Final Part: An interview with Josephine SkriverTom: so our final part of the show, we are lucky that the new BBU welterweight champion has been able to spare us a few minutes to talk, so we are honoured to have Josephine Skriver join us over video call.
(Josephine comes on screen as she sits on a white sofa, wearing a black vest and blue denim jeans, the BBU welterweight title belt sits proudly across her legs as she waves to the camera)Josephine: hey guys, it is wonderful to be able to speak to you all, I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend.
Tom: thank you Josephine for being here, first we do this with all our guests when we can, we have a picture of you after one of your training sessions to show fans how much you clearly love this sport.

Josephine: yeah that was one of my better looking days haha, usually I have no make up and I am ready to collapse on the floor, but this was before I was under the mentorship of Rebecca Romijn in my stables gym.
Tom: that's an interesting place to start, many would say you were a fighter with potential, you had some big wins but struggled against the elite, how much do you credit Rebecca with changing you as a fighter and maybe a person?
Josephine: oh jeez, honestly I can't praise her enough, of course she had an amazing career in the ring herself, don't win four world titles especially in an era with the likes of Charlize Theron in if you can't box or tough it out, first day she stepped into the gym she took turns sparring each of us in my welterweight group, while it was a lot of fun seeing her and Joan (Smalls) go at it, she made it clear after we were done it was clear she wanted to scout us first hand, not just watch us from afar, I had never had that before.
After that she has gotten each of us in the best shape of our lives, well me anyway, she has taught me little tricks, like when to hold, when to use my forearms to create space, little things I wasn't using at the right time in fights, I am truly a better version of myself thanks to her.
Tom: you certainly looked phenomenal when you fought Karen Gillan for the title, third time lucky as they say, scoring your first win over her.
Josephine: I know it isn't the vogue thing to say as I should call her a bytch right haha, but I do respect and like her a lot, she is a great fighter, it's hard to dislike her, even after the second loss I had to her, she was gracious enough to talk to me back at the hotel, trust me if you go to events where the fighters are in a bubble of a hotel, you guys don't see the arguments or looks of hatred opponent's on a card have after a fight, me and Karen used to be the ray of sunshine in a hotel bar.
Still that fight we were both a little standoffish in the build up, coming to Cardiff to fight in the BBU Arena is always daunting when you put the amazing fans in it and the history it has, when that belt rung all the feelings of friendship went out the window, it was that kill or be killed mentality that Rebecca drummed into me before the bout, Karen of course was utterly amazing as always, she had me a few times but I dug in and finally found a knockout punch.
After that bout she was still the same sweet person, I honestly stupidly thought that she might take the defeat so hard she would hate me, she was one of the first to congratulate me when she was OK, even offered to buy me a drink but well my stomach after her fists had used them as drums wasn't interested in that haha.
Tom: I am glad you two are still friends, though I suspect you are not finished in the ring with each other?
Josephine: for now Karen is busy breaking hearts in the FCBA, I am going to hopefully be defending this beautiful title for a long while, I think it's clear though that we have magic when we meet, while our rivalry outside the ring might be dull for some people, inside it we haven't had a snoozefest yet, when that bell goes it is simply all business, I owe her a chance at beating me again anyway.
Tom: what is the plans for the champion? Can you state who you will be fighting on this months pay per view?
Josephine: I have packed my best bikini, the contract is signed for my first defence, so this month I will be defending my title in a bit of a grudge fight, one that should certainly get people talking, the ACB welterweight champion Jesinta Campbell gets to try to become a dual champion, while I'd love her belt around my waist, this time it's just for my belt.
Tom: wow! You beat Jesinta last year to give her the one defeat on her impressive record, how confident are you it will be two in a row over her?
Josephine: well me and her aren't friends by any stretch, she made her mouth go over a year ago and I knocked her out in five rounds to shut her up, since she defended her belt over a week ago, she has been saying on her social media she wanted the match, I send her a DM saying she better sign the contract then, here we are, about to fight for a second time.
So I say this directly to Jesinta, leave your big mouth in Australia, when we get in the ring I want the best version of you because when I beat your ass again, there won't be any excuses, claiming you took me lightly and if you took the fight serious you'd beat me, fact is I beat you and history will repeat itself.
Tom: stern words there, sadly that's all we have time for folks, thank you so much to you Josephine for taking this time for us and giving us that blockbuster announcement.
Josephine: no worries, call me if you need to get my thoughts on anything. (Winking at the camera)
That's all this week folks, thank you so much to everyone who took the time to read these posts, we hope you enjoyed them, also thank you to IBB and Vassago for their bouts this week, we'll be back next Sunday morning with the next edition of the Real View.
