Part 1: Nikki Sanderson vs the Perkins siblings This was certainly the most interesting spectacle to take part this week, like a circus act as Nikki decided she wanted to fight both the Perkin sisters in the same night back to back, either this was going to be genius or the dumbest move of her career.
So let's go over the contenders; Nikki is very experienced in the BBU, almost winning the title in several title fights where she has given champions a few bloody noses.
Now to her challengers I guess in Nikki's world, first up was big sister Mimi at 21 years old, she made her debut against Diana Korkunova only last month, a fools errant as Diana schooled the rookie.
Then would be her sister Leah; she did better against another somewhat rookie in the FCBA, the 19 year old got six rounds in against highly rated Kiernan Shipka before a massive right hook ended her night in defeat.
First up was Mimi to the plate, this was a great fight as the two went back and forth, Nikki held back somewhat as she was thinking about the second fight.
Nikki started to come on strong but as she started to swing hooks that gave Mimi the chance to counter punch, Nikki was busted up before being knocked down in the sixth round, her legs were too wobbly to get her back up and that was it for her.
Now at this point Nikki should have been taken to the back as she was clearly hurt, instead Leah came into the ring and the joke of a contest begun.
The opening rounds surprisingly were Nikki's, she took the fight to Leah; who cockily gave up real estate to the older fighter.
Once Leah opened up on her it didn't last much longer, Nikki was badly hurt and finished off in the fourth found by a hooking hook.
Like Vertonghen earlier in the week being allowed back onto the pitch when he shouldn't have been, Nikki shouldn't have been allowed to continue by the doctor, risking her health by allowing her to continue.
It looks like Nikki will take on Dannii Minogue next, that should be an interesting fight as Dannii has slowed down but has plenty of power to trouble the Blackpool girl.
While neither Mimi or Leah really proved much, Mimi beat a at best 50% focused Nikki, who was looking more to survive the fight then really win.
Leah beat a badly hurt Nikki; where she looked terrible in the opening two rounds before really landing on the beaten Nikki, I'll wait to pass judgement on both at a later date.

Part 2: Geri Halliwell vs Sylvie Meis This was seen as more a promotional fight for both their outside projects, maybe a hint that they are not thinking of a long career in the ring from now.
Geri spoke about the up coming Spice Girls concerts, I think the rumours of her and Mel B doing you know what probably has brought more interest in this fight, I wonder if Geri wanted to use Sylvie as a punchbag after that revelation.
Sylvie meanwhile has lingerie to sell it seems, well she could sell me a lot of things so her and Geri locking horns was certainly an interesting sight, Sylvie missed a trick by not wearing her lingerie in the ring.
Oh the fight! Sylvie at the bell rushed Geri, bashing her around the ring with that buzzsaw mentality she has, ripping shots into the body of the older fighter.
It took till the third round for Geri to warm up to the task, countering a wild right from Sylvie, opening a cut under the left eye of the Dutch model to give her a target.
After that it was nigh on all Geri; landing liver shots that seemed to drain the energy from Meis, a right hook in the sixth ended the night for Sylvie.
This was an impressive win for Geri, maybe the comeback in singing may have gave her confidence in her boxing that she has lacked for a while, I don't expect her to be in the elite contests but can win fights still.
Sylvie meanwhile maybe is going to struggle finding a win, she has a high octane style that is enjoyable to watch but her punch resistance seems to be going.
She is going to be on the next Black Eagles card so we can get another view of how good she is right now, I worry retirement might not be far away though.

Part 3: Shona McGraty vs Lyndsy Fonseca After losing her chance at the BBU bantamweight title, Shona was looking for a good performance to show it didn't dent her confidence.
Across the ring from her was the American Lyndsy, who doesn't normally fight in the BBU but does have experience here from her time learning the ropes, she has struggled to make a mark in the ring the past few years, none the less she is still a dangerous opponent.
In the build up they spoke about using the other for a stepping stone, knowing that they need wins for different reasons, this looked to be getting personal quickly as they kept throwing threats around about what they'd do to their opponent.
When the action started Shona started slow, Lyndsy showing the British crowd why she is a fearsome fighter when she is working on all cylinders.
The speed of Lyndsy mixed with her boxing ability was able to keep Shona subdued through the opening rounds, just picking away at the powerhouse who grew more frustrated as the rounds went on.
Something that has changed in the Marti's Maulers stable is their coaching staff, Jill Halfpenny gave Shona a lecture that seemed to do the trick as Shona started to box more to work her way to the inside.
Shona started to catch Lyndsy out more as she picked her shots better, the American got a taste of why Shona is one of the hardest hitters in the bantamweight division, knocking her around the ring.
The sixth round saw the end to the fight, a vicious barrage put Lyndsy down for the count with Shona looking very proud of this victory.
While not the biggest name in the game, this was an impressive victory for Shona, who has Alesha Dixon next; I wouldn't want to be Alesha right now how good Shona is looking.
Lyndsy on the other hand doesn't have the power to dominate the ring, she is a smooth fighter and a lot of rookies could learn off her technique, being feather fisted though is a big problem though.

Final Part: Jasmine Armfield vs Natalie Gumede The story to this fight goes back all the way to when the Marti's Maulers stable begun their massive changes that has seen them go from one of the oldest stables to the youngest.
Natalie was in the stable till management had if the full story is true saw Jasmine in several amateur soap star fights and dropped Natalie like a bad habit for the young blood.
Going into this fight Natalie was claiming they had made a mistake, more the choice had seemed to hurt her feelings then the actual decision to sack her, with Jasmine of course not happy with those comments.
It looked like Natalie had a game plan from the start figured out when the bell rung, she kept annoying Jasmine with her jab and her movement, not allowing Jasmine to get settled at any point.
Up to this point Jasmine has been knocking out cannon fodder for fun, this looked to be the first live opponent she had been in with, leading to Jasmine making mistakes by trying to rush her rival.
Once she settled down though and unload on Natalie, Jasmine showed that she has got fearsome power in those hands of her, rocking her rival around the ring.
Back and forth started to go the action near the end till Jasmine finished off Natalie with a brutal shot on her chin in the fifth, that was all she wrote.
This was a good win for Jasmine, it gave her a more competitive experience and she looked better for it, this is the level she should stick with for another two to three fights before maybe trying a more elite opponent.
Natalie I suspect will go back on the shelf for a bit, she hasn't the name value and has skills that can upset opponents, that's not a combination that helps free agents to be frank, only real hope she has is a stable signs her up.
That's all we have time for guys, hope you enjoyed these posts, I want to say thank you for taking the time to read them and hopefully we will see back for next Sundays episode.
