so both have plenty to fight for.
Pia on the other hand must feel rough after two defeats over a month period, Federica Nagri and Karolina Kurkova are not losses to be mocked about, the gorgeous if slightly controversial actress though needs to start finding wins, the fact Jennifer Hawkins gleeful called her out showed how little fear people have of facing Pia in the ring.

Part 2: Sam Cooke vs Jesy Nelson Both model Sam Cooke and singer Jesy Nelson have hardly pulled up trees in their careers, in fact their combined record is three wins in seventeen fights going into the JMD bout last night, a win would certainly be a big confidence boost as both venture into a new division to try to rejuvenate their careers.
Certainly both met the requirements for JMD boxing as they stepped into the ring, both wearing bikinis that showed them off, the fighters glared at each other to show they certainly didn't fear someone with as bad a record as they have, crowd was certainly behind them as the bell rung to start the action.
While Jesy looked keen to fight, it was Sam who laid down a marker with some nasty combos, Jesy was bullied around in the opening round, looking shell shocked as punches simply ripped through her inadequate guard, making some wonder if Sam had a little more power that the fight could have been done in just one round.
The second was another blitz style attack by Cooke, Nelson looked scared as she was being pummelled by the Manchester model, making Jesy's coach Myleene Klass need to give her a telling off at the end of the round, Jesy nodded but pundits wondered how much more she could take.
Things did turn around in the third, Sam maybe because she wasn't so used to be dominating a fight left herself wide open, Jesy scoring with several big punches to back up Cooke, giving her a much needed dose of confidence as Myleene looked relieved by the turn around.
Problem was those first two rounds, they most likely led to the collapse in the fourth round as one mistake opened up Jesy to more clean shots, this time she took an eight count from an uppercut, before Sam finally ended her resistance by pounding Jesy down to the canvas for the count.
It was a mostly sublime performance by Sam, though that third round was troubling, making you wonder if Jesy had started the opening round like that, could the result have been flipped as Sam was beaten from pillar to post, in the end though her early work laid the ground work for the beating at the end that won her the bout.

Part 3: BBU JMDD title fight preview On Wednesday the BBU pay per view with take place with a massive main event, Hailey Clauson looks to finally strike gold in celebrity boxing, problem for her is she is faced with one of (if not) the best boxer of the past decade, Kate Upton has become a force in two organizations, who will leave with the BBU JMDD title come the night of the night.
What is in the favour of Hailey is her great form in the BBU, she has won nine straight fights over three years in the organization, becoming arguably the best BBU fighter right now not holding a title, problem is on the flip side that Hailey has become a serial loser when the big titles are on the line.
In three shots at a JMDD title, Hailey hasn't won any, though part of you can't blame her when you look at the list of champions she faced, a rejuvenated Kelly Brook for the BBU version, for the FCBA it was Kylie Jenner and ironically a certain Kate Upton several years ago, will that loss to Kate have any bearing on this upcoming bout.
Kate meanwhile hasn't quite had it her own way, in fact she lost her last non title bout in the BBU in March, fighting in a barn bout against her bitter rival Tamara Ecclestone, that blip hasn't exactly broken her spirits though as she has beaten many of the best fighters in the world since, while Hailey has proven to be a bit of a choker in big marquee fights, Kate has won eleven titles over two organizations, she has the nickname "Queen" for a real reason, a nickname she earned.
Physically they are closely matched, two big hitting blondes, an inch of height between them that Hailey has over Kate, similar in styles too as they can box but love to bang when they create openings, this could be an absolute war if the first clash they had is anything to go by, the big questions are simply how much has Clauson improved? Along with how much is Kate in her head after that first fight?
Hailey certainly can beat Kate, she has all the physical tools and the skill set, the odds though are firmly on the side of Upton, she is the champion, she is the one who needs to be beaten to take the title off her, that big match experience looks hard to overcome as the days move by and we get closer to the bout.

Final Part: BBU bantamweight title fight preview Also on Wednesdays pay per view we have an interesting clash for the BBU bantamweight title, at one time Vera Brezhneva was seen as one of the most fearsome fighters in the bantamweight division, only thing she lacked is a title win, she will challenge the woman who has arguably become the face of the BBU with her domination of the bantamweight division, Sophia Thomalla puts the gold on the line again with the hopes of extending her undefeated streak.
The challenger Vera is a nasty mauler type of fighter, winning fourteen of her nineteen bouts, with good power in both hands, the Ukrainian singer has beaten the likes of Tamara Ecclestone, former BBU bantamweight champion Una Healy and Nicola Roberts, she is on a two fight winning run.
The big question for Vera is now she is forty years old, can she really show the stamina and speed to go along with her power to defeat the champion or has her time gone? Her results have certainly been more mixed in the past two years then the first two of her career five years ago.
Now to focus on the champion, Sophia Thomalla is undefeated in eleven fights, she won the title from Charlotte Church and has not look worried at all in her two title defences since, beating the then undefeated Maisie Smith and Vicky Pattison.
Sophia as we have said many times was a junior amateur kick boxer, it shows with her impressive footwork, her beautiful jab and she has an impressive mix of speed and power, there will be someone to beat her but the question is how? The most likely way arguably is a pressure fighter like Vera, Maisie really pushed Sophia in one of the toughest fights in the champs career so far, can Vera keep on top or Sophia long enough to beat her?
The odds are firmly on the side of the champion, while Vera will be very motivated to achieve her dream of becoming a champion for many reasons now, Sophia just seems the perfect package for dealing with her, Vera needs to have the best performance of her career to take the title.
That's all we have time for folks, thank you to everyone who took the time to read these posts, we hope you enjoyed them, we will be back next Sunday morning for the next edition of the Real View.
