This week we have two women who this year have really broken out in the JMDD rankings, American model Abigail Ratchford and English model Bethany Lily April have never fought, who do you think would win if/when they fight it out in a JMDD rules fight?
Without further ado let's start with Abigail, she has a history of winning polls in the BBU after winning the right to challenge Kate Upton on the last PPV for the JMDD title here in the BBU by poll, her modelling career has thrived over the years with her on front covers of magazines, now one of the best fighters in JMDD right now.
Her career got off to a bit of a bumpy start, losing on her debut to the tough Alexandra Daddario, only winning one fight in three, she has turned things around now she is part of the Lioness Club stable, where she has went on to beat the likes of Alice Goodwin, Jenna Pietersen, Natalie Jayne Roser and Nicola Cavanis, only the elite fighters seem to be able to beat her.
Abigail's style relies on her power and height, she isn't afraid to scrap but she loves to pin opponent's along ropes or in corners, landing some nasty hooks and uppercuts, her biggest weakness has been her guard can come a little loose, allowing counter attacks that have derailed her momentum in the past, it isn't as bad as it once was with help from the Lioness Club coaching crew, still as her fight with Upton showed, it can still rear it's head.
Now to the opposite corner in our poll, Bethany Lily April has been a household name in the UK Page Three scene the past few years, she broke out on social media with her racy posts, in the BBU she has only fought since January! Already winning the BBU JMDD title from Tamara Ecclestone, though lost it to Kate Upton as experience beat her spirit.
In terms of wins she holds, the list includes Peta Todd and Dannii Wells early on, then big hitters like Kelly Brook and Christine McGuiness to go with her title win, only Kate has stopped her so far, joining the This is Glamour stable seems to be the perfect fit for her judging by this early success.
Style wise Bethany is a classic power puncher, she loves to get in close to work the body and opponent's boobs, bully opponents in a different way to Abigail with straight forward swarming attacks, her only real weaknesses shown so far are she isn't the quickest across the boards and Kate showed she doesn't like being on the back foot much.
Now as I have mentioned both have only one common opponent in Kate Upton, for a direct comparison of performance, Abigail lost in six rounds by knockout to Bethany going eight and referee stoppage, Abigail though arguably gave Kate the harder fight as she went on a run of rounds where Kate didn't seem able to do much with her, while Bethany went toe to toe with Upton from the opening bell, that may help your decision.
