Tom Hilton: Well another fun week has passed in the BBU, we have seen French boxing get another showcase fight and the new bloods of the bantamweight division show their potential as title contenders.
First we start with the BBU French bantamweight title fight between the champ Clara Morgane and Elodie Frege, could Frege rewrite history by winning back the title she lost to Morgane?
Then we look at the bantamweight new blood tournament semi final bouts, the first being between beautiful brain box Rachel Riley and fellow Essex girl Jessica Wright.
After that we focus on the other tournament bout as Helen George fought Nadia Forde, a hard hitting bout between two girls not afraid to let others know what they think of them.
Last but not least, we discuss the debut of Dua Lipa as she fought Claire Cooper, could the song bird produce another hit or would Cooper upset the welcoming party?
On another note, we will have the BBU pound for pound top ten up tomorrow, that always brings about debate so let's see who argues their position.

Part 1: French Bantamweight title fight: Elodie Frege and Clara Morgane's history runs through deep, both used to be stablemates and it was 5 years ago that Clara beat Elodie to claim at the time the title.
One she has held ever since, but only due to the fact the title was quietly retired, with the main BBU bantamweight title being the one every French girl wants.
Clara would bring back the title this year and has made two defences; with Lorie Pester and Marion Cotillard were the challengers that came up short.
The build up saw both girls show real determination on their faces, talking of proving they are the best French fighter of any weight and how they are superior to their rival.
Clara started the stronger, in fact she bloodied the nose of Elodie within the first minute of the fight, showing her power early to control the round.
But maybe overconfidence came into Clara's head as she was way too open and took a hard shot towards her liver area that forced her to take a standing 8 count, her face showed she certainly didn't take too kindly to that punch.
A cut above the left eye of Clara, blood running down both fighters face as this surprisingly was a real war, even the crowd looked shocked by how brutal these two were with each other.
Elodie took a vicious looking right that put down the challenger, she pulled herself up the ropes as Clara gave her one hell of a deadly stare, I honestly believe she was thinking of tossing the gloves off and just pounding Elodie with her bare knuckles, that's how bitter this had become and all this was just in 3 rounds!
Round 4 saw the shocking end, Elodie looked to be breathing badly due to her bloody nose, she though found a peach of an uppercut that knocked Clara out by the looks of it as soon as it landed.
Elodie winning the belt for a second time in her career, this will be an interesting time as Elodie Yung wants a crack at her, that quickly becoming a grudge fight feel itself.
While questions have to be asked about Clara, was this the result of a second wind for Frege's career or is Morgane starting to show some cracks? We will see in the coming months for that answer.

Part 2: Rachel Riley vs Jessica Wright I don't know how many derby's we get in the BBU, I never think about it usually but with both these women from Essex, that is to add to the fact this is an important tournament in the BBU, where the winner could be at the front of the quote for a bantamweight title shot.
The fight itself didn't have much of a grudge feel to it, both ignoring the elements outside the fight for the most part, just wanting to beat each other badly.
Early action saw Rachel look to be in scouting mode, letting Jessica take the lead as Riley happily sat back as she took punches to her gloves for the most part of round 1.
Though when she did get hit, her expression showed they certainly hurt her, a fact more clear in the second round as Jessica got more power punches through to the face of Rachel, who needed to clinch up to stop the assault she was under.
In round 3 though, Rachel seemed to have finished scouting and started to really fight, she landed the cleaner punches and danced out the way of wild counter punches.
It got so bad for Jessica that her nose was bleeding badly, she gamely tried to fight on but an uppercut in round 5 finished the job off for Rachel, who advances to the New Blood final.
I'll talk about Rachel more in the next part of the show of course, so Jessica lost and it has to be said it wasn't a great display after she was caught in the firing line, that is something she definitely has to work on as her punching power will only get her so far.

Part 3: Helen George vs Nadia Forde: So Helen has the rep of a girl I dislike, meaning she is a bytch, while Nadia has some fire but is mostly respectful of her opponent's.
The build up encapsulated that with Helen claiming that Nadia preferred to be on her back when we had the "pleasure" of her company, while Nadia said she'd let her fists do the talking.
The fight saw Helen start the early rounds quickly, her hand speed looking quicker then Nadia's, but the raw power was in the corner of Nadia, who as the rounds wore on tool control with power punches knocking Helen onto ropes and into the corner.
As the rounds continued; Nadia just absolutely ripped into her opponent, Helen never looking comfortable as she stopped from working by the constant pressure from the Irish fighter.
Helen kept trying to find the answer but couldn't and by round 5 she was puffy faced, looking a real mess as she was put down, to her credit though she got up to try and fight back, problem was she didn't have the strength to really do much.
By the next round, Nadia was playing with her, taunting her prey to make things worse for the blonde, Nadia putting her down again, but Helen surprised everyone by getting to her feet at 8, she was wobbling so thankfully the referee ended the fight.
Meaning we have a Rachel Riley vs Nadia Forde final to look forwards too, a true brain versus brawn fight, I can't say exactly the date for this, hopefully an organiser can give us a month.
But the important thing is this should be a top fight, Rachel has the skill set to beat Nadia with her fight smarts and footwork, but Nadia is a major upgrade on her opposition, I see both being champions in the future.
My pick though for the fight is Nadia, I just see her testing the chin of Rachel a little too much and the tournament victory heading to Ireland.

Final Part: Dua Lipa vs Claire Cooper: It has been a long time since we spoke about Claire, that might not seem important to some, but those who have followed our show since the beginning nearly 2 years old, well Claire and this show have been verbal sparring partners throughout the first year.
That was due to us saying how we were disappointed in her, you hear the tales of her toughness but she keeps getting beat, so let's see if she could prove us wrong this time.
Her opponent was the young singer Dua Lipa, I have to admit I am not a big fan of her music, just not my cup of tea, what was though was when we were invited as part of a press party to see her train, this girl works hard in the gym and looked great in sparring.
The build up saw both fighters trade insults, so this wasn't going to be a friendly affair, which was proven without a doubt when Claire used JMD style tactics to bash the jugs of Dua, clearly to try and rattle the rookie, push her out her comfort zone.
The problem for Claire was physically she wasn't a match for Dua, that certainly became clear as the rounds passed by, with Claire getting caught with thudding punches by the bigger Lipa.
Claire's face would become a mess thanks to the repeated clean shots she took right through her guard, she went down twice in the fight and the second time in round 4 was the end of her night.
She had to be helped out the ring, that is how bad the beating was for Claire, another sign that she is not likely to pick up another win in her career, though I expect her to tell me why I am wrong again, something I've missed haha.
On Dua, if she gets a run of steam behind her, this could be a future champion, she is only 22; big for a lightweight and works hard, so is she the perfect rookie package?
Well we will have to see if she can do the job on the bigger stage, this part of her career builds confidence, the big fights are the proof of the pudding.
So that's today's show, I hope it was enjoyable and I want to say thank you to everyone who viewed these posts, the next episode will be on Sunday as always.

I'm really happy the experts judge me as a winner of the bantamweight tourney! Rachel stands no chance in the final! How can you bet against a body like THIS?

I'm glad Tom enjoyed my first ever fight and that he thinks so highly of me, I promise I won't let him down. In fact I am proud to announce I will be on the BBU PPV this month as I knock these Hollyoaks bums out it seems with Ali Bastian wanting some of me. So Ali bring it on! I'm not worried at all about you as who would be of a failed actress. Training hard to run the BBU
