First though; we will focus on the flyweight contender 6 round robin tournament, a tournament that seeks to crown a number 1 contender for the title and the first main event saw our rookie of last year Diana Korkunova fight Lily Allen. Second on today's show is another fight from that tournament, Tiffany Mulheron made her return to the ring after a break, her first obstacle was Stephanie Davis; who had a hell of a run to finish last year off. Then we will discuss the last fight in the tournament, Jenna Louise Coleman also returned to action after a difficult year last year, her opponent Heidi Range looking to show she is in not just someone to hide in her stablemate the champ Cheryl Cole's shadow. Last on the show; we will discuss the big moments from April to June of last year, so new fans can see how we got to where we are and old fans can reminisce about another historic year in the BBU. In quick other news, for fans of the Golden Gloves polls, well they will be starting up again this Wednesday! A quick guide for those who don't know, the GG polls are where we pit two fighters together for your votes, with the winner getting a set of golden gkoves as a trophy, so keep your eyes out for that and I hope to see your votes guys.

Part 1: Diana Korkunova vs Lily Allen The contender 6 tournament is designed to give top fighters a chance to prove they deserve a title shot at the champ Cheryl Cole and as a fan of the tournament pointed out; there are no easy outs.
In this fight you have a woman in Lily Allen; who has battered Cheryl before and nearly took the title off Jenna Louise Coleman when she had the belt.
While Diana was voted our rookie of the year, she crushed Cher Lloyd in a fight of the tough rookies and has been showing she has amazing potential all year, so could she make the step up in this tournament?
The fight was easily the best of the night, both fighters looking to dominate the action with Diana using her reach advantage, it was Lily though who enforced the action by getting right into the face of the youngster to pressure her.
Diana to her credit stood up to the pressure in the early round and she had some great moments in the early part of the fight herself, countering Lily and smashing her to the face with stiff straight punches.
Both fighters battered each other around the ring, ready taking it to their opponent as the importance of the fight fuelled the passion of them.
But Lily found the extra gear it seemed; her body work helped her open up Diana for more of her power punches and she finally caught her with an uppercut that finished Korkunova's night off in the 6th round.
The win seems to have spurred Lily judging by her comments to Diana and her coach Katie Price, claiming that she wants let's just put it in a more friendly way then she did, she wants all the other fighters in the tournament to know she is coming to knock them out on her road to glory.
While Diana has to pick herself up; this is the first time that she has been in this situation, can she pick herself up knowing she has to win her next fight or her tournament run might be over quickly.
So we'll ironically maybe watching Diana more closely then Lily, but both have big 2018's ahead so keep an eye on these two to make a statement I feel.

Part 2: Tiffany Mulheron vs Stephanie Davis This tournament bout saw the former champ against a woman whose seen as one of the future of the division, as Tiffany and Stephanie looked to step closer to glory.
Tiffany is a funny situation; she is a former champion as stated all the way back in 2011! She has taken the last 3 years off to as she fell out of love with the sport and she had actually been training her fellow flyweights in her Foxfire Atlantic stable.
While Stephanie was a major talking point of December since she returned after taking most of the year off due to well known problems in her life, but she came back and won 3 in a row, with beating Kara Tointon looking like the biggest scalp of her career.
So the build up led us to what was expected to be an action packed fight, what we got was a stunning moment; Tiffany and Stephanie went at it from the bell.
Tiffany would catch Stephanie across the temple with a vicious right and an uppercut knocked out her young opponent in round 1!
We don't do awards for moments of the year, this may win that award though as the result wasn't too big an upset, but the manner of it was truly a shocker for Stephanie especially.
Tiffany made one hell of a statement, showing that class truly is permanent and she certainly is someone that could truly win this where I'd say all bets were on Jenna Louise Coleman pre tournament.
While Stephanie has to pick herself up and forget this night, though I hate to say; she looked sloppy in that fight due to what seemed over confidence, if she does that again her tournament hopes will be gone!

Part 3: Jenna Louise Coleman vs Heidi Range This was a fight that saw Jenna head to hostile territory, the fans clearly didn't forget that she was the champion as Newcastle's hometown girl Cheryl Cole went for the title and she nearly stopped Cole from taking the title in the fight of the year.
She wanted to use this tournament to earn the rematch with Cheryl, standing in her way of that was Heidi Range, who in her own way is desperate to win this tournament.
Heidi is desperate I believe to get out the shadows of her stablemate Cheryl, getting the title shot after the tournament and ripping the title off of Cole someday might be her dream right now.
The fight itself; well to be frank it was Jenna who controlled the fight from start to finish, Heidi got moments early on to match up with Jenna.
But as the fight went on; Jenna used her natural hand speed to outwork the blonde, smacking her repeatedly across the face as she kept countering her.
That led to a right hook putting Heidi down for the count, giving the tournament favourite a leg up already on her hunt for the title and closer to redemption against Cheryl Cole.
For Heidi; she isn't one of the favourites it seems but can be a dangerous sleeper I think in this tournament, let's see if she can prove me right or if the tournament odds are correct.
The second set of fights head to Glasgow's Hydro Arena, with Lily Allen fighting Stephanie Davis, Heidi Range fighting Diana Korkunova and Tiffany Mulheron returning home to fight Jenna Louise Coleman, so keep watch for these fights in February.

Final Part: Yearly recap (April to June) We continue our recap of last year; starting with what turned out to be a very busy April, starting with the sad retirement of Hall of Famer Sabrina Washington, who lost to her bitter rival Catherine Tyldesley, meaning she was forcibly retired by the woman she came to most hate within the ring.
On a happily lighter note, the ACB had it's first card in several years, with 3 titles changing hands; Bonnie Seven took the flyweight title off Emily Browning, Mallory Jensen stunned Poppy Montgomery in only her second fight to lift the Lightweight title and Jesinta Campbell won the vacant welterweight title against Delta Goodrem.
It should also be noted that Miranda Kerr retained her bantamweight title on the same card, hinting at what a super year she was going to have.
Jenna Louise Coleman would continue her record breaking win streak in a single organization to 18 wins over Nikki Sanderson in a local Blackpool derby.
Before the same month Gal Gadot won the lightweight title in a somewhat stunning upset over the champ Malika Menard.
May would see the debut of Vera Brezhneva, who battered Gabrielle Cilmi and of course would start her on course for her grudge fight that started this year with her fellow Baltic state warrior Doda.
We also saw the first ever BBU bout in China, Ming Xi though couldn't give get home fans a reason to cheer as she lost to the girl whose nickname is Rocky, Rachel Barnes.
Other places that saw action that month was South Africa and the Barn from Emmerdale, "only in the BBU" I guess fits the billing right?
The biggest news in May was the BBU flyweight title fight between the champ Jenna Louise Coleman and Cheryl Cole, who'd come out on top between the two best fighters pound for pound in the BBU and maybe the world of celebrity boxing.
Cheryl Cole would come out on top in her home town and it may have been the moment that made 2017, seeing the battle tested Geordie finally rise to the top after so long, I know she was in tears of joy all that night in the back as me and the rest of the RV crew congratulated her on her success.
June was a quieter month, most of the big news coming at the PPV as Lea Seydoux and Gal Gadot retained their titles over game opposition.
The biggest news concerned Jenna Louise Coleman again! This time a heartbreaking loss to her biggest rival Ivana Baquero, both those girls don't seem able to have a bad match with each other.
So that's the end of the show, I hope as always it was a wonderful episode and we see you guys next week once again.
