Lottie Moss vs Emma Rigby
(Lioness Club vs Fight Club UK)
(12-7, 12 KO vs 10-17, 10 KO)
Results: BBU; Story: Vassago
BEFORE: It's been three years since Lottie Moss posted a dismal 1-4 record during the Contender Six tournament but the London-born model claims she's ready to mount another run at the divisional belts currently held by the pound-for-pound behemoth Sophia Thomalla: "Maybe I was a little too naive back in 2020 and I learned my lesson. It's not like my stable has any better options in my division anyway. Jessica (Schwarz) is on the wrong side of forty and Doda spends too much time on social media than in the gym. Make room for ME... again!" (winks).
Lottie's tonight's opponent is a fellow blonde who might have underperformed in BBU over the years but still sells tickets across the UK - Emma Rigby. The Merseyside actress is ready to "shut down the Moss hype" and believes she can totally earn herself a contending shot in the foreseeable future: "Look here, I had a good old slugfest vs Thomalla before and I lasted longer than almost everyone else! Don't tell me these OF models like Lottie are genuine. She's just another trollop who belongs in the gutter! Watch me smash her to pieces tonight!" (laughs).
Lottie Moss wears a pink bikini set & white gloves. Long blonde hair tied in a sleek ponytail. Emma Rigby wears a red bikini set & black gloves. Long blonde hair tied in a half-up ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the bantamweight division.
Round 1:
Emma takes it to the younger blonde and stacks up several clean hits up the middle before looping a hard right on the nose that wobbles the model onto her heels and allows the Mersey girl to land more juice on target. Emma makes a furious start here and takes no prisoners as she drives her mitts into Lottie's face until she traps the younger blonde on the ropes where she keeps the head-hunting pounce going alas it goes slightly chaotic in the process. She can't quite knock the model's head off like she planned and eats a noticeable reply from the Lioness fighter who finally decides to offer some response to avoid the whitewash. However it's too little, too late to steal the around as Rigby lands more punches to the body in the closing stages anyway and barks in delight when she caves Moss behind a tight earmuff at the bell.
Round 2:
More slugging heroics from the Mersey actress who powers ahead with a slugging combo and tears it down between the leaky guard much to the Cardiff fans' delight. It appears the highly aggressive tactics from the older blonde pays off for the time being as she bounces Moss around the area and has to deal with a mediocre response in the process. Lioness coach Mel B. keeps it cool despite Lottie losing another battle in the ring, Emma beats her by the numbers but can't quite inflict enough physical damage before a late switch to pound the model in the breadbasket folds Moss into loud spasms. It's still not quite what Emma wants here but she's made a terrific start to this fighter regardless.
Round 3:
Lottie makes her move to open the third and triggers a back & forth head-hunting dispute in the center of the ring which slows Emma's progress even though the actual exchange doesn't carry enough fireworks in the end. Emma slips away from some of the model's punches and shows superior mobility but then takes the biggest punch of the lot right on the chin and briefly freezes on the spot which allows Moss to pancake additional leather on her mouth and knock her back to the ropes. Ugh! That was careless from Rigby who has to spend the final minute of the round hugging the ropes but she gets away from this trap without further damage; she gives Lottie a lenghty bytch stare at the bell but the London-born model pretends to ignore it...
Round 4:
Another quick pounce from Emma who tries to expand her points lead but she bounces off the model's stubborn guard and falls into a steady counter-punching attack instead. She remains in the firing lane hoping to break Lottie's stride at all cost but the younger blonde lands a crippling left/right combo on the nose that wobbles the Mersey actress onto her heels and she has to think better off it. However she still gets blasted up the middle as Moss moves into a ferocious attack that pushes Rigby back to the turnbuckle where she soaks up more heat until a desperate clinch limits the damage in the closing stages. Lottie keeps working the left hand to punish Emma's ribcage in the clinch and leaves the Mersey lass choked up on spasms at the bell.
Round 5:
Lottie fires more head shots to stun Emma during the initial exchange and steps into her shots with improved power while knocking her opponent's head around until she leaves a visible cut under the left eye. Ugh! Emma barks in anger over that wound but she gets methodically outworked by the younger blonde right now and doesn't carry that supreme power supply anymore. The back & forth trade still gives Moss a clear edge when she bounces Rigby onto the ropes and finds more success slicing her high guard come the final minute. Emma tries to turn her fortunes around and explores the body attack but gets chinned from the inside as she remains a split second too slow for the ascending model who rips some mean punches from point-blank range instead.
Round 6:
Emma tries to run up the jabbing score but gets outworked in the process and Lottie simply lands more clean shots into her face before a booming left hook nails the Mersey actress on the ear and slumps her into loud spasms on the spot. Lottie fires another left hook on the nose and then lands a vintage piledriver on the mouth TO DROP RIGBY ONTO HER BACKSIDE amid a loud roar from the Cardiff audience. Ugh! Emma takes the knockdown hard and cuts a hollow look even when she beats the count at eight. Lottie shouts something to the referee who allows the fight to continue but the London model begins to maul Emma's face here with more ruthless strikes before a quick uppercut double pulls the plug on the ailing actress. DOWN GOES RIGBY AGAIN and this time the ref waves off the count since he had no other reasonable choice anyway. KO6 Lottie Moss!!!
AFTER: This wasn't a flawless performance from Lottie who might have not impressed the reigning bantamweight champion at all but maybe the Lionesses count on the lack of quality opponents for Sophia Thomalla to choose from? The Black Eagles remain silent on social media but Denise van Outen knows some of these championship fights are made behind the scenes anyway and there's a direct hot line between these two stables since the Eagles are run by the former Lioness head trainer Gina Wild after all. Watch this space!
Official Result: Lottie Moss def. Emma Rigby KO6.
