Part 1: Alice Eve vs Samaria Regalado The main event from the third round of fights in the Contender Six Tournament saw Alice Eve again step into hostile territory, Samaria had the hometown crowd of Atlanta hoping she pulled off the upset on Tuesday and ended the unbeaten run of Alice in the tournament.
Both women seemed fully focused on the task as they headed to the ring, there wasn't much trash talking in interviews before the bout.
When that opening bell rung the State Farm Center lit up with the noise of the crowd, the fighters came out hard in that opening round, which was too close to call in my eyes, though the fans clearly thought the early aggression from Samaria had won it.
Alice came on strong in the next two rounds, Samaria making mistakes as she tries to take the fight to the veteran, missing though as Eve used different techniques to dodge before countering with hard shots.
After a stern telling off by her coach, Samaria would come back at Alice with a hard jab, that was a key weapon it seemed for any chance that the hometown girl would have to win this fight.
By the end of the fifth the fight could have went either way in my eyes, Samaria would start the sixth looking great, Alice though hurt her with some pinpoint body shots to end that round in a great back and forth affair.
The seventh saw Alice finally make headway to victory, first smacking down Samaria with a left hook across her chin, when a clearly hurt Regalado got back up, the towel was thrown in by her corner as she was soaking up some big hits.
As much as we all love a stunning knockout, I can't fault Samaria's corner for saving their fighter, they may have saved her from being injured as she was taking a real pounding.
Before that she was in this fight from the start, though she showed those rookie tenacities that have caused her last two defeats, she has plenty of potential in my eyes and doesn't look too far off the pace against some truly elite fighters in this tournament.
Meanwhile Alice heads into the fourth round looking in great shape, she has rolled back the years it can be argued to head into the fourth set of fights with the lead, if she does win the tournament could she actually go into the title fight against Daisy Ridley the favourite?

Part 2: Maya Jama vs Rose Byrne These two headed into their fights with a one win and one loss record coming into their tournament fights, a loss on Tuesday could easily mean an end to their chances at the tournament win and a title shot at the BBU bantamweight belt.
The tension between them was firmly on show in the build up, Maya was upset at losing her undefeated record to Lacey Turner in February, taking her frustration it seemed out in the interview as she called Rose a has been and someone who had never been an elite fighter.
While Rose didn't seem to rate Maya very highly, threatening to expose the younger woman when they finally got it on, she had won her last fight so confidence seemed very high for the veteran.
The first round was an interesting chess match to start, Maya looked to have done enough at the end to win it, Rose though begun to lay the groundwork for her strategy.
As the fight went on Rose would work the body of Maya over, every time she could move to the inside, her punches would keep dipping down to test the abs of Maya.
It has to be said though that Maya had taken control of the action in the third and fourth round, busting the bottom lip of Rose with her straight shots to get her corner looking excited.
That turned around though when Rose's body work started to show dividends in the fifth round, slowing Maya down enough that she could bully the bigger woman around the outside of the ring.
The finish came in the sixth, a nasty body shot took the air out of Maya, the brutal uppercut after that put Maya down for the count, giving Rose another impressive scalp over these younger fighters.
Rose has started to show that an old dog can learn new tricks, she has looked better then ever in her fights since her return to the ring, while it will be hard her to win this tournament, she may come out of it as the biggest shock.
Maya on the other hand looks to have the tools, the question I guess is has these last two defeats hardened her as a fighter or will she crumble now? Judging by comments made after this fight I wouldn't write her off yet not to make big statements in her remaining tournament fights.

Part 3: Lacey Turner vs Lottie Moss The person outside of Alice Eve with the best chance at winning the Contender Six tournament has been Lacey Turner, she fought the woman still looking for a win to get her tournament really started in Lottie Moss.
As you would expect; Lacey didn't show much respect to her opponent, saying that Lottie was the weakest fighter in the tournament, already she seemed to be looking past her to the bigger fights left for her.
Lottie on the other hand showed steel in her interview, admitting she hasn't shown her best so far, seeing Lacey as a perfect opponent though for her to rewrite her record in the tournament.
This was a classic puncher vs boxer affair, Lottie had the speed of her hands and feet, something she used to great effect in the first three rounds to work over the more plodding Turner.
The power of Lacey though has always gotten her out of trouble in the past, when the fourth round started it was on show as Lottie got a little greedy, trying to work on the inside and finding an uppercut for troubles.
Lacey would go on to bully Lottie on the inside, in the fifth she landed a nasty looking liver shot that ended the fight as Moss fell to all fours struggling to get her breath back.
That win has kept Lacey's hopes alive in the tournament, if she can beat Rose Byrne then it could be a straight shoot out between her and Alice for the title shot, of course the way things are going in the tournament, anything could happen in the last two rounds of fights.
Lottie on the other hand is fighting to not be rock bottom, she has always had the skill set, it comes down to a lack of power though, she needs to be more crafty to get wins in her last two fights in this tournament.

Final Part: Heidi Range vs Ewelina Lisowska Of all the fights over the past week; this may have been the most important, Ewelina was fighting for a roster spot after one of her victims on her unbeaten run Jeanette Biederman was let go by the Lioness Club stable.
Standing in her way was Heidi Range, she proved last year that while she isn't young anymore, she still has the skills and power to upset the young guns coming through.
There seemed an instant dislike though between these two, reports saying that Ewelina's friend Doda had caused the issues by helping Lisowska get a foot in the door with this fight, something Heidi clearly didn't like from her prefight comments to the press.
When the bell rung the opening round was a taster of what was to come, both women jabbed beautifully to the others face in an aggressive opening minute, it was Ewelina surprisingly who switched targets to swing the balance her way.
Heidi though wasn't going to sit back and take that all night, she came back hard in the second, pushing back Ewelina with crisp punches to her face.
Back came Ewelina in what would be the theme of this match, the speed of the Pole was on show as she stepped inside to work the body before getting out the way of the Scousers big hooks.
Wouldn't you know it that drama Queen Doda would show her face, that actually put off Ewelina for a bit, allowing Heidi to knock back the younger fighter.
The confidence seemed to return to Range, which was quickly knocked out of her when Ewelina hurt her with a hell of an uppercut in the fifth.
The sixth round saw Ewelina finish off the job with a stunning combo, two uppercuts set up the left hook that nearly sent Heidi out the ring, coach Mel B had to shove Heidi back into the ring, with Range counted out on her front.
It was announced at the after party that Ewelina is now a Lioness member, I think it is a great signing for them, she is young enough to keep improving, while with her kickboxing training before she stepped into a BBU ring, she hasn't as much refining to actually go through.
At six and zero in her career, it might not be long till she is in the title picture, Heidi is a great scalp to have on her record, maybe still needing a few more wins to get her ready for that level.
Before Heidi thinks I have ignored her, she is still going to be a tough out for anyone, question is can she be seen as an elite fighter or is she in the gatekeeper club?
That's all we have time for this week, thank you to everyone who read these posts, the next episode of the Real View will be up next Sunday morning.
