As they say what a difference a day makes, well in this case three months as we have a new number one ranked fighter in our rankings, while not many of the names have changed since the last set of rankings, the placings certainly have along with a big title change, as a reminder the records next to the fighters names are from the past twelve months, we have judged the fighters on activity and who they have fought to come up with this list.
So let's get into what has changed since the last rankings back in August, for starters Olympia Valance is our new number one ranked fighter, she has battled hard over the past year to earn herself the ACB bantamweight championship, a massive win over celebrity boxing great Miranda Kerr was followed with wins against Rose Byrne and Teresa Palmer to allow her to snatch top spot from the former number one Ewelina Lisowska, who after losing the BBU flyweight title to Ivana Baquero has dropped mightily down to seventh.
Talking of Ivana she has had one hell of a past three months, defeating Jenna Louise Coleman, winning the title from Ewelina then finishing the hat trick of monster wins by defeating Diana Korkunova, if she can keep this pace up of top wins she very well might take the top spot the next time we do these rankings, issue is she is in one of the strongest divisions that has seen four champions in two years, more then any other division in that period of time, can Ivana buck the trend and go on a legendary run? Odds aren't in her favour it seems on that.
Also with Ewelina dropping so much the other BBU champions (Charlotte Church, Kate Upton, Miranda Kerr, Damaris Lewis) have all moved up places, Damaris Lewis of course coming off a big win against Alexina Graham, Kate Upton winning her grudge match against Abigail Ratchford, Charlotte defeating Rhian Sugden and Miranda Kerr the only one to lose during this time with her ACB bantamweight title going to Olympia, she did defeat Ann-Katherin Brommel after to retain her BBU lightweight title.
People just outside the rankings who could very well find themselves within the rankings are Inna, who is undefeated in five over the past twelve months, only level of competition kept her outside the rankings, former BBU JMDD champion Bethany Lily April suffered two big defeats in relinquishing her title to Kate Upton and recently losing her grudge fight against Tamara Ecclestone, also Ela Kawalec feels on the cusp of a major breakthrough that could see her break into the top ten soon.
As always we welcome any debate on the rankings, whether we missed out a fighter you feel should be in the top ten or someone is too lowly or highly ranked, our next set of rankings will be up in February 2022, it'll be interesting to see how things play out with title changes, big grudge fights and up and coming fighters making big statements in that time.
