Part 1: BBU JMD title fight The main event from the BBU PPV that happened on Thursday night saw Charlotte Church make her first JMD title defence, up to the plate looking to knock her out was former FCBA JMD champion Michelle Keegan, a firm fan favourite that might very well be the most popular fighter in BBU history.
That didn't exactly bother Charlotte, who reminded Michelle in their war of words that she actually was a big part of the British invasion to Americas celebrity boxing before the BBU was formed, something Michelle didn't seem to have any respect for as she claimed to be the premiere crossover star.
This was a hard fought back and forth affair, Michelle came out the blocks the better due to Charlotte trying to be too aggressive to show off for her hometown fans, the sleekness of Michelle well on show in this fight.
Power though is what got Charlotte the title, that's what kept her right in this fight, bashing back Michelle when the soap star tried to match power with her, not a smart move it has to be said from the challenger.
Though Michelle looked very good in round three, punishing the jugs of Charlotte with some nasty looking uppercuts, in a JMD fight if someone's bra looks like it wants to give up, that shows you are landing with real power.
Problem for Michelle that led to her downfall was she shipped too many clean powerful body shots, Charlotte had a game plan and it paid off when Michelle fell to her knees, fighting to suck in air to keep going, meaning Church keeps the title after her first defence.
While Michelle didn't look bad here, she was too focused on matching power with Charlotte when she moved in the pocket, probably a stick and move strategy would have helped her wear down the champion.
Who certainly cannot complain about how her year has started, though plenty of challengers will be lining up to step into Cardiff to challenge Charlotte on her home turf, this looks like it will be a long run though as anyone fighting her needs to negate that power to claim the title.

Part 2: Gemma Atkinson vs Alice Goodwin What an interesting week for Alice Goodwin, hell it's been an interesting start of the year for the glamour model, losing her membership to the Chimera stable, then going on to fight Manuela Arcuri and Gemma Atkinson two days apart.
In the fight with Manuela, there seemed plenty of bad blood between them, Manuela pushing the buttons of Alice, till she ended up knocked out in three rounds.
Gemma on the other hand was a tougher prospect on paper, though Alice held a win over the former FCBA welterweight champion, it was hard to see how Alice could repeat that success with a days rest behind her.
For her part Gemma while not having the success she had once, was confident she'd learn from their first fight, believing she had enough to beat the brunette into submission this time around.
It has to be said that Gemma loved much improved in the early going, she was relying on her jab more to keep Alice to the outside, Alice was missing due to the lefts being jammed into her grill.
Though Alice certainly wasn't static, she worked her way to the inside to work, landing some meaty hooks that certainly would have made anyone wince in pain.
But in the fifth it looked like all of Gemma's studying was about to pay off, she landed a beautiful left hook and a uppercut to send Alice to her back, the Atkinson supporters roared as they jumped up and down.
Alice did beat the count though, the shocking ending came a round later as Gemma came looking for the kill, her left was too low though as first an uppercut smashed her head back, a right hook knocked Gemma spark out on the canvas, worried looks were all around ringside for the fallen blonde.
Who did get up to beat the count, though she was clearly jelly legged as she was helped out, questions though were simply, was it Alice's power or does Gemma have a glass chin forming?
Gemma as I said looked smooth when she boxed around Alice, her punches when she stuck and moved were pinpoint, she tried to finish off a wounded opponent and like they say, a wounded animal is at it's most dangerous.
Alice proved that with that knockout combo, the winner will be hoping to have shown the Chimera stable problems what they are missing out on, the next step for Alice is to finally win a title, could this be the year?

Part 3: Sayuki Matsumoto vs Jessica Michibata This was a fight some could say was coming for a while, Jessica had a chance early last year to join the Front Street Japan stable, instead she decided to stay as a free agent to the ire of the FSJ manager Hamada, who put her best fighter former champion Sayuki forwards with the task of demolishing Jessica.
It has to be said though that Jessica did not fear Sayuki one bit, at least that was how she was acting as the fight was coming, they trashed talked in their native Japanese before getting down to business.
Coming out her corner with her head down, focusing on piercing the abs of Sayuki with hard shots, which seemed to give Jessica the early advantage as she actually had her fellow model stuck along the ropes.
As the opening round was coming to a close though, Jessica got clocked by a left hook, Sayuki begun to open up on her and the bell maybe saved Jessica.
Though in the next round Jessica again made a fast start, pouncing on Sayuki to work in tight, maybe thinking she could neutralize the power of her opponent by not letting her load up on her punches.
It became clear though that once Sayuki could land her fearsome punches, that Jessica simply couldn't withstand them, ending up getting cut along her right eyebrow.
In the third her nose took the brunt of the punishment, with a hard right looking like it could bury itself through the face of Jessica, who tumbled to her back and could only get up to all fours at the count of ten, ending her night crying her eyes out.
The punch resistance of Jessica looks to be gone, while it looks like the pain of getting cut by the Girls Friday crew was a lot, I think the pain she was in from that right hand was more, maybe making her regret not joining the FSJ stable.
Sayuki meanwhile might have had time off, but she damn well looks as dangerous as ever with a set of boxing gloves on.
Though from all reports Alessandra Ambrosio is supposed to be keeping an eye on Sayuki for a title shot, that would be a hard hitting contest with two women with lots of pride on the line, I don't think there will be a lot of love lost if that fight does happen.

Final Part: Ewelina Lisowska vs Cher Lloyd I have to admit this was a fight I was looking forwards to seeing for awhile, two women who simply love to fight, that had gotten a beef with the other over who was the better fighter, was it the Polish kick boxing Ewelina or the Gyspy fighter Cher?
This had been brewing since Ewelina made her debut beating Jeanette Biedermann several months ago, Cher would make her intentions known that she wanted to fight Ewelina then, with Ewelina saying the fight would happen when she was ready.
Up till that time they sniped over social media, threatened to meet outside the ring with bare fists and feet that we hear their agents made sure didn't happen, the hatred seeming to grow with each word aimed at their rival.
Finally they stepped into the ring on Thursday night, Ewelina facing by far the biggest test of her career in Cher, one she showed no fear of as the referee needed to push them apart when they came together for the final instructions, the threats exchanged were nasty to say the least.
The opening two rounds were electric to watch, both women didn't hide from the other, trading hard shots when they created openings, sometimes just stepping in close and letting their hands go.
But Cher took a big lead with a knockdown seconds before the end of the second round, Ewelina looked a little shaky as she stood up, the bell may have saved her an early nap.
After that Ewelina showed some veteran skills with her clinches, keeping an aggressive Cher under wraps till she could clear her head of the cobwebs.
Once that happened Ewelina found another gear it seemed, battering Cher with some beautiful hooks, forcing the English lass to back up out of danger, eyes full of rage at being bullied around herself.
In the sixth things took a dramatic turn, first Cher was struck down to the canvas with a sweet liver shot that anyone would be proud of; when she got up, Ewelina may have broken Cher's nose as it was bleeding freely, the referee with the doctors advice stopped the fight, rightly so to be clear.
The words exchanged between the fighters after the bell showed they won't be announcing a truce anytime soon, both spat insults at each other from different corners, even when Cher left you could hear her cursing the Polish fighter as she past us in the media section.
It's a fight I'd happily see run back, though if you are Ewelina, you are looking to try to get into title contention sooner then later, the Cher grudge rematch is always on the table for them both.
Cher I see coming back strong from this defeat, unlike some boxers I have seen Cher come back from losses like a house on fire, I'd hate to be her next opponent.
While Ewelina showed some weaknesses to her game, it was always going to come though the higher up the food chain she went, I like both women a lot I'll freely admit so see big things for them.
That's all we have time for, thank you to everyone who took the time to read these posts, hopefully they were fun and we see you for next Sundays edition of the Real View.
