Part 1: BBU flyweight title preview So this coming Friday Cheryl Cole will be defending her flyweight title against the Agents of Shield actress Elizabeth Henstridge in Cheryl's hometown of Newcastle.
OK so let's go over the fighters; first the challenger, Elizabeth as stated is an actress from Sheffield who happened to play Simmons in Agents of Shield.
She is 30 years old, stands 5'4 and holds a record of 17 wins, all by knockout and only 3 defeats, she is undefeated in the BBU with 3 wins.
Cheryl of course is famous for her stint in Girls Aloud and her solo career, she is from Newcastle and this will be her third defence of the title since she dethroned Jenna Louise Coleman to become the champ and the best pound for pound fighter in the BBU.
She is 35 years old now and an inch smaller then Liz at 5'3, her record is 43 wins, 38 by knockout and 23 defeats, her BBU record is 21 wins, 16 by knockout and 18 defeats.
Fight wise; both have similar styles, they use the jab a lot and have good defences, the difference lies in their aggressive levels, Elizabeth likes to stick more to the outside till she hurts an opponent, while Cheryl is like a pitbull once she gets inside, she gnaws away till her opponent collapses at her feet.
Physically you'd say Elizabeth has the advantage, you'd say she will be fast slightly and has the reach to go along with it.
The experience advantage though could be key, Cheryl has twice the fights of the challenger and the fact it is in her backyard so to speak, the champion is far from at a disadvantage.
So who will win; honestly this is a coin toss fight, if Elizabeth focuses on the fight and not what is going on around her in the lions den, you'd put money on that she would take the gold.
If she let's the occasion get to her; well it will be a short night for her as Cheryl will chew her up and spit her out to the delight of the fans and the Lioness stable.

Part 2: Lily Allen vs Jenna Louise Coleman When the Contender 6 tournament was announced, I don't think I am the only one that was looking forwards to this fight, the history these two have has led to some true hatred here.
OK quick back story; these two were once stablemates, with Jenna a part of the Fight Club UK stable that Lily still resides in, there was a lot of ill feeling seemingly from those days that spilled over the first time these two fought.
That title fight was 2 years ago now, but still gets talked about as it was a hell of a fight, with Jenna knocking out Lily after being pushed around by the singer through good parts of the fight.
Well that bad blood seems to have just kept on growing as time has went by, this was shown in the build up and certainly in the fight as Lily went straight for Jenna without worrying about much defence early.
Jenna looked a little shocked at the straight forward aggression from Lily, forcing her to fight off the back foot as frankly Lily dominated the action with her power punches.
That's not to say Jenna wasn't having success; she is a legend for a reason as she used great head movement and pinpoint punches to start to get back into the fight.
Round 4 though saw Lily get the crowd standing for her, a vicious left hook put down Jenna, with the former champion beating the count but nursing bloody lips.
Lily though couldn't find the off switch; even as she continued to dominate the center of the ring and most of the action, Jenna showed her resilience to come back at the singer and bloody her nose with several of those accurate straights.
Round 8 saw the end to the contest, Lily had been looking more desperate as frustration was clearly setting in, letting Jenna counter her with some real venomous looking punches that led to an uppercut finishing the job.
Afterwards Jenna seemed to offer an olive branch to Lily; who swatted it aside, expect more fights between these two women as this rivalry is far from over between them.
Jenna will of course be happy with the win; I'd recommend fighters on the way up in their careers watch this fight as Jenna fought her way out of a terrible spot to win in the big fights, that's what champions do, that's what the best of the best do.
While Lily will go back to the drawing board; her biggest issue of course was her temper, if she had kept to the gameplan of pressuring Jenna the right way, this whole discussion would be different.
But it of course isn't and if Lily plans on winning any future rematch between these two, she will need to get Jenna out of her head and act as if she were fighting anyone else, don't write Lily off to get back on the saddle to ride back to the top again soon.

Part 3: Stephanie Davis vs Diana Korkunova At the start of the Contenders 6 tournament, both of these women were seen as the future of the division, so it was interesting to see both step up in class in the tournament, would either sink or swim is the question everyone asked.
Well as of now; one is swimming along safely, while Jaws seems to have taken the other out judging by how bad of a tournament they are having.
Coming into this fight, Diana had won one fight and loss twice in the tournament, while Stephanie came into the tournament undefeated and now hasn't won a fight in the 3 she has had.
The fight itself saw Stephanie trying to right her wrongs so far, trying to bully Diana back as the fighters slugged it out, which is Stephanie's strength to work on the inside.
But as the fight went on; Diana started to get things under her control as she forced the action at range, both looking great as they went back and forth.
It was a good fight till Stephanie made a mistake in the sixth, Diana thundered an uppercut off her chin to put Steph onto her back and once again she lost.
Let's start with Stephanie before I get to Diana, I honestly can't tell you what has went wrong with Stephanie, she started her career like a house on fire and all I can guess is that she has been pushed too quickly into this level.
She did have a year off due to personal issues, so maybe that time off did more damage then was first realised, at 23 she has a long time to get back into the thick of things.
Now to Diana; this was a good win for her, if you look at her record in the tournament of 2 wins and 2 defeats, you could argue the rookie of last year is in the same place she was last year.
But I'd say she has improved as a fighter; she pushed Jenna Louise Coleman hard in their fight and has looked far from out of place, so I would say this has been a success but can she beat Tiffany Mulheron in the final bout of the tournament?

Final Part: Tiffany Mulheron vs Heidi Range This was a fight I bet at the start of the contender 6 tournament when the fighters were announced that you thought wouldn't have any baring really on winning the tournament, how funny things can be.
Tiffany just needed 1 win to outright win the tournament as her head to head record was superior to her nearest rivals, while Heidi had one goal; play spoiler to Tiffany's dreams.
The fighters both had point to prove and it showed in the early action, Tiffany bossing the outside action but Heidi showed she could be dangerous on the inside.
Something she proved further when she shocked everyone in the arena by putting Tiffany as she banged away to the inside, an uppercut putting the bigger fighter on her backside.
Heidi looked gleeful as she kept on the attack; Tiffany looked in real trouble as she had to back up under the assault from the ultra aggressive Scouser.
But Tiffany dug down to make a comeback; clearly surprising Heidi as they begun slugging it out, a right across the left eye of Range seemed to turn things around as Heidi was blinking hard from that eye.
A right hook in the sixth put Heidi down to the canvas in a stunning turn of events, Heidi showed her toughness to pull herself up to beat the count.
The next round saw Tiffany finish Heidi with a full on beating it has to be said, Heidi collapsing down with her face looking a right mess after she looked so strong in the early rounds.
So Tiffany has won the Contenders 6 tournament, meaning she is in line for the flyweight title in future, though she will be wanting to achieve a clean sweep as she fights Diana Korkunova in the final round of fights.
If I decide to do an award for comeback of the year, well I think people would be hard pressed to argue against Tiffany, I have called her the comeback kid for good reason; now can she push on to the big gold belt?
While Heidi was unlucky; after her surprise win against Stephanie Davis, she seems to have found some mojo back, meaning anyone who thought she was coming out this tournament as easy pickings may have to look elsewhere.
That's the end of today's show; I hope you guys enjoyed it and as always, thank you so much for taking the time to read these posts, hopefully we'll see you next Sunday.
