Tom Hilton:Hello ladies and gentlemen; hopefully spring is finally here, though I keep getting people telling me that snow is coming back for Easter, I have proceeded to slap said people Seriously though the BBU has seen yet another action packed week of big fights from around the world, and the announcement of the BBU PPV fights for next Wednesday! It is the PPV where we start with a preview of the main event, where the lightweight title will be on the line with Sophie Turner looking to claim her first title against the champ Alessandra Ambrosio. Then we'll discuss the main event of Wednesdays London based card, Rita Ora and Rhian Sugden had some bad blood over comments made between both women a week ago, who came out on top though? Thirdly we discuss the international fight between Carla Ossa and Laura Barriales, two stunning models who of course want to be the best and it's fights like this that get you noticed, so who came out a star? Lastly; we will discuss Natalie Gumede and Georgia Salpa's fight, former stablemates looking to get back into the win column again after rough periods in their careers. So in other news; as stated the BBU PPV will be this Wednesday, the other big fight on that card sees a number 1 contendership bout between Petra Nemcova and her own stablemate Melissa Satta, the winner getting a shot at the welterweight champion Joan Smalls next month, that's on top of an action packed card! Other action from the past week saw Dua Lipa beat Elisabetta Canalis, the young singer looks like she could be a big player in the lightweight division for a long time. We also saw the debut of Raica Oliveira, who could be a big star in the lightweight division too, she beat Jennifer Lamiraqui in her debut in just 4 rounds, keep watch on this kid to make an impact. I also want to point out a result we forgot to mention on last weeks episode, Lucy Fallon battered Melissa Suffield in a battle of youngsters, Lucy laying down a big marker to other youngsters in the flyweight division.

Part 1: BBU lightweight title preview So the BBU PPV is next Wednesday and the main event see Alessandra Ambrosio defend her title for a third time against the Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner.
This is going to be very interesting as you have youth vs experience, power vs technique and both are undefeated in the BBU and British soil, so who is going to have the edge going into the fight?
Well let's look at the challenger Sophie first, she is still only 22! Yet she feels like she has been around forever with her sterling performances in the ring winning her a lot of fans and more importantly fights.
She is 9 and 3, knocking all her opponent's out in her career, with victims like Jessica Alba, FCBA hall of famer Jessica Biel and Anne Hathaway to name a few of the stars on her list, showing she can win the massive fights when needed too.
The champ Alessandra on the other hand is 15 years older at 37! Her record is actually a long larger even though she has actually boxed for one less year, though that is down to Sophie getting management later in her career, while Alessandra got management right away.
Her record is 22 wins and only 4 defeats! She also has a perfect 22 knockouts, she has beaten Gal Gadot twice, FCBA hall of famer Kaley Cuoco and Kelly Brook.
Physically Alessandra slightly is heavier by a pound or two, height wise she is half an inch taller, technique wise Alessandra will come head on looking to bully her opponent, Sophie will use her faster footwork and one of the best jabs in the game to win her first title.
So who am I going with? This is one of the toughest decisions I have had to make, normally I'd go the up and comer without a seconds thought, but Alessandra isn't exactly on her way out it seems, the question is though; can she outwork the younger fighter.
That is where I swing towards Sophie; Alessandra will need to dominate early to get control of the fight and finish early, the longer things go, the better things will look for Sophie.
But again this feels a coin flip; so this is definitely a fight that deserves to main event any card and I will be watching closely.

Part 2: Rita Ora vs Rhian SugdenIt's amazing how a few rude words can spark bad blood between two women, Rhian upset after her defeat to Daniella Sharp, she went on the attack against Rita and what started as simply business became a bit of a grudge fight. The fact the fight was in Rita's back yard of London didn't exactly help Rhian's chances of being cheered, with Rhian mocking the crowd. The fight itself saw Rhian try to bully Rita from the bell, with Rita needing to use her footwork to keep herself from being in real trouble. Rhian looked better in the early rounds due to those tactics as Rita had to react to her and not enforce her will on the stunning model. Things changed in round 3 as Rita used her movement to duck under a right and land an uppercut that rocked Rhian and allowed Rita to finally take control of the action. It would turn out that uppercuts would be what won the fight for Rita as Rhian couldn't keep Rita back, two uppercuts put Rhian onto her back and she was too dazed to do much then lay back while being counted out. Rita would then give Rhian a walk of shame, the noise in the crowd I have to say was ridiculously loud, well Rhian pissing the crowd off came back to bite her. That continues Rita unbeaten run in the BBU as she hunts for a title shot, plenty more work to go though to achieve those dreams, at least she seems to be getting work now though so keep watch on her. While Rhian probably should stick with JMD now in my opinion, she should get more work doing that and if she gets a few wins then she would certainly be in contention was the title. But judging by the comments after this fight; these two may get back at each other, just I guess they have other things on their mind for now so no hurry.

Part 3: Carla Ossa vs Laura Barriales This is part of what makes the BBU so special, the international flair we have here is astounding, this a fight between the Colombian Carla and the Spanish star Laura.
Carla came in undefeated and looking a good talent in her early fights, Laura while having a negative 1 win and 2 defeats on her name wasn't exactly overawed in said fights, so this was going to be fun to watch.
Especially as both didn't exactly mess around with bull insults, they were all business as they stepped into the ring and got on with business.
The early rounds saw both getting in some good moments, Laura using her hometown support to get on the front foot from the bell, Carla though would adapt each time and wrestle control before the round ended.
Things turn a stunning turn in round 3 as Carla found herself dumped onto her backside; she looked rightly pissed though wrongly at Laura as it was a mistake off herself that led her into trouble.
The knockdown seemed to waken Carla up as she stepped up a gear; becoming harder to hit and countering Laura, who seemed to be wasting energy to keep on top instead of thinking through what she was doing.
That proved to be Laura's downfall as Carla grew in strength, while the Spanish fighter waned as the rounds piled up against her.
Till round 7 saw Carla pull the trigger and blast out Laura to the body at first to open her up, then a left hook to the nose crumpled Laura to the canvas and ended her night.
Both came out the fight with plenty of questions needing to be asked, Laura doesn't seem to have the stamina to sustain her pushes in fights to win, instead she is getting beaten in later rounds and that smells of gatekeeper at best and a low ranked one at that unless things change.
Meanwhile Carla has a good rep due to being unbeaten, the problem is being unbeaten is all well and good but not getting fights is bad, she has shown gaps in her defence that more skillful fighters will pick at, so while she has a good base to start from.
She needs to hit the gym hard and honestly right now just fight anyone at a decent standard she can find to build up her own stamina and experience, hopefully learn tricks of the trade to stand up to the bigger fish in the division.
I do like both girls as they have the right attitude but I implore both to hit the gym harder and I know it's hard as a free agent, but get more fights; especially Carla as I'd hate her to be a what if type of fighter.

Final part: Natalie Gumede vs Georgia Salpa To give a quick background to this fight; both women are former stablemates, so there was plenty of respect between them but also pride on the line as no one likes to lose to a former colleague in any arena of competition.
Once you add in that Marti's Maulers owner has been making major cuts and adding plenty of fresh faces to his stable that Natalie has to be very worried right now, a win here would lift that worry away.
It seemed that motivation was what got Natalie out her corner quickly and into gear quicker then Georgia, who seemed happy to try and measure up her former stablemate then go full pelt.
But ironically this week; round 3 again saw things change, drastically in this fight as a left hook opened a cut above Natalie's eye.
That was something Natalie never recovered from as Georgia it has to be said cruelly targeted the eye and while it seemed she could have finished off Natalie from round 5 onwards, the beating was belonged till round 7 when Natalie was a bloody mess down the right side of her face and her eye was shut.
It may have simply been respect why Georgia didn't finish her off earlier as she lifted Natalie's arm up to the crowd to show respect for her toughness.
But I have to ask what was the Maulers corner team doing? Zaraah Abrahams was in her corner and seemed lost to be frank, she should have stopped the fight to save Natalie or patched up the eye better, which was in a terrible state at the end.
So while it isn't my business and I hope this doesn't stop any future interviews with their fighters and with the owner himself.
It has to be said that during these changes they are making, they need a real coach to guide their fighters, either manager Tamzin Outhwaite has to step up to do that role or maybe search for someone whose either been in the ring in the BBU or an outside source who knows what they are doing, right now I don't see this working.
On Georgia; she has had a rough time of things lately, hopefully from her stand point this win will kick her arse into gear to make a run for the gold, she has the talent but needs to use it!
That's today's show, hopefully you guys had fun, we will be back next Sunday with all the latest news from the BBU.
