Now it's time for the BBU flyweight title bout. Former champion Cheryl Cole looks to reclaim the top of the mountain for herself. While Jorgie Porter recently had a birthday on Christmas Day. She will hope to give herself a late present by adding Cheryl Cole to her list of fighters she has beaten in a decade of boxing action.
The fighters have been around the boxing ring for a similar time but have shockingly never fought before. Cheryl to most pundits is the favourite due to her career being so successful for so long. Jorgie though will be mighty confident after dethroning Holly Hagan two months ago. She is undefeated this year in three bouts.
A press conference was held the day before the fight. The media was assembled in front of the stage. With Cheryl stepping onto the left side wearing a white dress with black heels. Across from her comes Jorgie wearing the title around her waist. While she wears an emerald green dress with matching heels.
Both women go nose to nose for the photographer's to catch. Cold stares being exchanged. Before they step back to raise their fists. Cheryl can't help herself as she tells her rival "next time we do this you are going on your arse pet." Making Jorgie chuckle at her, Cheryl scowling at that as she sees it as a slight.
They step apart as they go to their separate tables. Cheryl has her coach Melanie Brown to her left. while Jorgie has her coach on her right in case things get heated. The BBU flyweight title belt is placed on the table in front of Jorgie to show the world the grand prize at stake.
Cheryl is up to speak first, telling the media "it feels too long since I was in a title fight. I have been the undisputed leader of this division since day one. Yet I don't feel the respect I deserve. Especially when someone like Jorgie here gets the shot before me." Making Jorgie shake her head as she shrugs her shoulders in disbelief at the dig aimed her way.
Cheryl continues "come fight night though Jorgie I will take the responsibility off your shoulders and show why you have always been one of the jokes of this place. I will save this division from your inadequacy." Certainly not pulling any punches with her comments.
Jorgie replies "just wow.. I mean I always knew you were an egotistical w***e, but even that speech surprised me." Cheryl open mouthed and red cheeked. Fists clenched as Melanie tells her to keep her cool as she looks ready to charge across at the champion.
"See Cheryl you speak about waiting. Try a decade of waiting honey. I have bleed, gave pints of sweat and battled my cute behind off to earn this belt. I wasn't handed chance after chance because I am not some drama queen who got on the front page of papers through being a c**t. If you have been the face of this division for over a decade then so f**king help us."
Cheryl has heard enough as she stands up. Melanie standing up in front of her telling her to cool off. While Cheryl screams "you f**king blonde bimbo! I'll fookin do ya" as she loses her head. Luckily for her Jorgie is just laughing at her. While also Melanie herds her off the stage to calm down. Not looking too happy that her fighter lost her head.
"That is why I am already a better champion that then" Jorgie tells the press. Lifting the title belt up with her right hand to show everyone who the champion is. So she isn't deemed in the shadow of Cole. Beating her will be a bigger statement, can she do that?
Well it's time to find out as it is fight night. First through the curtain comes the challenger. Cheryl taps her black gloves together as she leads Melanie to the ring. A stern look on her face as she looks in the mood to make a statement of her own. Climbing through the ropes into the ring. Cheryl is wearing a black lace bra and knickers. Black tights and her hair is in a ponytail. She paces in her corner with an annoyed expression as she waits for Jorgie.
The champion doesn't make her wait too long as Jorgie steps through the curtain with coach in tow. Jorgie has on a white silk robe as she is all smiles. Her fans chanting her name as she stands ringside. Helped by her coach to remove the robe. Jorgie is revealed to be wearing a white lace bra with matching knickers. White tights with a garter belt. White gloves and her hair is in a ponytail too. She steps into the ring with the title belt handed by her coach over to the referee. While Jorgie has her eyes firmly on her opponent.
The referee waves the fighters to them. Showing the title belt to both fighters, who certainly don't need reminding what is at stake. The scowls on both fighters faces show how personal this has gotten. leading to no touch of gloves when prompted. Instead walking back to their corners as duelling chants echo in the BBU Arena. The bell rings to start 10 rounds of BBU flyweight title bout action.
Round 1:
"Ding!" On their toes trading jabs in the opening seconds. If Jorgie expected that they would get a feel for each other, well Cheryl isn't in the mood as she steps in with a left/right hook combo that Jorgie blocks. A straight then follows to knock back the head of the blonde.
Jorgie boxing on the back foot as Cheryl looks to live by her nickname "Geordie Power" as she steps after Jorgie with straight punches. Exchanging stiff jabs but it's Cheryl landing several crisp punches around the guard of her foe. Jorgie finding herself herded around the outside part of the ring.
Final minute sees Cheryl pressing on the inside to work the body of Jorgie. Bullying her back onto the ropes, Jorgie baring her teeth as she pushes back Cheryl. Landing a jab/right hook back at the North East lass to knock her back a step. Porter showing her champions mentality to come back at Cole. Forcing Cheryl to cover up in the final moments of the round. Bell ringing with Cole off to a flying start, Jorgie tapping her own cheeks as if to wake herself up.
Round 2:
Back out they step with eyes firmly locked. Trading stiff single punches as Cheryl is looking to step in. Jorgie feints with a jab before ducking under a left hook. Slamming in a left/right hook into the ribs of her challenger. Trading punches in tight as Jorgie shows Cheryl she is happy to slug it out with her.
Maybe Cheryl is still miffed as she swings in a right hook that had some steam behind it. Missing and taking a counter left across her face. An uppercut follows to knock Cheryl back onto her heels. Jorgie piling the pressure on Cole to press her back into a neutral corner. Where she pounds away to the body of her opponent.
Pulling Jorgie into a tight clinch. Cheryl hisses as she is pinned by Jorgie's body against the turnbuckles. Referee pulls them apart as Cheryl yells "fat f**k!" Before they resume. Exchanging toe to toe as the crowd roars on the petite dynamos. The bell rings with both just about holding back. A shoulder bump from the fighters as they walk past each other to go to their corners. Plenty of emotions on show here.
Round 3:
Exchanging more punches in bunches as they stare at each other from behind their mitts. Jorgie starting off well as she dips down more to move in with punches around the chest and abs. Cheryl clipping her around the top of her head in reply.
A straight catches the crouched down Jorgie on her forehead. A left hook then cracks her around her temple. Making the champ back off holding her gloves up tighter. Cheryl pushing back Jorgie to the ropes. Thudding away at the body of Jorgie as she has her covering up.
Pushing Cheryl back so she can get off the ropes. Jorgie is starting to find herself being roughed up as Cheryl is starting to use forearms to push back the champ. Jorgie trying to match her intensity but getting caught with a few solid hooks around her cheeks to start reddening them up. The round ends with the Glamour corner not too pleased by Coles roughhousing tactics. Referee gives Cheryl a warning but the singer doesn't seem to care.
Round 4:
Pushing off their corners to engage. Jorgie wanting to get right into Cheryl's face. Maybe falling into fighting Cheryl on her terms. Both nearly clashing heads, baring their mouthpieces as they bark out in effort. A short right hook turns Jorgie's head as a jab follows to knock her back a step.
Back to the outside part of the ring goes the champ. Jorgie stabbing in single punches to try to keep Cheryl at range. But a left cross sends Jorgie back to the ropes. AN UPPERCUT CATCHES JORGIE ON HER CHIN TO SEND HER DOWN TO HER KNEES!
Cheryl raises her arms into the air as she walks to the neutral corner. 1...2...3.. Jorgie shakes her head, looking to clear it. 4...5.. is this going to be a short reign? 6...7...8... Jorgie proves her toughness by pushing to her feet. Raising her fists up to show she wants to fight on.
The referee waves them to fight on with just under half the round to go. Jorgie boxing defensively as Cheryl comes after her. Throwing some hooks around the guard of Jorgie to smack her around her cheeks. Jorgie landing a stiff jab/straight back into the face of Cheryl to push her back a step.
Less then thirty seconds to go. Jorgie needs to hold onto Cheryl as she is driven back onto the ropes after getting her nose busted up by a stiff straight. They both land rabbit punches to backs of heads before they can be pulled apart. The round ending with Cheryl staring hard at Jorgie as she watches the blonde walk to her corner to be patched up. Cheryl tapping her toes as she sits on her stool.
Round 5:
Out come the fighters with Cheryl looking to press Jorgie right away. Getting caught with straight punches into her face. Cheryl lands a rifle like right into the nose of Jorgie to make the claret flow again. Pressing Porter back into the ropes to pound her body.
Pushing off Cheryl. Jorgie catches out the challenger by dipping under a straight to hammer in a short right to the body, followed by a left hook over the top to turn Cheryl's head. The raven haired Geordie finding herself forced backwards. With her right eye looking a little puffy after a left hook lands around it.
Holding onto Jorgie. Cheryl needing to slow down the champ. They are split up with both scowling. Exchanging as they plant their feet. Blood and sweat flies off the fighters. They end up clinched again as they try to overpower their rival. At the bell they are broken up by the referee. A little shove between the fighters as they intensely stare at each other before going back to their corners to be cleaned up.
Round 6:
Cheryl lands a crisp double jab into the nose of Jorgie early on. Bringing a few tears to the eyes of the champion as Jorgie steps back. Cheryl pushing at Jorgie to get her against the ropes. Chopping away at the body of Jorgie with hooks. Trying to open her guard up but getting clinched up.
When they resume Jorgie is finding herself being bullied back by Cheryl. Jorgie backed into a neutral corner as Cheryl swings in hooks before being held by the blonde. Cheryl looks to have the bit between her teeth. Wanting to really batter down the champion. Referee breaking them apart with both women locking eyes as Cheryl wants to push around the referee to get at her rival.
Less then a minute to go. Jorgie slips a straight to land a harpoon like right into the abs of Cheryl to make her groan out. A left hook lands on that swollen eye of Cole to make her wince as she steps backwards. A PINPOINT LEFT HOOK FOLLOWED BY AN UPPERCUT LANDS FLUSH ON THE CHIN OF CHERYL TO ROCK HER BACK INTO A CORNER! A RIGHT HOOK AROUND HER TEMPLE SENDS CHERYL DOWN TO ALL FOURS!
Jorgie walking to the neutral corner with several people shocked in the front row seeing Cheryl down after being on top for most of this round. 1...2...3.. Cheryl grabs the ropes with her right glove. 4...5.. looking to drag herself up to her feet. 6...7... But her legs give way as she is shook up. 8.. Landing on her back with a groan. 9...10 that's it! Cheryl is counted out with eight seconds to go in the round!

Raising her arms as she does a slow lap around the ring. She bares the marks of battle as dried blood is on her boobs. Nose looking sore with red marks on her cheeks. Jorgie though has the important win. Defence number one checked off and a massive win against a future BBU hall of famer in Cheryl.
The winner gets a pat on her back by her coach. Looking at Cheryl with not a bit of pity for her. Sitting on her stool as her coach wipes her down and plugs up her nose. Jorgie still smiling even if she grimaces when being patched up. Proud of herself as her coach tells her how great she did to come back from being put down.
Cheryl on the other side of things gets helped to sit up and checked over. She holds her jaw as her right eye is worked on by Melanie. A look of disbelief on Cheryl's face when it sinks in what has happened. Asking how the hell she lost this when she was on top. Melanie not answering as she just focuses on fixing her up.
Both women have their gloves taken off. Cheryl standing up with help as her legs are still like jelly. Jorgie stands off her stool and blows Cheryl a mocking kiss. Cheryl looks like she wants to charge her but she hasn't the strength. Melanie instead helps her out the ring. With the coach looking like she is biting her tongue for the time being on what happened tonight. That locker room will be interesting to see now.
The victor heads to the center of the ring. Getting the spotlight to herself as Jorgie gets her title wrapped around her waist. Right arm raised in victory as Jorgie flexes her left arm with her famous cheeky grin. Getting her name chanted by the crowd as she is always a popular figure.
Stepping out the ring with her coach. Jorgie nods to the fans at ringside. Tapping the title around her waist as Jorgie has fulfilled her goals now. What is next for her and the title in 2023?
