Rookie of the Year:As always we have had another raft of new great prospects come into the BBU, for example just over the past month we have seen Ivana Knott come in the ring and look impressive. With plenty of other top young stars like Leni Klum too making their start in the ring and already signed to a stable. But to be frank there is really only one woman who deserves this award. Having more fights and moving right up the rankings in her division as fast as some of the great fighters that have come through the BBU in recent years. We are proud to announce the winner of this years award is Bianca Atzei! Debuting back on the 31st January, Bianca defeated Amelia Lily Oliver in five rounds. She looked impressive right from the opening bell of her career, taking the fight to Amelia to put her lights out. Showing an aggression and skills to show she is going to be a fearsome fighter. Already amassing an impressive 10-3 record. The Italian beauty has defeated the likes of hall of famer Samia Ghadie, top ranked stars Inna and Michelle Keegan. Only the likes of Marnie Simpson could seem to stop her for a moment, before she got back on the front foot again. She nearly won the flyweight title against Holly Hagan on the 29th September. After a hard fought battle she was knocked out. But she showed she could compete at that level, surely showing she is a future champion in waiting. This year will be interesting to follow, can Bianca really keep this pace going? Can she overcome a champion to earn a title herself? It will be exciting to see how she does and what drama lays ahead. Winner: Bianca Atzei

Flyweight of the Year:The flyweight division is seen by many as the flagship division of the BBU. So to be the number one in the division takes some skill and determination. This might be the award that causes the biggest debate of the night. With plenty of potential winners, as we had new faces storming the rankings, two champions over the year and ACB talent excelling in the BBU and FCBA. So without further ado we are proud to announce that the winner is the BBU flyweight champion Jorgie Porter! Now there were other contenders as mentioned, Bianca Atzei for example stormed the BBU with a hell of a record for a first year fighter. We also saw Holly Hagan looking unstoppable as she came into the year with the belt. Having some great defences. So why Jorgie then? Well for starters she went undefeated in the ring at four wins without loss this year. Starting the year somewhat expectedly by battering Lily-Rose Depp. Getting her ready for the big challenges ahead. Those started with a number one contenders bout as she fought rival and former stablemate Roxanne Pallett. In an ill tempered affair Jorgie kept her head. Wearing out Roxanne till she knocked her out in the seventh round to earn her first shot at a BBU flyweight title since an unsuccessful shot in 2012. In that title fight she fought Holly Hagan in a classic back and forth clash. While Holly had seemed to sweep opponents aside. Jorgie stuck in with grit. Bashing back at Holly and finding answers to whatever the champion threw at her, till she saw the chance she had wanted in more then a decade of fighting. Knocking out Holly in the eighth round to win the flyweight title. Jorgie finished her year off in empathic style as she battled former champion and future Hall of Famer Cheryl Cole. Again great clash ended with Jorgie getting the massive win to cement herself as the best in the division right now. It will be fun viewing how she handles the pressure as more challengers come at her. Jorgie seems ready for the pressure that comes with the world title. Winner: Jorgie Porter

Bantamweight of the Year:The bantamweight division has seen some amazing fights this year. Though we have to be frank that there seems to be one defining champion of the division. So we are proud to announce this year's winner for a second year in a row is the undefeated BBU bantamweight champion Sophia Thomalla! I mean we have given Sophia a lot of praise on the Real View and in last year's awards show, but Sophia truly has proven to be that great. She is now undefeated in fourteen fights. Defending the title now five times as she looks to try to become the fighter with most wins and most defences. This year saw her start off in a big way in a battle of the undefeated fighters. Maisie Smith had been knocking out people left, right and center with her power. Sophia faced her toughest test arguably with both stepping into the ring with confidence. While it was a back and forth classic. Sophia outboxed Maisie and wore her down till she stopped her in the eighth round. She would follow that up by defeating Vicky Pattison in eight rounds. Adding Vera Brezhneva and Harumi Nemoto to the list through the middle of the year. Looking unstoppable in those fights as she took down the two veterans. She then finished her year off in a similar manner to how it started. Another battle of the undefeated fighters, this time against the Love Island Alumni Maura Higgins. Maura gave her all in a hectic battle before Sophia was able to knock her out in the seventh. Adding another undefeated name to her CV. The big question surrounding Sophia of course now becomes who can actually defeat her? She is cutting a path through fighters on her way towards records. As the famous saying goes "there is always someone more powerful." It's simply a question of who that is. Winner: Sophia Thomalla

Lightweight of the Year:The lightweight division saw new blood emerge at the top of the division like Brooks Nader. Some of the veteran fighters heading towards the last call of their careers. We had one woman though ruling the division. So we are proud to announce the best fighter in the lightweight division for us this year was the BBU lightweight champion Holly Peers! She started the year off by beating Miranda Kerr for the lightweight title. It was seen as an upset at the time but as the year went on, we saw that was far from the case. Holly has really stood up as an elite fighter over these twelve months. To prove that she first defended her title against Yasmin Verheijen. Which saw her dominating chunks of the action. Yasmin seen as the future face of Dutch boxing was given a rude awakening by Holly and her power. Showing that Peers wasn't a fluke champion. After that she has went on to defend the title another three times. Beating Valentina Fradegrada, the then undefeated Brooks Nader and just on Boxing Day she defeated Alice Goodwin. Making her one of the best of the pound for pound in the BBU. 2023 will see Holly need to keep her focus as more fit and tough challengers come her way. Can Holly become the pound for pound number one this year? Maybe even look to add more titles with her eligible for the JMDD title. Holly really could become one of the faces of the BBU. Winner: Holly Peers

Welterweight of the Year:The division of big hitters saw more impressive battles over the past year. With several fights considered fights of the year contenders. You had to be at your best to be in this divisions elite. With two women in BBU JMDD champion Hailey Clauson and BBU Welterweight champion Josephine Skriver being two of the best pound for pound right now. Of course though who was the best in the division? Well I am happy to announce that the winner was the BBU JMDD champion Hailey Clauson! Why does she take it over the welterweight champion? Well let's look over her year in BBU action. Starting with her year off by beating Raffaella Modugno. It was a hotly fought battle between the two big hitters but it was Raffaella tasting the canvas in the fifth round after a brutal right hook put pay to her night. Then came the success that Clauson had battled years to achieve. Fighting Kate Upton once again, this time with the BBU JMDD title on the line. While Hailey had chances prior to win gold and seemed like she would get the bridesmaid tag in the boxing world. In a classic battle of wills nobody would beat Hailey on that performance in May. Stopping Kate in the sixth round to win her first ever title. Hailey would quickly add defences against former BBU Welterweight champion Bo Krsmanovic and former JMDD champion Tamara Ecclestone. Both were mighty impressive performances as the former champions couldn't handle her mixture of physical strength and her new confidence. Arguably her biggest fight on a personal level was defending the BBU JMDD title stateside against the ace of her stables sister brand the Vixen's. Hannah Ferguson looked to add the BBU JMDD title to her impressive CV. Hailey wasn't going to let that happen without a fight. Getting revenge on the tough Texan in what was parts brawl and parts a skillful battle, till Hannah couldn't take anymore and was stopped in the seventh round. If two years ago was Hailey's breakout year as she won the Welterweight of the year award, last year was where she cemented her claim to be the best in the division. This year she has already signed up for the Diamond Boxing Tournament in the FCBA, she will have more JMDD defences to make and of course if both Josephine and Hailey can keep their momentum. No reason to say that a super fight between them couldn't take place. Winner: Hailey Clauson

Fight of the year 23:This was another stellar year of BBU bouts. With major title fights, grudge bouts and super fights taking place through the year. There was a large selection to choose from for the best year of the past twelve months. But there was one bout that you our wonderful BBU fans voted for. Though it only won by one single vote! That bout was the BBU JMDD title fight between Hailey Clauson and the champion Kate Upton! It was a bout that saw both women coming into the ring full of confidence. Along with a little grudge to settle, with Kate defeating Hailey the last time they fought for a title. The tension was clear for all to see, while the crowd was hot to see the busty blondes battle. In the end it came down to pure willpower who came out on top. For those who haven't seen the fight, I won't spoil the result. It was a great bout that will live on. Especially if Hailey and Kate decide to have another go at each other. Winner: May 25th - BBU JMDD title bout: Hailey Clauson Vs Kate UptonLink to the bout: fcbahistory.pbworks.com/w/page/149413737/25%20May%202022%20Title%20Ch%20Kate%20Upton%20vs%20Hailey%20Clauson

Winning by just two votes is arguably the best pound for pound fighter in all the BBU, we are proud to announce that this year's winner is the BBU bantamweight champion Sophia Thomalla! 1st place: Sophia Thomalla:Over the past year Sophia has simply added to her undefeated run. Defending the title against some of the elite in her division. Adding to her two bantamweight of the year awards by now taking home the big prize! Real View Hall of Fame Induction 2023As always we look at the history of the BBU for fighters or figures who made an impact in the BBU. Starting the Hall of Fame with Jessica Schwarz, having the likes of Alesha Dixon, Samia Ghadie and even managers like Kate Garraway entering our Hall of Fame. This year we add someone who has really been a massive figure in BBU history, from its inception to managing in the BBU. This is someone who deserves so much credit for making this organisation I am proud to be a part of and that has given so many fighters a chance to showcase their talents in combat around the world. Please give a round of applause to Victoria Beckham! Now Victoria might be the first to admit her career within the ring wasn't exactly a success, only winning once in ten bouts. So this isn't an award for her ring work. This is about the impact she had on the BBU in its infancy. Including being part of a group of fighters who were sick of having all the action take place seemingly in America with the FCBA. With several financial backers and other fighters. Victoria Beckham became one of the first managers in the BBU. Creating the BBU America stable. Victoria helped so many fighters like Billy Piper and Gemma Atkinson be represented in the FCBA. While also helping create the foundations of the BBU we know and love. Through her hard work we saw the emergence of great fighters like Cheryl Cole, Michelle Keegan, Jenna Louise Coleman, Jessica Schwarz, Samia Ghadie. The list goes on and on of British and European talent that emerged in the early days of the BBU. As stated through her management of one of the first two stables in the BBU. She helped train and give advice to so many young talents so they didn't have to go through what she took as disrespect and being treated with bias by the American run Celebrity female Boxing system. While the BBU and FCBA is friendly, alongside the ACB. All three organisations it has to be said have pushed each other to be greater. If it wasn't for the likes of Victoria. The celebrity female boxing world might have stagnanted with fighters coming through one system, now with fighters coming from different backgrounds and through different methods (whether having amateur fights or being signed straight to a stable), the celebrity fighting world is in a great place. 2023 Hall of Fame Induction: Victoria Beckham
