part 1: Melissa Suffield vs Stephanie Davis These two girls are very similar; I hear in personality and in the ring both started their careers well but have slowed right down to a halt.
Now both women have very average records, so this was a fight both were hoping would be the start of something better for them.
Which played into why both held back at the start, neither wanting to make a mistake as they started off by trading single punches.
The second round saw things start to get wild, Melissa rammed her head clearly on purpose into the chin of Stephanie, earning herself a point deduction for her moment of stupidity.
That moment fired both women up to trade stiffer shots, a cut above Melissa's eye was revenge for the headbutt, with Stephanie's lips bleeding.
Melissa was put down by a hard combo in the fifth round, with Stephanie looking her old self again as she simply outboxed her rival from that point on.
The fight coming to an end in round 8 as Melissa went down again, showing toughness to stand but thankfully the referee stepped in to stop the fight as clearly Melissa was finished.
I won't go into the post fight antics Stephanie treated Melissa too, as always I'll focus on the boxing part of the fight.
Stephanie looked tentative at first but overcame it to look mighty impressive by the end, the big question of course being can she keep this up in future or will we see her collapse again at the first sign of trouble.
While Melissa continues to look good in spells, the headbutt was stupid off her, so I am not overly sad she lost from that point.
She'll need to listen more closely to Kara Tointon, who has pedigree to call upon from her career, she is too much a punched and doesn't have much of the boxing skills sad to say.

Part 2: Jessica Clements vs Scarlett Leithold I have to give the Sirens stable that they do great things for the BBU by scouting out young talent for the organization, this fight being an example of that.
While I don't know the two women, I have to say at the weigh in they both look very physically fit, so these two should be able to adapt to the riggers of a boxing career over the long term.
Jessica has one win from her debut fight, that was against fellow rookie Baskin Champion in what was a great performance, though you could question if Baskin really tested her with her more swing and hope approach to the sport.
But you have to give the younger Scarlett that she has the guts to get into the face of her opponents in the build up to this fight, she didn't care one bit that her opponent had already fought in the BBU.
If Jessica expect this to be easy then boy did she make a mistake, Scarlett showed impressive foot and hand speed to take control of the fight early on.
It took three rounds for Jessica to catch up on what was in front of her, landing a right across the mouth of Scarlett to open her up for more punishing punches.
That turning point was what changed the fight, Jessica had hurt Scarlett and now exacted vengeance on her by her cutting the ring off, Scarlett couldn't escape the punches that worked her body, opening her up to a knockdown right hook.
In the fifth round Jessica finished things with a right hook that sent Scarlett down to the canvas like a sack of spuds.
While Jessica started badly! It has to be said that she adapted well to find an opening, which she exploited to kill off the hopes of a successful debut for Scarlett.
Who looked impressive when on the move, she allowed herself to get drawn into a slugfest though, proving that she is certainly not a puncher.
I'd love to see Scarlett fight Baskin now, both have lost to Jessica so they have similar stories to tell going into that.
While I believe we maybe seeing a future breakout star of this year, Jessica looks to have some good tools, though she needs to continue with these learning fights, Rome wasn't built in a day, she might have that championship quality though.

Part 3: Laura Whitmore vs Sarah Cummings OK so I have to say first that me and Denise Van Outen are friendly, with her possibly being Sarah's next opponent, I will try not to be bias here against her.
In her way on her debut was Laura Whitmore, someone admittedly I thought wasn't going to show much more then the jobber status she started with.
But Laura has started to show that she does have some skills, though this was a winnable fight in my opinion for the rookie.
The opening round saw Laura apply pressure to Sarah, making her cover up and look a little unsure, with her stiff jabs part of the improvement of the Irish fighter.
But Sarah showed off what she has been doing in training, good mobility allowed her to stay out of trouble, while countering her way into the fight.
Ending up putting Laura down in the third round, it was a wild hook from Laura that opened her up to one from her opponent.
But that seemed to fire up Laura, who started to look more focused with her punches, catching Sarah with more measuring punches, then adding more power punches to knock the Aussie backwards.
Leading to an uppercut in round six putting Sarah on her backside, I'll give her credit for getting up, the experience of Laura showed though as she came forwards to force the referee to step in as Sarah had a cut above her eye and was wobbling under the punches coming her way.
Laura has weaknesses as this fight showed, she needs to stop with the wild swings, when she focuses and uses her skills, she does show promise, in the end her experience at finishing fights got her over the line.
Sarah meanwhile looks good on the move, if you can press her onto the ropes though she looked a little deer in headlights, something you either learn quickly to get out of or end up as a punchbag the rest of your career.
I am sure Denise isn't too worried about fighting Sarah, though she will need to get in the face of Sarah from the off to make the Gold & Yellow magazine interviewer worry.

Final Part: Emily Scott vs Sara Carbonero Its funny how one loss can ruin momentum; both these woman have looked good since their debuts, a loss in each of their last fights though seems to have placed question marks around them as they came into this fight.
Sara didn't seem happy to be fighting Emily, a real insult since I'd argue both were very similar in the title hunt, with neither at the top of that list, more in the second tier of challengers.
Emily didn't seem top bothered; she told me she'd let her boxing do the talking in the build up to the fight, which sounds impressive.
Problem was that Sara came out the gates quickly, like a buzzsaw she cut through the defences of the Australian fighter to rock her around the ring.
A right cross put Emily down in the second to add to the misery, with admittedly me and those around me wondering what the hell was going on.
The third saw Emily take a knee as she found herself under fire once again, this proving to be a disaster as Sara watched on keen to batter her opponent into next week.
Thankfully the towel was thrown in the fourth round, ending an absolute shambles for the Wildetime boxing stable, who must have been wondering where the real Emily was!
Sara looked mighty impressive here, though those questions around Emily have gotten bigger, Sara came there to make a statement, boy did she ever.
I still see her being a few fights away from being in the title hunt, unless she defeats someone the level of an Una Healy, which I don't see happening.
While Emily needs to go back to the drawing board, previously she has looked impressive but maybe the lack of regular fights may have caught up to her for stepping up in level.
The big worry for me concerning her is how will this fight effect her, this was simply a diabolical performance, will it play on her mind next time she steps into a ring?
That's all we have time for folks! Thank you to everyone who took the time to read these posts, I hope they are a bit of fun on a cold Sunday, with the next real view coming up next Sunday.
