“Michelle’s like a big thing over here in the UK, isn’t she?” Diana smiling to reporters at the table before their big fight. “I’m eager to put myself to bigger and better tests, and Keegan’s going to make a challenging opponent to beat on my resume.”
Korkunova putting herself through the baptism of fire here by going through a couple of gatekeepers on her way to the top of the division. And not like she’s looking to claim the belt, however. “Not at the moment,” she continues with a pixie-grin. “I wouldn’t want to steal the champion’s thunder. Right now all I’m focused on is getting better in there.”
Michelle on the other hand has been through the title hunt multiple times, the British starlet still looking fantastic as she flashes a smile at reporters when it’s her turn at the mic. “Diana’s cute, but I see through that little act. All these girls coming through here thinking they can treat us with disrespect. Well, I’m gonna show her who’s who tonight.”
Girls face off for the cameras once the reporters have had their field day of pictures, and the once friendly atmosphere has quickly dipped into tension and suspense as to how they’ll act once they get in close in each other’s face. Keegan is surprisingly the one smiling cheekily at the podium, whereas Diana not sure what to make of her latest ‘friend’, keeping her expression steely and determined to knock that fake smile off.
In the ring, Diana in her a dark maroon bra and panties set, donning black gloves and hair tied into a short ponytail bun, whereas Michell is in a silky black set herself, white gloves on either hand as she lets her raven hair fall loose around shoulders. HERE we go with ten rounds of Bantamweight action!
ROUND 1:
Michelle Keegan having fought the likes of Emma Watson, Lily Collins and the like, establishing her experience early on in the fight by taking the initiative to hound Diana from afar. Korkunova struggling to deal with such a torrent of jabs so good and so early, lets out intermittent yelps as the punches score off her cheek and chin. Keegan not letting up the pressure, continues to flick combos that are gradually giving her a wide round by the end of it. Only in the final minute does Diana rally and blast a couple of punches right back, tagging the side of her body and then jamming a flurry back into Keegan’s lips. Overall, still lacking in terms of commitment, and Korkunova is going to have a lot of catching up to do going into the next round.
ROUND 2:
Diana still having issues at mid to long range, especially when dealing with Michelle’s long jab. The Brit starlet controlling her with relative ease, simply firing away at the head anytime Korkunova tries to close the distance. Diana still afraid of getting punched in the face, and honestly, who wouldn’t be? But this hesitation is about to cost her yet another round by allowing Keegan to be only one who’s landing punches consistently. Diana still stubbornly charging in even into the third minute, eats another one-two to the lips but at least manages to snag some fists into the body in the final seconds.
ROUND 3:
First minute of the third and it’s still downhill for the poor Siren, who honestly needs to chill the fuck out and not let Keegan take control of her reins. Trainer Henry Carvill shouting at his girl from the corner best he can, but there’s only so much one can do once your charge has entered the fighting ring herself. Diana gets head-hunted some more and her nose is beginning to turn a bright shade of pink, actually gets sent packing backwards when the hits get too much to handle. Keegan coming in after her, continuing the barrage, but Diana finally awakens to her senses, scoots away and establishes distance for the remainder of the round. Last minute sees Keegan not willing to give up, still choosing to come in swinging, but this time is unable to catch the more agile girl. Diana adds a further pause to the proceedings when she scores punches off of the Brit’s chest puh puh, like hitting the pause button as Michelle covers up immediately and starts squealing in pain. Well, that certainly did the trick, but now Keegan looks even more pissed off than before!
ROUND 4:
Both women now out for blood as the opening minute shows: Michelle all out rushing her opponent and Diana sidestepping away, expecting the charge. Michelle’s overhand hook sails WAY off target, gets her face slammed in when Diana appears at her side and rotates the head to one side left, then another landing in quick succession that blasts her back the other way. Michelle groaning, covering up the head, but eats more leather to the belly as Diana simply switches targets and continues firing away. The girls end up in a brutal punchfest in the middle of the ropes when Michelle doesn’t retreat on instinct, and instead buries her own fists into Diana’s sides. Referee has to separate the clinch that goes on a tad too long, but it’s no doubt in anyone’s mind that Diana’s comeback is secured this round.
ROUND 5:
Promising comeback from Korkunova that’s unfurling in the first minute, when the smallish Siren comes sailing forward with renewed energy and drive. Her turn to pound on Michelle’s guard, seeking the face and head but content with scoring straight punches off the boobs and body. Michelle turtling up, gritting her teeth and looking for an opening - it comes suddenly when Diana pulls back for another power hook set-up. Keegan snaps her own jabs into the girl’s nostrils, one two three that send her reeling backwards in a sudden daze, as her hook sails off target. Another upwards swing from Keegan that lands firmly on the poor girl’s chin - Diana’s head almost ROCKED off it hinges - she goes flying backwards before crumpling down in a brutal KNOCKDOWN!
Good lord - Keegan certainly packing some power behind that lithe frame of hers! Brit girl backing her words up and certainly proving them with this mini-victory. But Diana’s already doing her best to get back off her back, wincing back tears as she struggles to shake the pain from that throbbing jawline. Keegan surveying the damage from her own corner, smirking at every ounce of effort that she assumes is futile, which then turns into a look of hatred when Diana succeeds in getting back up to her feet in time for tea!
Diana looking shaken but not stirred just yet, huffing on the top rope and wondering how she can survive another five rounds in this state of pain! Bell rings to resume and Michelle flying back at her prey, with Korkunova turtling up and simply trying to weather the storm. Referee has to jump in to shield her from Keegan’s relentless attacks, even after the bell has rung to indicate the round’s over!
ROUND 6:
Michelle still seething in her own corner at her failure to put Diana away for good last round. It looks like she hasn’t lost any of that enthusiasm in the first minute, however, rushing forward with that erroneous assumption that Diana’s on her last legs. Korkunova grunting as the Brit crashes into her like a head-on collision, but manages to keep her head low enough to only take a few punishing blows to the tummy and chest. Some clinching goes on for a good minute, with Keegan trying to shove Diana off and finally knock her down for good. But Diana managing to survive this into the third minute, starts fighting back with the best way she knows how to: long jabs slamming into the Brit girl’s chest as she comes at her again and again, the flurry of activity making her slack-jawed and eyes bulging as Diana exclusively targets all parts of her body from the neck down. Not sure who got away with murder in this case, but Diana still standing at the end, so perhaps there’s some hope for her to win this yet.
ROUND 7:
Tables have turned on the British warrior princess as the body punishment begins to take a toll on her. She’s executing big swings and hooks towards Diana’s head, but it’s hard to hit something that’s so fast. Diana making a quick recovery, never looked more focused as she swerves her torso back and forth to avoid the punishing blows, then resumes that nasty JMD action as she targets Michelle’s rack with lefts and rights in alternate fashion. Keegan wincing and moaning, arms forced to cover up her chest as she backs away into the ropes. HERE comes Diana, battering the Brit’s body some more with more straight hands, and why wouldn’t she, when Keegan not going anywhere as she’s pinned to the ropes by her fists. It’s almost a TKO victory right there, with the referee already hovering off to both girls’ side like a vulture, but Keegan smartly keeps her guard straight up and over her face, her body taking a rough beating but remaining alive and kicking by the end of three minutes.
ROUND 8:
All out action from both women as they charge at each other despite the mutual punishment already inflicted. Diana partially surprised when Keegan meets her in the center, has to absorb a rattling hook to her raised arm before the Brit tries her own tummy-pounding swings down south on her frame. Diana however socking punches into her head backwards with a one-two to the nose and lips, before repaying her in kind with a SNAP of an uppercut directed into the chin - AND DOWN MICHELLE GOES, crumpling into a heap at her feet in loud, throttled groan! OUCH! Michelle felled from that one hit to the head, now laying sprawled at Diana’s feet and it doesn’t look like she’s about to recover anytime soon! IS THIS IT??
Diana not sure how to react with Keegan on her chest below, gloves tugging at her ankles, mistaking her legs for the ring-posts. The Siren chooses to shake her fallen adversary off her before leaning back against the ropes for support and to catch some breath. Referee already mid-count and it doesn't look good for the British girl. But Michelle STILL defying the odds by pulling herself back up one leg at a time. Referee on the cusp of waving it over but Michelle recovers by 9.5!!
Now it's Diana's turn to look flabbergasted by her opponent's resilience, face still stunned when the bell rings to resume the final minute. But she doesn't stay that way for long… Michelle's body like target practice as she rushes in and unloads with lefts and rights. Soon enough, it becomes apparent that Keegan is a dead woman walking, just standing there and keeping her knees from buckling with all the punches smacking in! STILL the referee not doing his bloody job, and it's up to Korkunova to direct another right hook clean into her face! This time, Keegan goes down onto her side and STAYS there! It's finally over!
Official Decision: Diana Korkunova defeats Michelle Keegan via KO8!
AFTER:
A bloody brawl if we ever saw one, with both girls putting each other through hell and back. Diana in particular never been quite in a fight like this before… now resting against the ropes and just thanking the lucky stars that she came out on top.
Michelle being tended to by medics, her face and swaths of her body reddened by the abuse over eight rounds. Diana not even bothering to acknowledge her former foe lying sprawled on the canvas, gingerly allowing herself to be escorted from the ring by a trio of ring officials and Henry Carvill wrapping a towel over her shoulders.
A win is a win in the end, and Diana's climb into the upper echelons of this bloody business continues!
