Part 1: Berenice Marlohe vs Bianca Balti As with all sports the French and Italians always seem to have heated affairs, just ask Zidane after the 2006 World cup his opinion on that, so put two stunning brunettes from those countries against each other and you have plenty of pride on the line.
Berenice and Bianca didn't hide their disdain towards each other in the build up, making it clear they were there for the knockout, not interested on coming out on top on points.
The opening two rounds were simply a beating of Bianca, she had ventured to enemy territory, it looked a bad move when a left to the body sent her down to a knee for a count of eight.
But Berenice couldn't finish the job, Bianca tightened her guard up after trying to match the French woman for power, instead her counter punching slowly got her back into contention.
So much so that in the forth with seconds left in the round, a right cross caught Berenice on her chin, sending her down for a count of six, Berenice looked more annoyed then really hurt.
That would come in the fifth when a right hook from Bianca sent Berenice down again, a slow count it seemed by the referee allowed the home town girl to get up, they might as well have counted her out as all it did was allow Bianca to blitz her till Berenice went for a nap in the center of the ring.
It was a strong comeback from Bianca, as my fellow pundits seem to agree, how much of this result was down to Bianca coming back at her opponent and how much was down to Berenice not being the same fighter she was even a short few years ago?
Berenice might now admit it but she looked too easily hittable and when she did start taking any real firepower, her chin seemed to give up the ghost to many downs, it's arguably if she would have gotten up the second time if not for home cooked helping from the referee on the count.

Part 2: Alex Curran vs Melissa Satta The main event of the second Lioness Club card of the month saw Alex Curran looking to show she is still an elite welterweight and not just a gatekeeper for younger talents coming through.
Problem was she faced a tough prospect in Melissa Satta, who yes last time we saw her was last year when she went on to win only two fights out of five in the Contender Six tournament, the reason she was in that tournament is the fact she is a top fighter.
From the bell Alex stormed out her corner to take the fight to Melissa, landing some beautiful crisp jabs to push back the Italian to the outside of the ring.
A minute later though Melissa landed a risky low punch that the referee was happy with, Alex certainly wasn't as she was suddenly on the downturn from that moment onwards.
While Alex was gamely fighting hard, she didn't have the power to match up with slugger Satta, instead she kept finding herself being pushed back around the outside part of the ring after losing exchanges.
In the third round after taking some hefty hooks, one to the nose of Melissa send her down to her back with blood running from her nose, it was a crunching punch to say the least, Alex getting up at seven looking to keep on fighting.
One round later and it was all done, shipping uppercuts to her chin, Curran was open for one last right hook again that left her sprawled onto the canvas, out for the count!
This was an impressive win for Melissa, who is a real contender in our books, while she doesn't always have the best technique, especially under pressure, that raw power she carries can always be a game changer.
Alex meanwhile is still a good fighter but she went at Melissa the wrong way, coming on too square at times that allowed Satta to unload those meaty hooks, if she relied on her jab and more movement she might have gave Melissa a headache of a fight, instead we hope she hasn't got a headache herself.

Part 3: Christine Bleakley vs Federica Nargi These two might not be contenders right now, Christine a former contender but on the way down, Federica slowly building her career up after a slow start to it.
Of all the fights in some respects this might have been the most important to both fighters involved, Christine gets the win and she keeps on around the title picture, Federica wins and she moves a step closer to a title shot.
The opening round was a slow one from Federica, Christine kept plugging her up the middle with some beautiful combos, her jab looked on top form as the Italian was knocked back.
Suddenly a spark lit up on Federica in the second round, after taking a few more hooks, she sprung into action with a good mixture of punches to hurt the Irish lass.
Mostly targeting the body from that point onwards, Federica looked the stronger on the inside, keeping Christine pressed to the ropes through the rounds, phonebooth style fighting getting the crowd to cheer them on.
It led to not the cleanest of fighting, both women clashed heads twice, there were some dubious low shots through the fight, both dug down to give the crowd an action packed fight.
Christine came on strong in the ninth round, maybe saving some energy to try to knock out her opponent, she did hurt her with a good mixture of punches flying through the guard of Nagri.
But in the final round Christine got put down with a hook, she did beat the count, any chance of a comeback died at that moment, with the scorecards coming back all 97-94 to the winner Federica.
While on our scorecards we had it a much wider 98-91 margin to Federica, who only lost two rounds (1 and 9) in our eyes, it was probably the best fight of both Lioness Club cards, both women left it all in the ring and deserve massive respect for going at it hammer and tongs from the first bell to the final one.
Christine will prove a tough challenge for any prospect it seems on this performance, while we felt she was outworked and got kept on the back foot for too long a periods to be effective this fight, she has one hell of an engine to go the distance, along with good technique, she won't be an easy stepping stone for anyone.
Federica while not the biggest hitter is strong, her mauling tactics here will give some other top contenders trouble, her biggest problem for me is her slow starts to fights and I can't see her matching power with say our current BBU lightweight champion Miranda Kerr, if she keeps improving then maybe that changes, right now this version I think falls short of title glory.

Final Part: Jade Ewen vs Mandy Capristo This was the opening bout of the Lioness Club card, it has to be said right away that this could have easily been the main event, both top fighters but maybe their lack of success lately on the big stage is what forced them down the card.
Both fighters made it known they wanted to knock out the other and make a statement, a flyweight title shot clearly in main for them in future if they could kick off their momentum.
It was Mandy who looked to have the early momentum, landing some beautifully timed hooks to give Jade an early scare, the former "Sugarbabes" singer was forced behind her guard by the late stages of the round.
Back came Jade in the second, Mandy wanted to push on ahead but kept getting beaten on the inside by a mixture of punches that were clearly hard to defend.
Things turned dire for Mandy in the third when she went down after a right smacked across her breasts, the follow up left hook to her ear had her on her side, back up at seven came the German.
Who tried to match inside fighting skills with Jade, all it led to though was more misery, uppercuts opened up Mandy for another left hook that sent her down; while she got back up, coach Mel B saved Mandy by signalling to the referee they were pulling Mandy out the fight, giving Jade a massive stoppage win.
To her credit Mandy wanted to continue, she was shipping too many punches, it has to be asked whether the signing of Ewelina Lisowska has effected her confident, she was a little too gung go with her approach and paid for it.
The winner on the other hand showed that fearsome power that she has, add in the fact that she has a good base to work with to get in closer to punish opponents, Jade still has that potential to be a champion.
Her problem right now is similar to Mandy's ironically, she has a large shadow being cast over her by her Hall of Fame stablemate Samia Ghadie, who has been stealing the headlines lately, she has to prove herself worthy of breaking out of that shadow herself though.
One last thing to note, the Lioness Club stable during these cards never won a fight on home soil, it will be interesting to see what they do to rectify the problems they saw on this card.
That's all we have time for guys, thank you as always for taking the time to read these posts, we hope you enjoyed them and we see you next Sunday morning for the next edition of the Real View.

Hey, it's great to win in BBU again! Now I can relax on the beach! It's still an honor that my name is mentioned in the same sentence with Miranda Kerr and who knows, maybe one day I'm gonna knock her out after all?
