Part 1: BBU JMDD title fight This month's BBU PPV main event saw Ela Kawalec look to win the BBU JMDD championship, in her way was the biggest star in JMDD history, the two time unified BBU/FCBA JMDD champion Kate Upton, did Ela get her first championship or did she faced defeat at the fists of Kate?
Well both women certainly were fired up in the build up to the fight, both trading insults at the press conference, which led to a hair pulling contest after a few slaps were traded like two gunslingers battling at sundown, it showed how much pride was on the line between them.
While in the opener Ela came out looking fired up, Kate gave her a taste of her power and experience, it looked like it could be a long night for the challenger as she had to back off from Kate, who had that trademark grin she gets when she is on top of things.
But Ela would prove a tough challenger, sticking in to rough up Kate, leading to a shock for some in the fourth round, certainly the Lookout corner as Kate was hammered with several clean shots that sent her tumbling to her back, the crowd smelled an upset as Kate got up at eight looking sore.
Never rush in on a wounded animal is always sound advice, Ela did that in the fifth, for her troubles she ate several clean hits, which sent Ela down for the count as a set of clubbing hooks ended her night, Kate looking furious afterwards as she especially punished Kawalec for pushing her.
It was a great back and forth contest while it landed, the emotions of such a major fight seemed to have gotten to Ela on the night, if she learns to control that then you are looking at a future world champion in the division, her speed and power gave arguably the greatest JMDD fighter fits, so don't write off this young Polish fighter.
Kate meanwhile stamped her authority in the end once Ela had made her mistake, you really need to be near perfect to beat her, as Kate has seen first hand, the BBU JMDD division has grown from strength to strength since it's early days, you had two more JMDD fights on that night with big hitters on both sides of the ring in each fight, Chloe Khan gave Kate issues in the FCBA, Kelly Brook is still a legend you can't write off, Lucy Pinder, Abigail Ratchford, the list is massive of potential champions, so Kate cannot assume that this is going to be a vacation from the FCBA, talking to her I believe she does understand that isn't something she can do.

Part 2: BBU bantamweight title fight How about this for build up, two undefeated fighters, a world title on the line between, a clash of styles, sounds a hell of a fight in the makings right? Well we had such a build up as Maisie Smith looked to dethrone the BBU bantamweight champion Sophia Thomalla only a month after Sophia had claimed the title from Charlotte Church, someone's undefeated record had to go, who went home with their first bitter taste of defeat?
The lead up to the fight certainly showed there wasn't much respect between them, Maisie had made sure to claim her stake at the title and that Sophia was lucky to beat her to it, Sophia saying that Maisie didn't scare her one bit, it was simply about removing an annoyance out of her way.
Out the gates Maisie was showing that gritty style that has taken down the likes of Lottie Moss and Lacey Turner, surprising the champion as she squared right up to her pounding away to the body in a furious assault, that led her to land nasty shots over the top that made Sophia look pedestrian.
But Sophia would then enforce her skill set on the fight in the second and third round, landing pinpoint strikes that would cut Maisie under her left eye, the champion would score the first knockdown of the fight in the fourth with a brutal hook that had Smith sitting on her backside, maybe wondering what to do.
Though that wasn't the end of Maisie by a long shot, the knockdown seemed to just make her more furious, she came out guns blazing, Sophia was getting caught as maybe she took the foot off the pedal thinking she had Maisie's number.
If you were hoping for Maisie to complete the comeback, it didn't happen as Sophia would cut her again, Maisie was being hurt as Thomalla found that extra gear again when needed, both fighters were hurting but Maisie would go down again in the eighth, she got up again to mystify Sophia, the referee had seen enough though as Maisie looked glassy eyed, a good stoppage, even if I know us as fight fans want the highlight knockouts, you have to protect the fighters from themselves, especially someone only twenty with so much potential.
Maisie certainly did not do her prospects any harm, in fact judging how the champion was full of praise for her, it shows what a force Smith might become if she keeps growing as a fighter and doesn't take her eyes off the ball, we have seen many prospects do that and never win a title, Maisie really looks the real deal though.
Sophia though is now ten and zero with the title belt around her waist, she is the best bantamweight in our eyes in a heavy talented division, next up is Vicky Pattison, with both the future challenger and champion trading insults for fun, expect more fireworks around the bantamweight title.

Part 3: Hayley Atwell vs Christine McGuiness We got the rare grudge fight containing Hayley Atwell, who felt Christine was wrong to use her occasional sparring partner from her stables BBU cousin stable to make a point, Christine came into the fight with two goals, hurt Hayley for in her eyes disrespecting her, along with throw her name back into the ring for a future JMDD title shot.
Stepping into the ring and staring across at each other, you could feel the hatred between them, both with a point to prove to each other, it was a hard fought opener, Christine was letting Hayley get too close for her coaches comfort as they spoke about the round after the bell rung.
That didn't seem to work as even after a strong start from Christine, Hayley was right in her grill time and again, driving back the blonde around the ring, hammering in a mixture of body and jug shots that were making McGuiness grimace as Atwell came to play.
Christine looks to be a special fighter, she found the extra juice in her punches when she hurt Hayley early in the third, while Hayley tried to stick in, she was beaten back and ended up down for a count of eight, the referee had to step in as Hayley was being used for a punch bag, giving Christine her biggest win to date.
I won't go into whose opinion is right on the other and all that, I will say to stop Hayley Atwell in three rounds is impressive, Hayley is a former JMDD champion, she has a well earned reputation for taking a punch well to dish it back, so Christine made a real statement here to start 2022 on the right note, question is can she claim her first JMDD title after two attempts last year, one where Tamara Ecclestone needed a low blow to steal the fight from her, the other where she ran into a sublime Bethany Lily April, can she find that bit extra to wear the diamond encrusted title herself?

Final Part: Bethany Lily April vs Alice Goodwin This was a fight many were looking forwards too as you had two thunderous punchers squaring off in the JMDD division, animosity of course wasn't far behind, with Alice seeing what she could have been, Bethany Lily April took the BBU by storm last year, can she repeat her success in 2022?
Stepping into the ring together, after a little chest bumping and getting into it, they got to it in a hammer fisted first round, Alice was able to use her reach to drive back Bethany, getting caught with some big hits near the end of the round, looking confident as she walked back to her stool.
But things took a drastic bad turn for Goodwin, Bethany was straight into her jugs with uppercuts, Alice didn't look used to being against someone who hits as hard as herself, with Bethany sending Alice to the canvas, Alice was in too much bad to beat the count.
It was an amazing show of strength from the former champion, Bethany has proven before can be the best in the division, after a rough end to last year, she seems refocused and rejuvenated, which has to be a fearsome sight for her rivals.
Alice meanwhile continues to be a strange case that sadly seems to have missed her chance at getting to the top, seen by some as the heir to Kelly Brooks throne as the best of Britain's JMDD fighters, her performances since beating ironically Brook have been below par, hopefully for her fans she recaptures the magic that made her a feared foe.
That's all we have time for, thank you to everyone who has taken the time to read these posts, we will be back next Sunday morning with the next edition of the Real View.

Maisie can rightly be proud of herself, to even earn a title shot at the tender age of 20 is rare, and she pushed Sophia all the way, and we in the Maulers camp are confident that with experience and maturity Maisie will strike gold one day.
