Michelle Joy Phelps:Hey guys, Tom is off sick and since Molly has had her chance at the desk the last time our fearless leader was away, it's my turn in the hot seat. So what a busy week in the BBU, fights taking place in Paris, Newcastle and Sunderland, not a wide range admittedly of places with two being the north east of England. We start with well last nights bout from Sunderland with hometown girl Charlotte Crosby taking on Brooke Vincent in a reported build up to a bigger fight, could she overcome this test first. Then we head to Newcastle with the main event of the latest Girls Friday card, no home town fighters here, just two girls looking to march on to better things as Maria Ozawa fought Kara Tointon. Third on this weeks agenda is a fight between Olympia Valance and Roxanne McKee also fought on that card, who won and what does the future hold. Finally we head to Paris, Berenice Marlohe stepped back into the ring to fight Carla Ossa, could the old head beat the young rookie? Hopefully you guys enjoy this weeks show, Tom will hopefully be back next week, unless me and Molly McGrath decide to stage a mutiny

Part 1: Brooke Vincent vs Charlotte Crosby So I have never had to walk into a lions cage and hopefully I never do, but Brooke must have felt like she had as she stepped into the stadium of light against one of their own in Charlotte.
Just a quick note, I heard Kate Abdo also a Manchester girl like Brooke call Charlotte a Geordie, but Tom told me she's a Mackem, hmm my head hurts.
Coming into the fight, Brooke also had to content with just winning 1 fight in 9 attempts before this fight, while Charlotte has 1 win and one draw to her name.
Surprisingly Brooke started off strongly, pushing Charlotte back around the ring with hard shots and moving around when needed to make her opponent miss.
Rumours spread at ringside that Charlotte had not trained properly for this fight, maybe a false rumour to explain the early mess, but it didn't exactly matter as Brooke beat her to the punch over the first 4 rounds.
Brooke though showed partly why she has lost so many fights, her concentration disappeared and as the fight started to get dirty between both fighters, Charlotte started to take the lead.
By Round 6, Charlotte was on top as Brooke kept getting caught and the brunette Vincent found herself on the canvas after taking a hard two punch combo to wipe her out.
The real action kicked off after the bell for some people, Charlotte was insulting Brooke and looked ready to humiliate her, but out of nowhere, Katie Price saved her fighter as she flew into the ring off the top rope.
She looked a little like Supergirl; if you need glasses and didn't know what Supergirl looks like then she would be the perfect person for the role, barring Melissa Benoist who plays her on TV.
Anyway, Katie hauled Charlotte off her fighter after a hell of a catfight between the two women, one that we will hopefully see either sorted in he ring or an apartment, there choice.
Brooke was led out the ring by her corner crew as bottles, coins, I expected a sink being thrown in the ring to show the disgust the crowd had at their hero being robbed of humiliating her opponent.
All I can say is what I've said before, Brooke needs to do something new! At 24 she has the world in front of her, yet she is not reaching anywhere near what she can.
I stand by my she should leave Katie Price behind, I mean what have you taught her Katie? Last time I suggested it, I got her complaining to me but nothing has changed!
If Katie has a problem with me, then I'll throw my hat into the ring with you then, in the ring, your apartment, anywhere you want to fight, I'll fight you, because I hate seeing a young girl waste herself following you!
Sorry but had to get that off my chest, I'm not afraid to prove my point anyway I have to and if that means fighting then so be it.
OK I have a job to do *takes a deep breath and exhales* so Charlotte is rumoured to be finally fighting Vicky Pattison, I can't wait for that rematch, finally let's see who is the better woman, I hope they tear each other apart.

Part 2:Maria Ozawa vs Kara Tointon Two flyweights on a mission to get their names back into the title hunt after a not so great 2016 saw them lose more then they won.
The fight took place in Newcastle, Maria went into the fight with 6 wins (6kos) and 2 losses to Kara's 10 wins (9kos) 16 losses and 1 draw in her career.
The early action was evenly paced, one girl taking a lead, then the other bit back to try and force each other around the ring.
Of the two fighters, Kara actually looked the better over the middle rounds of the round, landing the cleaner punches and keeping the fight where she wanted it for longer periods then her opponent could.
But that all changed by round 4, Maria finally got into top gear, hurting Kara on the inside, banging her back around the ring with Tointon not having much success of getting separation to the crowds delight but not her own.
Maybe she should leave her sister in the back as the turning point for me was watching Hannah try to give her view, with her big sister shooting her advice down.
Whether that advice would be actually use is irrelevant, Maria Ozawa was on the warpath by the fifth and treated Kara to a combo that ended her night.
Well her night at that point, Maria wanting to prove her point tried to smother Kara into a nap with her jugs, doing what long term Kara enemy Gemma Merna has long wanted to do.
But Hannah showed why she was out there by hauling Maria off her, where Hannah proved useless again was the way she was pressed back by Maria, who'd been 5 rounds remember!
After the fight, talk has swung to where both girls go as you imagine, Maria could finally go for the top spot in Japanese Celebrity boxing by fighting Mikia Hara or take another veteran down like Kara to try and get a flyweight title shot.
For Kara, the only real money fight I could see her possible winning is against Gemma Merna, the one that would be interesting to see in my eyes is Cher Lloyd taking her on, she has a good record and can box.
Whatever happens, the flyweight division took another small turn and it will be interesting to be a fly on the wall of the Lookout Atlantic gym seeing all these threats emerge for the champ Jenna Louise Coleman to fight in the next year or two at most.

Part 3: Olympia Valance vs Roxanne McKee Australia met London for this bout between two former soap stars who are looking to crack bigger roles on the small and big screen.
I have to say both girls impressive when you meet them, stunning, fit and quite funny, I'm super jealous of these two.
So seeing them knock each other around the ring was fun, Olympia trying to keep her unbeaten run alive, she didn't start off that well with Roxanne boxing smartly.
Keeping Olympia off balance by moving in and out of her range, sneaking jabs through the guard to disrupt her momentum.
Roxanne couldn't keep the pressure up forever, Olympia forcing her to trade which was to her advantage judging by the face of McKee.
By round 4, Olympia had her chance and took it with a hell of a drive up the center, knocking Roxanne for a loop and putting her down for the count.
Both girls who'd shown respect in the build up to the fight showed it wasn't just for the cameras as Olympia helped Roxanne up, who in turn told her Aussie conquerer how good she was and applauding her.
Onto the future for both girls, well Olympia looks like she could be fighting Kimberley Walsh, judging by the veterans comments after the fight.
That could be a great bout if both girls turn up, which I'm guessing the will judging by their animosity towards each other.
For Roxanne, she has Game of Thrones to help her outside the ring, inside? I don't see her ever moving up the rankings even with her skills still there for all to see.
It just seems she's missing a beat by a few seconds if you will, her main weapon her speed has slowed down to the point she's getting caught where she didn't when she was younger, a change in opponent maybe the only course for her, but we shall see where both go from this point onward.

Final Part: Berenice Marlohe vs Carla Ossa By far the most stunning bout this week for views and possibly the two fighters depending on your viewpoint.
Carla is seen as one of the future in the BBU lightweight division, she's got good range, speed and power if her debut against Erin McNaught proved.
Berenice while not a massive winner in her boxing career, has experience and was fighting on home soil, so this wasn't an easy fight by any stretch for the Colombian supermodel to enter.
The first round looked ominous for Carla surprisingly, she was stuck on the defensive as Berenice worked the jab.
Instead it was just a tease for the French fans, in the second round Carla stamped her authority on the fight by working the body of the older girl.
She showed great patience in this fight, wearing Berenice down and by round five, she struck like a viper, tearing the head off of Berenice with one hell of an uncorked right hook.
Berenice went down for the count and Carla smartly didn't take advantage after the final bell of her beaten opponent, guess she didn't want food or drink thrown at her.
This fight showed that Carla is the real deal and with so many of them appearing in the lightweight division, is that division starting to look impressive.
Rumours are she wants Jennifer Lamiraqui or Federica Nargi next, I don't see her struggling against those girls.
Berenice will continue to find work on France, she seems to have her base set up, now she just needs girls to com me and find her, which by the looks of it they are judging by the amount of fights she had last year and already this year.
My advice to our viewers though is to keep watch keenly on this division, supermodels, singers and actresses seem to be lining up to join our ranks and Malika Menard better have one eye on her title is all I'll say.
