Real View BBU Hall of Fame 2021 inductionThis year we have chosen a fighter who achieved history in the BBU and showed that you could fight in two organizations at a high level, this year we are proud to introduce to our Hall of Fame Alessandra Ambrosio! The Brazilian model begun her career in the BBU, making her debut a month after signing with the Girls Friday stable on 2nd March 2016, Alessandra would knockout Sophie Ellis-Bextor in just one round, highlighting what power this model had loaded up in her fists. She would go to America in her third bout to fight in the FCBA, beating Anne Heathaway in eight rounds, that was her most gruelling fight and was the opening to what would become a legendary career. Which begun to be cemented on the 31st August 2017, beating Gal Gadot in six rounds to become the BBU lightweight champion, a belt she would hold up until the 27th May 2020, when Miranda Kerr would stop her run of defences at nine successful, along with her undefeated run in the BBU at fifteen straight wins since her debut four years before. What would cement Ambrosio as a Hall of Famer was what happened on the 29th March 2019, fighting another future Hall of Famer Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Alessandra would claim the FCBA lightweight champion, becoming the first unified BBU/FCBA champion in the history of both organizations. Retiring in April of this year, we felt it was right to recognise the achievements of this amazing woman before then, Alessandra has always been a front first fighter and we wish her luck now she is going to step out the ring as a competitor. 2021 BBU Hall of Fame inductee - Alessandra Ambrosio Link to her archive profile:fcbahistory.pbworks.com/w/page/106035513/Alessandra%20Ambrosio

BBU Rookie of the Year:Every year we seem to be getting more impressive fighters stepping into the ring for the first ever time, several if they keep going the way they have started could very well be a future champion in the BBU. We have chosen one woman who has really impressed since her debut fight, undefeated in her first four fights, we are proud to announce the winner is Sophia Thomalla! While Sophia may be our oldest winner at thirty one years old, she has really came into the BBU like a house on fire, starting off on the 4th June against our first ever hall of famer and her national rival Jessica Schwarz, taking the torch some believe off her forcefully by forcing the stoppage in five rounds. Since then she has added Clara Morgane, Alesha Dixon and Elizabeth Gillies, she has really torn her opponent's apart so far, only really Elizabeth gave her problems before scumming to the power and technique of the German beauty. With her background of kick boxing training, she is the latest person from that background to join the BBU, with seemingly having that type of background being important to future fighters coming through. Winner: Sophia Thomalla

BBU Flyweight of the Year:We had another bumper year of flyweight action, with the flyweight title being involved in some truly amazing battles this year, being held by two great fighters over the twelve months. There was one though we felt deserved this award, so we would like to announce that the winner this year is Diana Korkunova! For the second year in a row Diana gets her hands on this award, while yes by the end of the year she is no longer the BBU flyweight champion, that honour is now held by Zara Holland who was in the hunt for this award, other then that defeat Diana has run the flyweight division from the top for most of the year. Kicking off the year by defeating the future Hall of Famer Jenna Louise Coleman in a hell of a fight, that would set the tone for her year as she would continue her impressive title run that started on May 29th 2019, she would go on to have seven successful defences of the belt. That included this year over the likes of Victoria Justice in a fight of the year contender, former BBU JMD champion Gemma Merna and Havana Brown, all were great fights that showcased her talents as one of the absolute best pound for pound in the world today. That is why Diana is racking up awards since she joined the BBU, that's why you can probably expect her to win more if she stays in the BBU. Winner: Diana Korkunova

BBU Bantamweight of the Year:For the past few years I've been saying the flyweight division is the most competitive, this past year has seen in my eyes the bantamweight division take that honour with so many top fighters now vying for the title. Over the last twelve months though there was one fighter who shone above the rest, that woman we are proud to announce as the winner of this award is Alice Eve!Alice started off by winning the gruelling Contender Six tournament, beating the likes of Rose Byrne, Lacey Turner and Maya Jama to get herself a title shot after going through a clean sweep of victories in the tournament. On the 27th May last year Alice would finally lift the BBU bantamweight title after a long road, defeating Daisy Ridley in a great back and forth battle that could have went either way, in the end she knocked out her fellow actress to stand on top of the mountain. Her defences would see the likes of the breakthrough star of the year Catalina Otalvaro get beaten by Alice, along with a rematch with young upstart Samaria Regalado in another great fight between the two. Charlotte Church would end the run by knocking out Alice on the 28th November in eight rounds, both gave their all but Charlotte's power proved the difference that night, that is a rivalry that still seems to have a little bit more to go before it gets settled. To finish off the year Alice defeated Lea Seydoux to cap her year off with a record of nine wins and only one defeat, the best record of any BBU fighter over the year to show why she earned this award. Winner: Alice Eve

BBU lightweight of the yearAnother exciting year in the lightweight division saw a new champion take the helm, while some exciting fights lit up the year, we felt one person took the bull by the horns to have a real breakout year. Now this might be controversial, but we have chosen someone who predominantly fought in the JMDD division, this years winner is the BBU JMDD champion! Tamara Ecclestone! Now you might say why didn't we pick someone who fought traditional bouts, well let's look at Tamara's year that was simply phenomenal, she started the year by battering out Holly Willoughby in just four rounds. Then came what has made Tamara a massive talking point in the BBU, the trilogy with Kate Upton got people talking about the socialite as she really got under the skin of the "Queen" of celebrity boxing. In those three fights Kate won their first encounter, with Tamara trying to cheat that got Kate hot under the collar, leading to a rematch on the deck of Tamara's own yacht that she won to tie the feud up, finally meeting with the JMDD title on the line, Tamara won that to take the title and get peoples notice. She made her first defence against Gemma Atkinson, beating the former FCBA welterweight champion in a wonderful fight, then would finish the year by beating Petra Nemcova to finish strong. It will be interesting to see how far Tamara can go with the title, she has more big money matches now ahead with her success, even maybe more bouts with Kate Upton as neither are going to be friends anytime soon, a real grudge has formed there. BBU welterweight of the yearWith a welterweight tournament just finishing, several new champions this past year, the division may have had its most exciting year since the BBU's inception, this year already looking like it could be another wonderful year for them. One fighter though rose through the ranks to become a fearsome champion this year, we are proud to announce that this years winner is Damaris Lewis! The Sports Illustrated model battered some tough opposition to go five undefeated in the BBU over the year, trouncing the likes of Catherine Tyldesley in just one round, the hard hitting Nicola McLean in just two, she stopped the Romanian Invasions fighter Elena Ionescu in seven hard fought rounds and beating former champion Joan Smalls in seven. That all led up to her biggest fight of her career, taking on the reigning champion Doutzen Kroes in one of the most highly anticipated welterweight fights in BBU history, the brash New Yorker against the respectful Dutch fighter Doutzen, with both rubbing the other the wrong way in the build up. Neither held back during the fight as you'd expect, Doutzen was in top form but it wasn't enough as the younger lioness would end up on top of the pride, knocking out the now former two weight world champion in as you'd guess her possible lucky number of seven rounds to claim the title. With a defence against the winner of the welterweight tournament in the BBU Rozanna Purcell to come, along with her attempts to break into the top rankings of the FCBA in the Diamond Boxing tournament, Damaris is just going from strength to strength in her career. Winner: Damaris Lewis

BBU Viewers Fight of the Year: This has been an exciting year again for BBU action, it was hard to narrow the list down but now with the help of you our wonderful fans, we can announce what you believe was the best fight of the year.
We are doing a top three, so without further ado here is the fights that made it:
3rd place was ironically a tie of two Diana Korkunova fights, one was her war with Victoria Justice over nine rounds of impressive action, the other was her BBU flyweight title defeat to Zara Holland over seven rounds.
2nd place was the BBU bantamweight title fight between Alice Eve and then champion Daisy Ridley, with Alice claiming the gold in a clash of two very skillful fighters bringing their best to the table.
But there was only one winner, in 1st place is the BBU JMDD title fight between Tamara Ecclestone and Kate Upton, for the two months before they had been battling it out, with tensions high they entered the ring for the third bout going hard from the opening bell, in the end Tamara Ecclestone left with the title bra and to some with the pride of Upton.
We advise if you haven't checked out these fights and more of the wonderful BBU action before, to go look it up now, 2021 promises to be another bumper year of great fights, dramatic rivalries and just all round fun.
