Team Canada roster changes
(Amanda Tapping stands in front of the press in her stables conference room to deliver her news)
Amanda: we are about to enter a new year and as such; we as a stable need to change out some of the girls who've either never done it or we sadly believe are too old to continue.
First off I'd like to make it totally official since it seems the BBU still recognises Emily Rose as our fighter, she has been terminated from our employ for a while due to her actions and while Nicole De Boer would love to rip her hair out over said incident.
We just believe saying goodbye and leaving it at that is the best course of action, but we do warn other stables of her temper.
Emily Rose:
Next we say goodbye to Kim Poirier; she was a great girl to have around the gym but she struggled to garner fights and her loss to Laura Whitmore was somewhat troubling.
I do honestly hope that she finds a stable that will use her, she is someone who can add something somewhere else we believe, just not here sadly.
Kim Poirier:
Next I am sad to announce the retirement of Ona Grauer; again another fighter I loved around the gym but at 42 years old and only 2 official fights, she as well as us felt it was time she looked to other things in her life.
Ona herself has told me though that if an attractive offer comes along to fight, that she may consider it; so I would not totally rule out a return but it isn't likely I hate to say.
Ona Grauer:
Finally on the list of fighters being cut; Karen Cliche has fought as our welterweight star for many years, but we feel it's time to move her on as she wants to continue her career and we believe this isn't the place for her to do it from.
There have been many rumours that her and one of our other stars Alaina Huffman have been at each others throats for years, well we can't deny it but can say it had no baring on this decision, this was ours and we were influenced by internal politics as some might claim.
But we wish Karen the best in her future, hopefully she can find more fights in the BBU or FCBA and that she finds success.
Karen Cliche:
But it is not all bad news, I am proud to announce our new PR woman, she is an old friend of the stable you could say from her battles with us this past year and has lots of experience from her time as Alpha Boxing Clubs director of Communications.
Please can you welcome Emmanuelle Chriqui to our stable!
Emmanuelle Chriqui:
Emmanuelle: I'll keep this quick guys, I want to give a shout out to my old stablemates in ABC to say I hope you guys find a good home too and hope to see you soon.
But I also want to point out that I am happy to be part of this stable, I will be as Amanda helping with the PR of this stable and for those wondering; yes I will be boxing on a currently part time basis, not that I won't be training full time I might add.
I meet several of the girls in the ring last year and I have to say that they are some of the toughest people I know, I look forwards to getting to know them better and hopefully make friends here.
That's all from us, if there is anymore big news; you'll hear it from me first guys, thank you for your time and I hope to be in the ring soon enough to show you guys what I can do.
