Part 1: Ming Xi vs Raica Oliveira Both these fighters have started slowly in their careers; with Ming finally winning on her fourth attempt, while Raica looked impressive on her debut till Pia Miller stopped her in her second fight.
This was a big fight already for both women so early in their careers, a loss would make the questions around them grow even bigger, especially for Ming as it was in her home country.
At the bell the questions begun to form for Ming; she was taking punches too easily through an open guard, with Raica sticking to jabbing her way inside to work away.
Raica kept the pressure on Ming; showing off some good power to mark up the Chinese fighter, who just couldn't seem to find an answer to get into the fight.
Till the third round saw Ming come to life; surprising Raica with her punches catching the Brazilian across her nose, the accuracy of Xi's punches to keep hitting her on it till she put Raica down was great to see if you are a fan of hers.
Leading to the fourth round where Ming finished things off by forcing the referee to step in, Raica had been put down again and Ming was ruthless there after to batter her badly.
Ming showed an edge to win this; something that is pleasing to see, except she needs to improve her defence, she took too many punches that against a better fighter will end up in misery.
While Raica needs to get a better coach, she showed flashes where she could be something good in the ring, the lack of a defence and possibly punch resistance though is a major issue.
So I hate to say it but I can't see either current version of these two getting to the top, they need to improve drastically to achieve what they want.

Part 2: Yasmin Verheijen vs Rachael Finch It's always fun to see two good young fighters duke it out; while neither of these two is yet in that title hunt bracket in the lightweight division, there has seemed to have been potential shown in previous fights.
Yasmin has shown good boxing skills and while she has had mixed results, with the backing of the Lioness stable she always has a chance to fix her issues on her way up the rankings.
Rachel meanwhile has that dangerous floater tag for a reason, she has good power behind her punches to go with good skills.
Hence why this fight excited me even before the first punch, the opening round was mostly Yasmin! She came out the gates quickly to push her opponent around the ring.
Rachel came back hard in round 2; landing some vicious hooks that landed a little too cleanly for mine and Lioness coach Mel B's liking.
This became a heated back and forth clash, Yasmin went down in the fifth; getting up to beat the count she repaid Rachel for it with a low blow, one I don't know if it was accidental or not, the referee didn't see it though making me wonder if it was one of the blind ones.
It took till the sixth round for Yasmin to take real control of the action, the nose of Rachel taking a pounding that would bring tears to anyone, it gave Yasmin more openings which she used to punish her opponent.
Though it took two attempts in the seventh for Yasmin to finish the job off, Rachel showed her toughness to beat the count the first time, she was definitely done for the second count though.
Yasmin has big plans it seems going by her post fight interview; Hailey Clauson will be a tough test, a fellow youngster I feel has great potential, though she is someone who straddles the light and welter weight limit, at lightweight she has dangerous power.
She also wants a crack at the lightweight champion Alessandra Ambrosio, someone I bet who will be watching the rise of Yasmin closely as she has youngsters Sophie Turner and Dua Lipa.
Meanwhile Rachel looks to have a date with Jessica Michibata, who is a good test as well, Jessica is a similar mould to Yasmin, so Rachel better hope she learned from this fight or it could be a night kissing the canvas again.

Part 3: Fiona Wade vs Maisie Williams This was clash of different ages to say the least, eighteen years was the difference as Maisie was the much younger of the two at 21.
Both have big goals it seems this year; Maisie from times I've spoken to her wants to build herself into an elite fighter by at least the end of the year.
While Fiona doesn't believe she has much time to achieve something major in her career, she clearly hoped that this was the beginning of a run towards the gold.
They both came into the fight looking serious, with the early action seeing both not wanting to make a mistake in the opening round.
But Fiona showed off some wily tricks, using little shoves to keep Maisie off balance, keeping her herded towards the ropes to stop her being able to use her speed.
Maisie found ways to counter Fiona as the fight went on, with Fiona becoming frustrated as the action continued on, as she kept missing more and more.
Till in round 6 Maisie caught her out with three nasty looking shots that put Fiona out for the count to the delight of her fans.
Fiona it has to be said is showing for the most part that age isn't too bad big a factor against her, she has the smarts to upset fighters, so don't expect Fiona to be overawed by her future opponents.
While Maisie seems intent on taking on Emilia Clarke in a third fight, while she has Stella Hudgens to contend with on the FCBA 20th Anniversary PPV at the end of the month, so she clearly is after big things this year as she says.

Final Part: Ones to watch (bantamweights) We move onto the bantamweights in our run of articles on which fighters to watch this year, with three fighters in our eyes that could do major things this year.
First up is someone who could become a champion sooner then later, Shona McGraty is still only 27 but has been boxing since she was 20.
She lost to Lacey Turner last year but has shown what she can do since, so much so that she has a date with Helen George, the winner of that getting a shot at Doda for the gold at this months PPV.
That'll be a real powerhouse exchange; with my money being on Shona winning that one, though Doda might prove too much at this stage, she is looking to start the year great and will hopefully continue throughout it.
Another person I feel is right in the mix for gold is Olympia Valance, she is 26 years old and already has scalps like Lacey Turner and Michelle Rodriguez.
She is 9 and 0 in the ring since debuting in 2016, with reach over most bantamweights being the thing that has helped her out in those fights.
The fact is that right now she can only keep watching from the outside on what's happening in the bantamweight title race, keep focusing on winning decent level fights so she is ready to take the biggest step up in her career to that title level.
This one might come as a surprise due to her age at 31 years old, but Vicky Pattison has shown in the past a great motor to go the distance before, while she has great skills too.
The issue is down to her maybe not being the most dedicated to boxing, she needs to get more action but if she can, she can definitely get into the title picture.
I have said in the past that the flyweight division is the most competitive, with other fighters like Vera Brezhneva, Lacey Turner, Una Healy and Lea Seydoux to name just a few, this is quickly taking the mantle from the flyweights.
That's all we have time for this week; I hope you has fun, thank you for reading these posts and we hope to see you next Sunday for the next episode.
