Tom Hilton: Hello ladies and gentlemen, another amazing BBU PPV has been and went, with massive results that continue to shape the welterweight division taking place on Thursday.
The BBU welterweight title tournament saw four girls advance to the semi finals, those quarter final bouts making up today's show.
First we start with discussing Alex Gerrard fighting Jameela Jamil, a battle of two girls from the oldest BBU stables, both wanting to make a statement for their managers by getting to the last four.
Then we go to the other bout in the top end of the draw, Jourdan Dunn wanted revenge against the girl who had retired her stablemate Sabrina Washington, that fighter being Catherine Tyldesley.
Third on today's show is the Joan Smalls versus Karen Gillan fight, both had exchanged cruel words after their first round victories, who would be proven to be superior though by the end of the night.
Finally; we talk about the main event, Jaye Jacobs and Nicola McLean have both been pillars of the welterweight division, they've never fought before Thursday, so who proved to be that they deserve to continue being a title contender and who needs to get back to the gym hard.
The PPV also saw big wins for Petra Nemcova, Josephine Skriver, Melissa Satta and Caroline Austin all got big wins, maybe helping them get into title contention for the welterweight title once we have a champion.

Part 1: Alex Gerrard vs Jameela Jamil I mean let's start with the stables these two girls are from, the Lioness stable and the Beever's Babe's are two of the oldest stables in the BBU, along with Lookout! Atlantic and Foxfire Atlantic.
The stables are not friends by any stretch with multiple wars over the years showing the pride each has that they are the best around Britain.
Meaning there was a hell of a lot of pressure on both these fighters to stump up the goods, could they do that or would they crash and burn.
Well the start was fiery as you'd expect, both fighters coming up the centre to try and hurt each other, with Jameela starting the better but ending taking a beating across her stunning face as the opening round wore on.
As the fight wore on, Alex looked to be at peak condition; forcing Jameela back after ducking and dodging her rivals punches, Alex just wearing her out with clean shots across her face.
By round 4 it all looked lost for Jameela, Alex just beating her like she owed her money straight up the center of her guard, till Jamil went down.
She did get up to beat the count at 8, if the fight wasn't as important you could argue the referee could have stepped in to stop it, but he let Alex come forwards to do more punishment before he finally did step in to stop the mauling.
Alex proving that she is a deadly serious contender for the title, she has experience and looks the most motivated she ever has in our humble opinion.
Jameela meanwhile shouldn't be too disheartened, I believe that a lack of action has seriously affected her title chances, but if she can get more regular work, at 5 wins and 3 losses; she is far from a lost cause in a division that still is growing.

Part 2: Jourdan Dunn vs Catherine Tyldesley The word grudge maybe gets used a little too much you could argue, some people hold grudges over small things, I don't think forcing someone's stablemate to retire is a small thing though right?
Catherine has of course become famous for retiring BBU Hall of Famer Sabrina Washington with two brutal beatings, the last one near the beginning of this year.
To Jourdan from the stories she and others out the Beever's camp has said were very close, Sabrina was a mentor, a friend and a hero to the youngster and to see her forced to retire was heartbreaking.
So as these two fought in press conferences and exchanged verbal jabs, you knew this was going to be the most brutal fight of the night.
Jourdan was after blood from the bell, something she got as she opened up a cut on the nose of her bitter enemy, just beating Catherine for the first round.
Catherine though fought back, getting to the inside of Jourdan's reach; she had one goal in mind, cut her down to size with a body barrage.
But Jourdan showed she was willing to fight dirty with Catherine, clubbing her behind the head when they were in close, after the referee broke them apart she landed over his head to the bloody nose of Tyldesley.
The fight just got worse from a refereeing standpoint, a low blow from Dunn was not spotted, in fact it was rewarded with a count, before Catherine pays her back the same way and also gets a frickin count! What the hell are referees on in the BBU!
Round five was probably the cleanest since round one, but it was the one where Jourdan was deducted a point finally!
It also led to the finish as Catherine ate too many punches, getting up after being put down, the next barrage she took though finished her off for the count though.
Catherine needing to be stretchered away showed how badly she was put down, something that put a smile on Sabrina Washington's face as she came out to tell Jourdan how proud she was.
To be clear, this fight was a disgrace; the fighters yes held a grudge but what they did in that ring is something you'd see in a street fight, maybe that is where the rematch should happen between these two as a referee shouldn't put up with this sort of thing.
But I also want to tell the referee, he is another one who should be fired, that isn't an overreaction, I am getting sick of these referees who just completely miss things right in front of them that should be a disqualification.
I am honestly thinking former fighters should be used a special referees for fights as important as this, I don't think some of the former fighters would put up with a dirty fight like this without sorting it out themselves, rant over.
Semi final one will be Alex Gerrard versus Jourdan Dunn, Alex performed better it has to be said, but Jourdan looks to have her outgunned, a power puncher and one of the tallest in the division in general, I firmly believe Jourdan will be in the final and to make a massive prediction, she will win the tournament!

Part 3: Joan Smalls vs Karen Gillan This fight had a lot of fans wondering who could back up their promises, Joan had said that her and her best friend Jourdan Dunn would be fighting for the title, Karen of course taking exception to that, feeling she was being looked past and telling Joan how she would enjoy battering her.
This back and forth went on for a while, with snipes on each others careers, their skills and just simply calling each other foul names.
But I heard that both girls trained probably the hardest they ever have for a fight, so much pride on the line and the prize of being one step closer to the big gold belt really had them motivated.
The fight itself saw Karen maybe surprising to some take the fight to Joan with her speed, Karen is an anomaly for a welterweight due to her footwork and hand speed being like a lightweights, I believe she has the quickest hands at 130+ lbs.
Joan couldn't live with it in the first three rounds, she's known for her power but when you have a target that is sticking and moving so much, she just couldn't get settled.
But as the fight wore on; Joan started to grow into, judging where her opponent would be and being aggressive in a good way to drive her opponent back onto the ropes.
The later rounds of the fight saw Joan take control the action, it was almost a hundred and eighty degree turnaround due to Joan catching Karen, keeping her stuck on the back foot so she couldn't work as well as she did when allowed to move freely.
It led to the sixth round, one where Karen got caught coming in with a hard right to her temple, she was beaten on the ropes and the referee stopped the fight.
To be frank, I felt that with the stakes of the fight that Karen should have been allowed to at least either put down or take a knee, while she was taking somewhat a beating, her hands were protecting her to enough of a degree that she wasn't out on her feet.
Karen was pissed off as you'd expect, so a rematch may occur whatever happens after the tournament, again read my point about refereeing in the last post as I am not rehashing that again.
But on Joan, she showed she can come back from adversity, it will be interesting to see if she can keep going to the top as she keeps learning the trade with a semi final bout coming fast for her.

Final Part: Jaye Jacobs vs Nicola McLean Both Jaye and Nicola have roughly been around since the beginning of the welterweight division in the BBU, in fact Jaye was in the tournament to crown the first champion of the division here, falling short in her pursuit.
But in six years of fighting, they had never stepped foot in the ring against each other, that didn't stop both being catty at the press conference of course.
The early action in the fight saw Nicola use her extra reach to land to her opponents face, keep control of the early action with good footwork.
Round three was when the fight really came to life as Jaye finally found a way through to her opponent, leading to both fighters brawling around the ring, Nicola falling into the mistake of trying to fight in tight due to her temper.
But Nicola did find some success in round four, finding her range around to rock Jaye across her face, the problem was she couldn't break through the guard of her opponent.
Jaye timed her counter attack, barraging forwards with hard hooks that forced Nicola back, hurting the big blonde.
By round six; it was Nicola who was on the back foot, trying to fight back as Jaye just pounded her across the head with pinpoint accuracy till Nicola went down, she forced her way back up but the referee had to step to stop the fight as Jaye tore into her.
It showed you how important this tournament and this fight is to both fights, Nicola sobbing her heart out as she lost her chance to win her first title, while Jaye looked ready to run around the entire arena in celebration.
So semi final two will see a rematch between Joan Smalls fighting Jaye Jacobs, the first fight was a very physical war which saw Joan win, I can see her winning this fight too but Jaye has every chance as she has found her winning streak again, it will be one hell of a fight.
That's today's show done and dusted, hopefully the show was good and I want to say thank you to everyone who read this, the next Real View will be next Sunday as usual guys.
