Part 1: Mallory Jansen vs Karolina Kurkova This was an interesting fight from the build up to the actual bout, starting with Mallory Jansen, who returned to the ring after a two year hiatus, after losing her ACB lightweight title, she seemed to lose confidence so a long break seemed to do the job as she looked in great spirits returning to fight in her home city of Melbourne.
Her opponent Karolina Kurkova meanwhile recently defeated Pia Miller, the Czech model wanted a crack at Mallory, who watched that fight at ringside, Karolina made sure to show she wasn't worried to be in her opponent's home turf, in fact she looked to enjoy the atmosphere as she smiled all the way to the ring.
When the bell rung both women came out their corners with determined looks, Karolina got off the mark the quicker, knocking back the rusty Mallory to her heels with well placed shots, the Aussies counter punching style wasn't getting the job done as she was simply being pressured too much.
So Mallory switched to being more aggressive in the third round, that looked to catch Karolina off guard, with her getting knocked onto her back foot, in the fourth scoring a knockdown with a nasty right hook, Karolina looked stumped by what was happening, one round later it was over as an uppercut sent Kurkova sprawling to her back out for the count.
Solid comeback for Mallory, Karolina is a former title contender and top fighter, she looked rusty to start off but once she put her punches together it looked like someone learning to ride a bike again, almost second nature, she called out the likes of Krystal Forscutt and other European models, so the comeback is well and truly on.

Part 2: Rhian Sugden vs Molly-Mae Hague For over two months this fight has been brewing, while there are certain things you can probably fault Rhian of in her past, one thing you can't say is she doesn't know how to get people talking, plenty of women want to beat her up after her trash talking exploits.
One being Molly-Mae Hague, who since moving down from lightweight to a more natural bantamweight now has a win to her name, next on her hit list was to try JMD rules boxing, with Rhian as her first taste, both women laid down their opinions before the fight without a hint of worry about what might come their way when the bell rung.
When it did ring both girls flew out their corners, Rhian starting well but was caught by a right across her face, Molly-Mae started to press her around the outside of the ring, with the veteran looking more surprised then outright hurt, the second round followed a similar pattern till a clash of heads, Rhian recovered first to finish the round strong.
After that point Molly-Maes's success started to dwindle as Rhian laid in the heavy leather on the inside, uppercuts keep finding a home through the younger fighters jugs, till in the fourth she went down to a flush right to the solar plexus, then a still winded Hague in the fifth suffered from a brutal right that set her down on her knees for the count, Rhian getting another win against a rival.
Rhian isn't getting younger though she is arguably in her prime in terms of her performances, she has rivals coming out the woodwork wanting a crack at her like Sophia Peschisolido, it will be interesting to see how Rhian does against some of the better prospects, Molly-Mae at one win in four bouts now isn't going to be world champion any day soon.

Part 3: Lily-Rose Depp vs Roxanne Pallett Another intriguing match up this week, the winless Lily-Rose Depp has looked in plenty of places for a win but she doesn't seem able to buy one, going into this fight with five defeats in her five fights, arguably she has been improving in her fights so there was some hope.
Roxanne meanwhile is controversial as ever, she wasn't sweating Lily-Rose at all, Roxanne's own career has been a weird mix of highs and lows, never held a title in her hands, yet in the BBU and FCBA she has been a top contender, now though arguably she is a gatekeeper that dreams of returning to that elite status.
As has been the pattern in Lily-Rose matches, she sprung out the gates like a cheetah, bashing Roxanne through her mitts in the opening round with clean shots, out working the veteran and even forcing the actress around the outside of the ring to make Roxanne's coach Gail Kim look furious.
What wasn't on the script of a usual Depp performance was the knockdown she scored in the second round, arguably as much Roxanne's own fault for walking into a shot on her temple, she got up from her backside at the count of six looking annoyed, Lily-Rose trying to get that win charged in with not much success.
Sadly for Lily-Rose fans her old issues reared their head, her lack of power allowed Pallett to get back into the fight, smacking her back on the inside as she landed uppercuts, opening a cut under Depp's left eye as the model looked scared of what was coming, right she was as a right hook sent her crashing down, Lily-Rose couldn't beat the count as she lay looking out of it.
That lack of power is what causes her so much trouble, while she scored the knockdown, she couldn't finish the job when it mattered, her speed certainly isn't in question as she showed once again here, if she can't learn to finish fights then she won't be winning a fight anytime soon.
While Roxanne showed her own issues, her concentration waned which led to her walking into trouble, she will not be able to do that if she gets her wish of a fight with Sylvie Meis, who has the skills to knockout Roxanne where Lily-Rose let her off the hook, if both bring their best that will be a great back and forth battle.

Final Part: Looking ahead to the next six months The first six months of the BBU has been amazing, with new champions and faces, with old rivalries getting more chapters, fight of the year contenders, we will make predictions on what we believe will happen over the next six months, see how many come true.
Let's start with the flyweight division and the rise of Bianca Atzei, at this rate of growth we should be seeing a fight between her and the flyweight champion Holly Hagan before long, Holly has found her groove, both have proven to be tough to beat so it would be harder to work out who would win that clash, I am sure both will enjoy finding out who is better when that time comes.
Talking of champions, we believe that Sophia Thomalla can go the rest of the year as the champion and undefeated, her mix of power, speed and her impressive technique makes her a fearsome foe, there are of course several fighters who could beat her but with her confidence right now, it will take that challenger turning up on their A game to win the title off her.
Looking at the next generation coming through, Sophia Peschisolido and Maisie Smith look the best placed to finish the year strong, Maisie has already had a shot at the title and Sophia is too early in her career for one at the JMD title, both are showing their growth with each fight.
In terms of stables I believe the Sirens stable might prove the upturn in their fortunes with Hailey Clauson winning the JMDD title might be a sign of more to come from their group, Diana Korkunova is always in the title mix, Ela Kawalec looks a future champion if she can stay on her path, Hailey herself could easily find herself in the welterweight title mix with Karen Gillan in future.
Same goes with the Italian Boxing Better stable, with Bianca as we mentioned before, Valentina Fradegrada possibly about to win the lightweight title, the stable could become the dominant force in the BBU, they have certainly grown quite a bit in nearly two years of existence.
That's all we have time for folks, we would be happy to hear other peoples prediction's of course, thank you to everyone who has taken the time to read these posts, we will be back next Sunday morning for the next edition of the Real View.
