OK with this being the last Golden Gloves poll of the year, we wanted to go big and with rumours these two could be meeting for a rematch, we felt the ultimate Geordie grudge fight fit the bill for the occasion, so you do you will win?
Now for those wanting to learn the back story, in 2014; both fought in their hometown in a youth vs old fight, maybe shockingly to some the youngster won with a blistering 2nd round knockout, putting Jade Thirlwall on the map of the BBU!
But how much has changed since then? Well the oblivious is that Cheryl has won the BBU flyweight title and is for the 2nd set of rankings our number 1 pound for pound fighter from the past year.
While Jade herself has had a mixed bag some would argue with her run in America giving her a few bruising defeats but also a few glorious wins to show she is fulfilling her potential.
Physically Cheryl and Jade are near identical; they are both 5'3, similar weights and styles, though Jade due to her age is the faster, Cheryl looks the harder puncher, though it looks close.
Of course fight wise, Cheryl wins the experience and level of competition because of that, though you can argue that Jades win over Cheryl gives her a mental edge over her rival.
Weaknesses, Cheryl can be too cocky, a fact that has led her to become too open and get clocked, while Jade has been questionable when pressured; she doesn't seem to like working with her back to the ropes as she likes to be on the move.
