BEFORE: Veteran Aussie actress Kym Valentine believes she can break through with a rare win at the expense of Dutch model Sylvie Meis who comes off a double losing effort at the Bondi Beach back in January. We're back indoors for this fight with the Sydney SuperDome hosting BBU action for the first time and most pundits believe the local actress can get the job done versus a struggling opponent.

Kym Valentine wears a blue crop top, black hip-huggers & white gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a loose bun at the back of her head. Sylvie Meis wears a salmon lingerie set & blue gloves. Long blonde hair tied in a half-up ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.

Round 1:
Kym jumps into immediate jabbing drive hoping to catch the blonde off guard and she carries a couple of good shots on target followed by a swift gut check that makes Sylvie cry out in sudden pain. However it's way too early to be flustered by such an effort so the Dutch tourist seeks instant response and flies in with an overhand combo to smack the actress on each temple which then triggers a lenghty leather dispute in the center of the ring. Both women lean into each other trying to score the breakthrough connection but acually lack outright precision to stay on top of their attacks. The back & forth rumble continues until Kym lands a quick double on the nose and she forces Meis to blink first; the blonde model spins out of further contact and circles back to the post which allows the Sydney fighter to carry the round on points.

Round 2:
More aggressive hits from Kym who comes forward to slam unanswered leather into the blonde's face and it's kinda getting late early for Meis who can't stop leaking these punches up the middle to the point the brunette foe taunts her verbally before driving her onto the ropes much quicker than even Sarah Cumming in the Green & Gold booth anticipated. Kym carries a stubborn jabbing attack to keep Sylvie pinned behind the vintage earmuff but she still splits the mitts to knock the blonde ponytail around; Meis tries to hit back with a loopy swing and gets busted in the chin a couple of time before Kym whacks her across the nose to open the floodgates. She blasts the cumbersome tourist with a triple effort and has time to drive a hard uppercut when the ailing model slumped right into its path. Ugh! DOWN GOES MEIS crashing on her backside in the corner and the Sydney Dome errupts in joy if only the bell actually saves the tourist from immediate demise moments later. Kym barks in anger as she is probably denied a famous victory while Sylvie catches a lucky break and seems to have recovered during the interval.

Round 3:
Kym pushes to blow the tourist up however she misses her sweet spot and gets tangled in the model's overhand response which triggers another hectic dispute that brings equal shares come the one-minute mark. Valentine nurses quite a nasty shiner under the left eye and there's little consolation she managed to bust the blonde's lips into a swollen mess since she loses the dominant position and gets rocked by a left hook on the ear shortly afterwards. Ugh! Kym's legs buckle for the first time and she opens the door for another feisty series that allows Sylvie to charge up the hill and bury the reeling brunette on the ropes come the final minute. It's hard to imagine Meis was down on her backside just three minutes ago but these cougar fights can flip a switch very quickly indeed and it's about making the most of the moment. Ref has to pull the Dutch tourist away at the bell...

Round 4:
...but Kym has to endure another body-checking drive early in the fourth when Meis gets down to business and piles on with the heat. Some worried screams from the Sydney audience as Valentine just doesn't look comfortable getting laced in the guts and loses her authority following a vicious series on the navel. Sylvie gets vocal herself as she digs an elbow in the brunette's chest and tackles her onto the ropes where she resumes the pounding to bend the actress sideways into loud spasms before too long. Uh-oh! Kym has to seek a desperate clinch but still leaks more body blows and slumps into loud spasms while the Dutch model drills her on the navel with a brutal combo. Woof. Kym slumps on jelly knees and assumes the punchbag command for remainder of the round; she's lucky Meis doesn't have enough juice to finish her off here but the recharge process is always a problem among these cougars...

Round 5:
Sylvie moves in to pound more of the brunette's midriff and bends her into more spasms seconds from the bell before a swift uppercut combo tags the Sydney actress on the chin... she tries to swing through with a desperate haymaker... completely misses the target and eats a vicious right hand on the nose that spills the red paint upon impact. Ugh! Even Sylvie freezes when the blood drips onto her face however she doesn't have to worry about a follow up since Valentine heads down for the exit door in jack-knife fashion moments later anyway. BOOM! The SuperDome crowd is silenced and Kym ends up face down unable to shake off the knockout daze during an otherwise slow count. KO5 Sylvie Meis in come-from-behind fashion!!!

AFTER: A tough one for the local crowd which saw their favorite dominate the action early on before wheels came off in rather spectacular fashion. These cougars don't have supreme durability value so when they go down, they usually go down hard and there was no exception for Ms Valentine either. Over in the Dutch camp it's all smiles for Sylvie who vows to resume her beach boxing schedule once she returns to Europe as she claims her mini tour of Australia is officially done for the season.
