BEFORE: Former Miss Teen Alabama Baskin Champion wants to remind everyone she's a viable threat in the lightweight division while Australian-based Chilean Pia Miller begins another chapter of her post-Sirens recovery mission. She found it very rough going last season and it's anyone's guess can she sustain the power of an opponent several years her junior tonight. Beggars can't be choosers though and Pia is happy to slug it out during a random weekend for seemingly minimal marketing gain!
Baskin Champion wears a blue bikini top, micro jeans shorts & white gloves. Long blonde hair tied in a sleek ponytail. Pia Miller wears a red bikini top, micro black jeans shorts & red gloves. Long black hair tied in a braid. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the lightweight division.
Round 1:
Baskin shows some quick hands in the opening minute and rattles the older model around the ring but lacks the big punch to really enforce her presence. She still hassles Pia around the area and tries to lock her down in the corner but the brunette fires over the top to score some punches against the pressure and leans into her efforts to even the impression value down the stretch. Baskin crashes in with some good uppercuts on the chest to divert Pia's attention but then eats a powerful hook on the jaw and spins to the side at the last moment before the Chilean veteran can potentially steal the round outright.
Rounds 2 & 3:
Pia tries to carry more counter-punching momentum but also struggles to land the full weight of her punches which allows the American to smack more jug shots to please the crowd. She truly believes she can soften Miller up that way but leaves too much room upstairs and gets whacked with more overhand response from the Chilean veteran. Pia sticks to the aerial plan and outworks the younger model in the process however Baskin doesn't seem too concerned over the inferior revenue and taunts her opponent verbally to earn some support from the crowd. She maintains the body charge in the third but struggles for required precision and the older woman throttles her back to the post to swing the momentum into her favor again before a lenghty clinch slows the action down.
Rounds 4 & 5:
More back & forth action but Baskin shows more evil edge to smack through the brunette's chest before looping a quick hook on the jaw. Pia spends majority of the round fending off the point-blank range heat and she's unable to escape the blonde's range which leads into a hectic slugfest along the ropes when the American unloads the juice like she'd planned to begin with. Pia limits the damage with an otherwise stubborn guard but soaks up too many of these hard body shots in the fifth so Champion dominates the exchange and pummels more of the brunette's exposed midriff. Miller refuses to back off but gets pounded into a standstill anyway and slumps into loud spasms when the younger model belts her in the liver area before dropping another harpoon on the navel. Ugh! Pia is hurt and walks back to her corner shaking her head in frustration.
Round 6:
Baskin loads up more body assault and catches the ailing brunette with another harpoon rally before a quick uppercut check slumps Miller onto her heels. Too many of these clean hits rattle the Chilean veteran out of her comfort zone and she can't clinch the blonde fast enough... Baskin digs an elbow into her breasts and RIPS a right cross on the nose that DROPS PIA FOR THE COUNT!!! Uh-oh!!! All those body shots and Pia still gets dropped upstairs. She cuts a shaken figure trying to beat the count, stays down on one knee when it appears she's ready to complete the process and then just shakes her head again. NINE.. TEN... She is counted OUT!!! KO6 Baskin Champion!!!
AFTER: One can argue the American model broke the Chilean mentally more than physically in the end and there's no luck for Pia once again. BBU TV's Kate Abdo suggests she could fight some of these fellow 40-ish rivals instead of trying to prove her point against women still in their mid 20s. It's just not going to work at all while Pia is simply too skilled to serve as random tomato can according most reports from behind the scenes. Then again these free agents struggle to compile winnable match-making schedule since they usually react to other people's ideas.
