Tale of the Tape:
Daisy Ridley:
Age: 30
Height: 5'7
W/L: 27-18 (27KOs)
Former BBU bantamweight champion.

VS
Sophia Thomalla:
Age: 32
Height: 5'7
W/L: 11-0 (11KOs)
Current BBU bantamweight champion.

This week we go with a former bantamweight champion against our current champion in our poll, there is always a debate about whose the best champion in a divisions history, well if Daisy Ridley and Sophia Thomalla fought for the title, who would come out on top?
Let's first go to our hypothetical red corner, Star Wars actress Daisy Ridley burst onto screens with her performance as Ray, she had a similar impact in boxing going undefeated in her first six fights, when people talk about butterfly effects and such, it would have been interesting to see what would have happened had her first stable (Alpha Boxing Club) not shut it's doors, as she started losing as a free agent, the Knockout babes stable saw her potential and under their training she was able to capture the BBU bantamweight title in 2020 to finally fulfil what many saw as her destiny.
Over her career she has fought top fighters in the BBU and FCBA, beating the likes of Sophia Bush, former BBU bantamweight champion Una Healy, former FCBA flyweight champion Miley Cyrus twice and claimed the BBU bantamweight title off Katie McGrath with her second win over the Irish star.
Her skill set relies predominantly on her footwork and jab to work, a great technical fighter, she loves to pick apart fighters as she works at range, speed is her best asset along with a solid engine to go long in bouts if needed without much drop off of performance.
Her weakness has been proven to be her inside game, she has improved it but still if you pressure her she hasn't the raw strength to push back opponent's, she can get flushed as well when faced with an opponent who won't give her room.
Now to the blue corner for our current BBU bantamweight champion Sophia Thomalla, the German singer has really shown her class in her short three year career, it is helped by the fact she did kick boxing as a junior, having fights in that sport, she has adapted to boxing excellently as an adult.
She defeated Charlotte Church earlier this year to claim her title, defending it three so far with wins over the then undefeated Maisie Smith, Vicky Pattison and Vera Brezhneva, she has also a win herself over Una Healy, knocking the future Hall of Famer out in just four rounds.
She is similar to Daisy in terms of liking to box her way into fights, she arguably though is slower but has a solid dig to her punches, she is a ring general in the sense she loves to lead the dance in the ring, for the most part not looking worried when faced with pressure.
The only glaring weakness so far that has been shown is if you can keep her near ropes or a corner, Maisie Smith has arguably come the closest to beating her with relentless pressure and body work.
