Helen Flanagan (Kear's Kats) v Renee Herbert (Unattached)
Story: Knowlesey30 year old Helen shocked the BBU world be winning the bantamweight title in 2018, although her reign was short, and she has barely fought since, and when she has she has mostly lost, too many times, like tonight, her height and reach disadvantages telling, and maybe she should do more to make flyweight?
Renee Herbert has the distinction of beating both Perkins sisters, and beating them convincingly, although her twin Elisha maintains that she’d weakened Leah in their earlier fight.
Like her sister, Renee is patriotic in her green and gold bikini, green boots and gold gloves, whereas Helen, has, as usual, decided on revealing plenty of flesh in her red basque, knickers and stockings, with white boots and gloves. She’s telling Renee, “Time you went home, see your mummy!” with the young Australian snapping back, “I’m going nowhere – and you’re going down!”
Round 1
The action starts quickly, as expected, and both girls are moving well, Helen dipping and getting inside Renee’s reach, fighting well, trying to weaken the youngster with big left and right hooks to her ribcage, but Renee’s sending the older girl backwards with jabs to her face, and the Brit needs to tighten up a little, because Renee’s hitting her just a little too easily for Gail Kim’s comfort in Helen’s corner, the Australian babe also sneering at Helen, “Come on then, big tits! Let’s see you fight!” which is irritating for the former champion, especially when Renee repels her attack again, thudding that jab firmly into Helen’s face as she gets in far too close, trying to hit the younger girl at close quarters, but Renee wants to fight at a distance, making the Brit work, and Helen’s already looking a little pink as the round draws to a close, Renee getting some reward for her efforts, smiling broadly after a good first round.
Round 2
Helen’s still working hard to get to Renee, but the rookie is finding it all too easy to pick her off with her ramrod jabs, maybe not punches which hurt too much, but they’ll cause damage for sure, and Helen doesn’t seem to be able to stop them coming, the former champion now trying to stand toe to toe with Renee, but she comes a sorry second in that exchange, Renee forcing her backwards, gradually imposing herself on Helen, the former champion eating a lot of leather right now as Renee takes control of the centre of the ring, and bops Helen’s head around, then drops her arms and showboats, “Come on then! I came to fight, not dance with a fat slag like you!” Helen still doing what she can to attack, but it’s all a little predictable as the youngster swats her like a troublesome fly.
Round 3
Gaining confidence, Renee’s getting better by the minute, and she’s just finding Helen’s face a nice target, the pretty Brit not quite so pretty now, with her cheeks scuffed up and bruising, and now Renee gives her a spanking left hook to her jaw, which seems to have stunned her somewhat, as she staggers backwards, then manages to clinch and hold when Renee gets a little too close, the Australian taking the chance to snarl into Helen’s ear, “I’ve decided to mess you up bigtime, you b1tch!” The referee separates the girls, Renee very aggressive, with Helen covering up as best she can, unable to get anywhere near the taller girl to hit her, but now when but Renee closes in to hit her in the gut, Helen reacts quickly, and beats her to the punch, showing some decent ringcraft this time around, turning the youngster and battering her to her slim body to take control in the closing stages of the round, and showing that she’s still full of fighting, as you’d expect from a girl who’s been in the ring with some of the best BBU bantams around.
Round 4
On her toes as she comes forwards at the beginning of round 4, Helen needs to build on her success, and she starts to seek out her young opponent’s body, but Renee’s back in the groove, and thudding her jabs into Helen’s face, a trickle of blood from both nostrils telling the story of her accuracy, and the former champion’s having to breathe through her mouth after that, looking rather deflated by the middle of the round, her face wet with blood, and now the impressive Renee’s doing her job, with Helen unable to do hers, Renee cuffing her face continually, almost inviting Helen to come in close to trade, the older girl’s pride making that invitation impossible to resist, but Renee just looks way too good for her, sending her backwards with some good bodypunches of her own, and Helen’s picking up a beating right now, a left hook to her jaw sending a spray of blood and sweat across the ring, Helen backed into the ropes by the time the round ends, Renee wiping her bloody gloves on Helen’s body before she returns to her corner, grinning boadly.
Round 5
Gail Kim is concerned in the Kears Kats corner, as she and her colleagues work on Helen and try to encourage her between rounds, but she looks a little forlorn when she resumes, as the taller girl just bops her head from side to side, plenty of blood flying around again, and Helen may have been cut to her right eyebrow as well, the former champion getting caught with a sweetly timed left hook, and Renee follows that with a ripping left to Helen’s liver, the shorter girl a sitting duck right now, and one right jab to the mouth followed by a left cross to the cheek puts her on the canvas, rolling over and up again at 8, but the cut to her right eye is clear to see now as the blood runs down her bruised face, Renee coming in hard to finish her off, But Helen again manages to clinch, clearly badly hurt, Renee chiding, “I thought you could fight, but you’re a fat little punchbag, aren’t you?” then she just contents herself by hitting Helen’s swollen face a couple more times before the round is over.
Round 6
Helen’s face tells the story of her having taken a lot of punishment tonight, and it looks like she may take plenty more yet, as Renee picks her punches, smacking the older girl’s head up and back with straight hitting, Helen bravely soldiering on, blowing hard, her blood flowing, and dripping off her chin onto the canvas, but she’s still throwing punches into Renee’s body, even though they don’t have enough venom in them to cause her much discomfort, and the Australian’s beginning to showboat a little to much for Helen’s Manchester fanbases’s liking, her gloves low as she Ali shuffles and dips side to side, still sticking the jabs into Helen’s face, inviting her to come to her and try her luck, and she seems to be allowing the busty Brit to tire herself out in wasting energy, laughing at her, then thudding some hard punches into her ribs to make sure Helen’s completely exhausted at the end of the round, and she slumps on her stool in the Kear's Kats corner.
Round 7
Still grinning, Renee comes forwards to hand out some more punishment to a bereft Helen, and she announces, “It’s time!” and immediately she’s crushing the former champion’s resistance with a savage straight right handed punch to her solar plexus, Helen sagging, nothing left, as Renee knocks her out with a left hook which lands flush on the Brit’s jaw, Helen’s legs and arms twitching silently as she lies on the canvas, the referee not bothering to count.
Result: Renee Herbert knocked out Helen Flanagan in round 7
Renee looks like she may well be the real deal at bantamweight here in the BBU, because Helen is no mug, and was outthought, outpunched and outclassed tonight, her fans stunned as she’s stretchered out of the arena, no post fight humiliation for her, the Herbert sisters looking around to see who might take her place beside Sacha Parkinson, who is already kneeling at their feet, and it suddenly becomes clear who they want –

The two actresses who once played lesbian lovers are now side by side on their knees, kissing and slurping away at the Herbert twins feet until the Australians tire of them, haul them up, and march them back to their dressing room, or should that be undressing room? Either way the twins will be having some fun tonight in their hotel suite.
