BBU Lightweight Title
Ch Holly Peers vs Alice Goodwin
(This Is Glamour vs BBU Independent)
(11-5, 10 KO vs 11-4, 11 KO)
Results: BBU; Story: Vassago
BEFORE: Mancunian stunner Holly Peers has decided to offer a voluntary title defense to fellow glamour model Alice Goodwin who still owns a supreme BBU record despite doing most of her work in FCBA in the last couple of years. She took down the highly touted Lorena Rae earlier this season which suggests this fight might be a little more tricky for Peers than most fans realize. However that's the main goal of these championship battles after all.
Holly Peers wears a red bikini set & white gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a half-up ponytail. Alice Goodwin wears a black bikini set & silver gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a curled ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the lightweight division.
Round 1:
Alice carries heavy power during the initial exchange and rips several crisp hooks into the champion's face but Holly refuses to back off upon impact and tries to overcome the challenger's effort which leads into a back & forth tussle in the center of the ring. Alice still has the last laugh when she nails Holly on the nose and wobbles her sideways before driving a left harpoon on the stomach to force Peers out of the close range. She hassles the champion back to the ropes swinging with authority but she doesn't actually secure a meaningful connection until Holly runs out of real estate and backs herself into the corner where she has to accept the slugging dispute. She lands a couple of big shots in Goodwin's face but eats a similar dose of leather and comes off second best in the process.
Round 2:
More quick swings from the older brunette who glues her mitts into Holly's face and it's a rare sight to see the champion getting outworked with room to spare like that. The back & forth tangle continues and leaves a couple of early lumps on the Mancunian's cheeks but she drives a good series on the rack to catch Goodwin off guard before powering into a head-hunting pursuit in the second minute. Execution still remains a problem though and both models fire blanks despite plenty of effort. Holly drops to punish the rack again where she finds success however Alice is a JMDD veteran after all and she bumps the champion onto thr turnbuckle rolling back some welterweight pride from years gone by. She smashes an uppercut combo on the boobs and rips a left hook on the jaw to perhaps steal the round on points right at the bell.
Rounds 3 & 4:
More hits & bumps in the next two rounds with honors being shared until Holly drives a hard double into Alice's navel late in the third that wobbles the challengers off her stance and allows the champ to clean up along the ropes for good value. She bellows Alice behind a tight earmuff and works on her midsection instead - a path that continues into the fourth with even better results. Goodwin fails to embrace the heat and keeps missing badly over the top while being stubborn enough to seek a one-punch finish. Holly avoids the haymaker drama and pummels the older brunette's midriff into a mush backing her into the corner where she keeps riding the slugfest hand to slump the Stoke native into loud spasms come the final minute. True hammer time now and Peers drags the challenger through a ringer belting her into an aching state that is only rescued by the bell at the last moment.
Round 5:
Alice is visibly shaken up by that last rodeo and gives up more body blows to slowly descend into punchbag mode while Holly sets up an uppercut charge that tags the exposed chin and sends the fellow glamour model into her last rites. She tries to find that one headshot to turn things around but to no avail as Peers SMOKES her with a vintage chin-checker just past the one-minute mark. Woof. DOWN GOES ALICE!!! It's all gone downhill for the challenger who gets laid out in spread eagle fashion and only rolls onto her side during the otherwise slowish count. She gets up onto all fours at seven but it's too late for eleventh hour heroics and she gets duly counted out moments later!!! KO5 and STILL the BBU lightweight champion Holly Peers!!!
AFTER: Holly completes the perfect 5-0 season and earns a standing ovation from the Cardiff audience! TIG manager Melinda Messenger is the first person to enter the ring and she carries the buxom Mancunian around the area sending more warning shots to the entire division: "We're not done with laying down the law! Who says we can't clean up all the results for two years running? Brooks Nader was like everyone's Next Best Thing and we destroyed her last time around so we fear nobody! Any takers for the next title defense? Poor Rochelle Humes came out of semi-retirement and lost so it's getting desperate out there! Between Bethany Lily April and Holly we've got the best one-two punch above 125 lbs! Suck it up, haters!" (laughs).
Official Result: Ch Holly Peers def. Alice Goodwin KO5.
