RACHEL MCADAMS VS JESSICA SCHWARTZ

Before: 3-time BBU Bantamweight Champion Jessica Schwartz takes on 4-time FCBA Bantamweight champion Rachel McAdams in what promises to be a crowd-pleasing “Battleof the Champions” bout.
“I have to say when I first met Jessica, my first thought was” ‘They sure do grow tall bantams over here!’” Rachel relates with a smile.
“But I wanted a challenge when I came over here and I can see I've got it. I have to say everyone at the Foxfire Atlantic Black Swan Hall training center has made me feel very welcome on my first visit to a BBU ring. I am hoping the fans will want me back for more.”
Jessica Schwarz says: “I welcome the chance to prove I can take on a veteran FCBA veteran and beat her. Of course, it won’t be easy, but I think I will eventually find a way to beat her down.”
For the fight, a blonde-haired Rachel in in a red and black one piece. Red gloves , black boots and hair in a ponytail. Jessica in a silver one piece with black gloves and boots. Brunette hair in a battle braid down her back.
Polite ring instruction as both fighters look eager to get this started and very shortly there after they get their wish as the bell rings…
R1: Jessica moving up against Rachel very rapidly, trying to use her longer reach to land punches and pull back to avoid the counters.
Rachel trying to work her away forward under Jessica’s extended arms, but Jessica able to rattle Rachel she downward punches into her head and face.
Rachel seeking to disrupt Jessica’s attack with jabbing up into her body. Jessica ignoring these blows and putting more power into her punching, Punches bouncing off Rachel’s head putting shivers in her legs, but Rachel jabbing back to the breasts now. Jessica digs in and drives Rachel back a couple of steps with chest pounding punches of her own.
Fighters now circling and punching as time runs out on the round. Close,but judges award the round to Jessica Schwarz.
R2: Rachel moving around a lot more this round and striking hard to the body as Jessica comes in.
Jessica finding it harder to hit Rachel with enough impact to slow her up. Steady move and punch from the Canadian blonde.
Jessica looking annoyed, but still keeps coming, trying get hard leather onto the constantly moving Rachel. Rounds ends with Rachel winning the stanza wide.
R3: Jessica working to get in close, hold Rachel in place and work her over. It takes her most of the round to do this as Rachel continues to be elusive most of the way.
Rachel piling up a lot of points early, but then tide shifts when Jessica finally cracks Rachel a good solid right to the jaw.
Rachel staggering from the blow and Jessica closes in to put punches hard on Rachel’s body and making her feel every landed punch as the power crashes through her body, Rachel slowing down and trying to use her jab.
Jab knocking Jessica in the face and chin to slow her down. Jessica getting ready for another charge when bell sounds.
Rachel has managed to hang on to a closely won round, but Jessica looking a lot happier going to her stool. Rachel looking like she’s still feeling Jessica’s punches as the shock waves reverberate within in her body.
R4: Jessica attacking with firmness this round and she's soon got Rachel backing up as the punches strike to her head and body. Rachel’s head knocked back with a well-placed uppercut to the chin and then batted from side to side by bouncing rights and lefts.
Rachel trying to strike back with some lunging rights and lefts, but is beaten back when she tries. Her face now reddened and lumping up, Rachel covers up and Jessica now scores to the body with her power punches, Some of these body shots put Rachel on her toes, but somehow she is able to stay in.
Round ends in a wide win for the German actress and Rachel looking dazed by the punches she has absorbed.
R5: Rachel initially cautious as the new round begins and Jessica is in to swarm all over her, but Rachel now able to get some counters to Jessica’s chin and off her jaw.
Jessica slows up and Rachel moves in, trying to stay under Jessica’s punches and stuff hooks into Jessica bust line.
Jessica not liking having her breasts so rudely treated and tries to get at Rachel’s modest chest.
Rachel grimacing but using the jab to fight back at close range.
Most of Rachel jabs going to the belly, but landing enough breast bangers to irritate Jessica.
Rachel adding more chin shots too, but then gets a nasty shot of the jaw that causes her to drop back with her eyes glassy, Rachel able to cover up as Jessica tries to follow-up on that chin shot, but she holds the taller bantam off to the bell.
Jessica awarded the round, but Rachel able to make it close.
R6: Rachel McAdams pulls herself together with the help of the experienced Foxfire Atlantic corner crew and she comes rocketing off her stool.
Jessica Schwarz is clearly taken off guard as Rachel comes surging in driving her hooks into Jessica’s body with determined power.
Rachel backing Jessica up, not giving the chance to adjust and surprising her with shots to the head from unexpected angles.
Jessica trying to jab, but missing. Then Rachel goes for the chin with right/left combos and finishing uppercuts.
Jessica still backing up is struck on the chin again and again. Accumulation quickly gets to the taller bantam and one last uppercut sends Jessica crashing into the ropes. Jessica looks blankly at Rachel and then slides down the ropes into a seated position. Rachel marches off to the neutral corner. Jessica trying to get up as the referee begins counting, but she can’t seem to get her body to cooperate.
She never quits trying, but just can’t manage it as the count passes “TEN!”It’s over!
THE WINNER: RACHEL MCADAMS DEFEATS JESSICA SCHWARZ KO6.
After: “I have to admit that was a hard one,:” Rachel McAdams admits in the post fight, using a white towel to wipe the sweat off her face.
“I’m going to have one black and blue face tomorrow, but, fortunately, I was able to get to her chin and pull this one out tonight. I’m sore, but winning is the best pain reliever I know of.”
Jessica Schwarz able to speak with the press: “I can’t help feeling that I let this one get away. She was tricky to hit early, but I thought I had her figured out. Then she came back at me and got to my chin, I shouldn’t have been that surprised when dealing with a veteran like her. I guess it goes to show even a veteran like me can learn from a setback.”
Very interesting fight. Jessica Schwarz did seem to have Rachel McAdams figured out by R5, but the Canadian was not as finished as the German bantam believed.
That miscalculation may have cost her the fight.
Physical underdog Rachel able to pull out the win and we’ll see if she explores more of the BBU bantam scene in times to come.
