Part 1: BBU Italian lightweight title This is part of what makes the BBU special, we have nation titles with this fight being between two proud Italians, Elisbetta Canalis challenged Laura Pausini for the title.
These two have prior as Laura stopped Elisabetta in six rounds all the way back 2011, something Elisabetta told us in the build up had stuck with her, finally she could get revenge in Milan.
Laura meanwhile was confident, not giving much press but when she did, it was mostly to say that Elisabetta wouldn't be leaving with the title.
From the opening bell though it was clear one was too strong for her rival, Elisabetta is a different machine from their first meeting, she put down Laura in round one after pushing her around.
Laura gamely kept fighting it should be said, trying to create angles with her speed but Elisabetta would catch her and hurt the champ with blood running down her face.
Each round Laura was down till in the third when Elisabetta appeared to have broken the nose of Pausini, the fight was over with her knocked out.
I guess in Italian boxing it is like gladiatorial fighting, the fight should have ended before it was, Laura took punishment she didn't deserve too and it'll be interesting to see how she recovers from this fight.
While Elisabetta looked dominant; there was some tiredness on show after the final bell, I wonder if she purely did weighs and neglected to do cardio as she went for the brutal early knockout.
Of course it worked here but against better fighters they will frustrate, tire her out and knock her out as she is sucking in air, so she better get her running shoes on for training Monday.

Part 2: Charlotte Crosby vs Lucy Watson These two have been quiet in the ring lately, though of course you can see them on social media tanning most weeks. 😁
The past month they have been training hard for this fight, with Charlotte doing all the talking in the build up, telling us how she would hammer Lucy when that bell rung.
Lucy meanwhile kept quiet and focused on training for what was going to be a tough test for the woman who has had just one fight, beating Lucy Mecklenburgh over a year ago.
Both looked in great shape when they stepped into the ring, with the opening round being hard to gauge who won, they both caught the other with hard shots.
The second round was mostly Charlotte; she seemed to have the power advantage as she knocked Lucy around the ring, staying in close to bullying the Made in Chelsea star around.
In the third Lucy got caught trying to dart in and put on her backside, with Charlotte looking the better fighter through the middle rounds.
Lucy did change her tactics to adapt to the situation, letting Charlotte come at her before countering to smash the Mackem lass across her face.
Things turned in the sixth as a liver shot put Charlotte down to her knees, Charlotte looked badly hurt but gamely went out in the seventh, where she was stopped by another shot to the liver that forced her to be continued out.
It was a good fight but Charlotte must be disappointed, she controlled a good portion of the fight, maybe she took her eyes off the prize and might be going back to the drawing board.
Lucy meanwhile is trying to go through some tough competition for her level it seems, maybe fast track towards a title shot, of course it is high risk but high reward if of works.
It'll be interesting to see where both these women go, Lucy definitely wasn't respectful after the bell to Charlotte, so maybe a rematch is in their futures?

Part 3: Helen Skelton vs Michelle Heaton If you watched Sport Relief last year you would have seen the potential of Helen in the ring, of course boxing without the head gear is a different ball game.
In her debut fight she defeated Louise Redknapp, which isn't a hard prospect to say the least, this was a small step up making it look like Helen might be getting slowly built up.
Michelle has one decent win against Emma Bunton, but she has lost her other five fights, though it was against good opposition, sadly for Michelle from her point of view she wasn't built up at all as thrown in the deep end.
In the build up Michelle said she would push Helen from the opening bell, to her credit she did bother Helen with her straight forwards attack, not wanting to give the less experienced woman any time to breath.
The problem was after that opening round when Helen had an idea what was coming, things started to even out before Helen took control of the action with her speed over the veteran.
In the third Michelle got caught with a peach of hook combination, sending her down for a count of eight, she did enough to survive the round with her jab keeping Helen at range.
That didn't help her in the fourth as another combination ending in an uppercut sent Michelle down and out for the count this time to the delight of the crowd.
Helen looked technically sound; she has good hand speed though power is still suspect, I hear she has a good engine but hasn't had to show her stamina yet.
The big issue of course with Helen is her age, at thirty five she isn't exactly got a lot of time to become a top fighter, the fact she has only had two fights in two years (three if you count the Sport Relief bout) isn't good enough.
Michelle is a woman that sums up that issue in a different manner, Michelle is tough and has shown she can box, but barely getting a fight has been a major issue for her, coupled with the list of elite fighters she has faced not helping one bit.
Hopefully we will see both back in the ring as the year goes on, I don't know how likely that is though unless one of them gets signed up.

Final Part: interview with Melanie Sykes (They are sitting inside the Girls Friday office in Newcastle, with Melanie sitting behind her desk with Michelle Joy Phelps on the opposite side)
Michelle: I am honoured to say I have a woman who plays a massive part inside the Girls Friday stable, thank you Melanie for this interview.
Melanie: always happy to talk to you guys about the stable and boxing in the BBU.
Michelle: OK for our viewers; what role do you have inside the stable?
Melanie: My official title is assistant manager, but I do different things like keeping an eye inside the gym, I scout talent for our stable and the New Blood tournaments we run in the FCBA, while I also help with a committee run the Fight Night Live cards in America, so I am very busy to say the least.
Michelle: Harry (Keegan) is listed as the manager and owner of the stable, what does he do within the stable since you do so much?
Melanie: he focuses more on the work within the gym when he isn't making out the pay cheques of course, he will tell you himself he ran a successful boxing gym before deciding to go into celebrity boxing.
If you go out now into the gym; he will be watching fighters working in the ring, telling them little things they can fix if he doesn't hear our coaches doing it.
Michelle: How do you feel the stable has grown the past few years since Harry took over and you moved into management?
Melanie: I mean we have won six titles in that time, mostly in America I'll admit but we have had a good haul over here in our homeland.
As you know we currently have the first FCBA/BBU dual champion in Alessandra Ambrosio, while having one of the best pound for pound fighters in the world in Kendall Jenner, so things are definitely looking up for us.
Michelle: I have to ask about your career; did you feel fulfilled in it or wish you'd been able to do more?
Melanie: obviously if you look at it I wish I had gotten in the ring more, I could blame my let's say lack of friendliness to Claire King, but I was happy working with the younger fighters at the time, so I have myself to blame.
I have always been in shape and still think I could step in the ring once or twice a year, the fact is though I ain't a spring chicken now and one mistake now I could get badly hurt.
Retirement is suiting me just find, (chuckles) it isn't like I'm not busy right, things have worked out the way they were supposed to.
Michelle: we are at the half way point of the year, how do you rate it and what's the big plans for rest of the year?
Melanie: while we have had negatives like Joan (Smalls) losing the welterweight title, for the most part we have been doing great.
That is what we want to continue being as Kendall seeks to fight Amanda Righetti for pound for pound dominance in America.
While some of our younger stars like Olympia Valance and Ivana Baquero can go on to win gold sometime this year, the future truly is bright for our stable going forwards.
Michelle: on that note it is time to end the show, thank you Melanie for giving us time to talk to us.
Melanie: thank you for having me.
Michelle: a big thank you to our fans, we love you all and hope to see you next Sunday morning for the next edition of the Real View.
