Tom Hilton: Hello ladies and gentlemen; well another packed week as the BBU PPV landed and what a loaded PPV that was, fitting of it's night of champions tag.
Today's show begins by discussing the main event of the PPV, the welterweight title was up for grabs as two undefeated stars fought for it, could Petra Nemcova claim the gold off the champ Joan Smalls?
Then we discuss the BBU JMDD title fight between the challenger Alice Goodwin and the champion Hayley Atwell.
Third on today's show we talk about two of soap opera's stunning women did battle for the BBU bantamweight title, with Jennifer Metcalfe challenging Helen Flanagan.
Finally we talk about the return of Una Healy to the ring, she decided to fight the tough Vera Brezhneva in what was always going to have a lot of eyes on it due to the former champs return to the ring.
In other quick news; Sydney Cavern beat BBU hall of famer Samia Ghadie, the legend was quick enough or strong enough to match the youngster, who cruelly punished her late in the fight before finally knocking her out.

Part 1: BBU welterweight title fight Both the challenger Petra Nemcova and the champion Joan Smalls had an interesting route to this fight, what with Petra needing to defeat her own stablemate Melissa Satta, while Joan won a tournament to win the title by beating her best friend Jourdan Dunn.
That's if you don't count there other similarities; both of course are stunning, they are very physical in the ring as they both look for knockouts with real powerful hooks, so this had the makings of a top fight between them.
The only real difference is age; Petra is 9 years older then Joan, who kept pointing that out during the build up, with Petra just laughing that fact off and point out that she actually started later then Joan; yet has more wins in her own undefeated career, so it wasn't too friendly a exchange in the pre fight action.
When the fight got going; surprisingly it started off as a long range dual, with Joan leading the dance early and Petra taking control of it with her longer reach as the early rounds got going.
A mistake by Joan in round 3 though showed why the welterweights might be the most exciting division to watch, Petra caught her plum on the chin with a vicious right that knocked Joan to her knees against the ropes.
Petra for all her extra experience in having more fights, it can be argued Joan's fight have mostly been big matches and it showed as Petra looked to finish things off in the next round, instead it led to her being counter punched and her nose was bleeding at the end of the round.
Round 5 saw Petra start measuring up Joan again and had her reeling around the ring as those power shots looked like the title was going to the Czech fighter.
But Joan showed her toughness to keep going, leading Petra to start running out of stream, all the energy she spent trying to finish Joan was actually starting to bite her on her arse.
With Round 7 seeing Joan give Petra a taste of her raw power, hooks smacking her face side to side as the champion bullied her backwards, till Joan knocked Petra to her back, the challenger not able to get up meaning Joan kept the big gold belt and proved any nighsayers why she is the champion.
Petra deserves all the credit in the world for pushing Joan so hard, this is a woman I believe will win the gold before she retires, though Melissa Satta might try to use this result to shove Petra to the back of the queue now.
While Joan is probably nursing her wounds and hugging the title this morning; though as the welterweight division is growing, she has to be looking behind herself though at the girls who will happily punch her lights out for the gold belt.

Part 2: BBU JMDD title fightSince Alice Goodwin returned to BBU action as part of a Chimera crossover project, she has become the talk of locker rooms in the league, dismantling the former JMDD champion Holly Willoughby and Jessie J does that for you. But Hayley also has a big legacy; the fact both women love to scrap helped to sell this fight as I'll admit, of all the fights on the card, this was the one I was most hyped for. Though the build up saw Hayley surprisingly her disrespect Alice, well that may have been the dumbest thing in her career as Alice come out swinging at the start of the fight, bullying the stunned Hayley back around the ring. Hayley would pay Alice back in the next round; Alice trying to rush the champion and it led to her punishing the jugs of the model by smacking them with hooks. Back and forth went the girls in the middle rounds, with Alice looking the more in control due to her power punches, keeping Hayley near the ropes as they worked hard. Round 4 though saw fans including myself gasp, late in the round; Hayley caught Alice flush on her chin and down went the model to her back, Alice beat the count at 9 and was lucky to survive the round. She wasn't lucky the next round; Hayley blasting her with three real power punches that put Alice down and out, meaning Hayley keeps her title. Alice I hope isn't too down beat, this was her first shot at title glory and she made too many mistakes here, if she removes them and with her power, she will win gold in my eyes, whether here or the FCBA. Hayley though continues to prove herself at this level after struggling to break into the elite, it seemed to be a confidence thing and now that has been sorted, this woman is dangerous in my eyes to adding the lightweight title in future, though that appears to depend on Alessandra Ambrosio losing the title right now. There seemed to be a lot of bad blood I should point out between Alice and Hayley, so a rematch between these two can't be ruled out, I just hope I get a VIP seat for it.

Part 3: BBU bantamweight title fight This was a fight that I think people have been wanting for awhile; two of the most stunning soap stars fighting for the bantamweight title to add some spice to what was a hot tempered build up.
Helen in some peoples eye's; including mine to be frank, had won the title off the dominant Lea Seydoux, who looked like she could go on a long run with the gold, Helen proved that to be false but many saw it as a fluke, something Jennifer kept bringing up in the build up.
The tempers were already frayed if press releases were to be believed before the press conference, with Helen making comments on how Jennifer lost her ex to her co star Samia and how she would have bedded whatever his name was (I'm not interested in some ice dancer) if she had went against Jen sooner.
That led in many peoples eyes to the brawl on stage after more insults were hurled at each other, hair littered part of the stage where they started tugging the others hair out when they were not trading slaps.
The fight itself was tense; both went in with a gameplan but kept falling in tight to brawl it out in the early rounds, which suited Helen a lot more then the taller Jennifer.
But a right hook to the temple of Helen shook her up enough to put her down to her backside, I can tell you from ringside that the look Jennifer gave her was one that she wanted to rip her gloves off and finish it then and there.
It caused Helen to be struck more behind her gloves, with Jennifer stalking her with headhunting punches, which even when Helen could get inside; Jennifer kept banging her fists into the face of the champ to knock her back.
Helen found a way back into the fight by targeting the body of the big brunette, forcing her way to the inside time and again to push Jennifer back.
Round 7 a piercing right to the body put Jennifer down to her knees, she was coughing as she was badly winded and was counted out.
Afterwards the champion Helen went over board for me as she shoved Nicole Ritchie away from her fighter and dragged Jennifer to the ring centre and facesat her to humiliate her, it felt like it was going too far.
The biggest talking point was when Nadia Forde came out; she won the bantamweight contenders tournament and it is clear her and Helen want a piece of each other badly, so I can't wait for them to return.
Jennifer will most likely be back in the Hollyoaks tournament if rumours of it returning are true, she will most likely be looking to prove herself in there, so her rivals in that better watch out for her.

Final Part: Una Healy vs Vera Brezhneva The return of Una Healy was always going to be a major talking point, the last time she fought was when she lost the BBU bantamweight title to Lea Seydoux.
Picking Vera Brezhneva as her first opponent back was certainly an interesting pick, Vera has been one of the most impressive debuts in a while in the BBU, only Doda was able to stop her from going 6 and 0.
It has to be said as the fight begun; Una hadn't looked like she had missed a step the way she took the fight to Vera from the off, throwing hooks as she looked to end things early.
That was never going to last long though as Vera found her way back into the fight, using counter punches to get some momentum.
Of all the fights on the card, this was by far the most back and forth as each fighter would gain control and lose it again as they adapted to the others attacks.
Till Vera surprised Una by putting her down in the 4th! Vera showing why she is seen as such a big threat as Una did beat the count, but was struck on the retreat the rest of that round.
Round 5 saw Vera finish the job off as she battered Una into the canvas and that meant that Una's return became a disappointing one.
Well Vera has certainly put the cat amongst the pigeons with this result; she has to be right in the BBU bantamweight title picture right now but I hear that she has some big plans for her next few fights, so watch this space on that front.
Now onto Una; before I hear the doom and gloomers, Una is far from done, was it smart to pick Vera after a year of ring rust, no as it turned out.
But I feel once she gets her fighting legs back under her; the most fearsome fighter in the bantamweight division may return to prominence, only big issue she has is that the bantamweight division is now stocked full of tough talent, so this return has many minefields to get through to return to the title.
That's today's show folks! I hope you all enjoyed it and thank you so much for taking the time to read these posts, I hope to see you next Sunday for the next edition.
