Mimi Perkins vs Asuka Kuramochi (The Bondi Babes vs Front Street Japan trialist) (5-4, 5 KO vs 2-1) Results: BBU; Story: VassagoBEFORE: The Covid-19 pandemic restrictions have completely hijacked Asuka Kuramochi's progress in the last two years and she has to accept any challenge out there before it's too late to recover from the schedule drama. She remains on trial with Front Street Japan and one might argue this will be a trial by fire tonight inside the Marvel Stadium in Melbourne where she's set to lock horns with the local favorite Mimi Perkins who eyes a beach boxing return during the upcoming Australian summer but first wants to shake off the proverbial rust. Bondi Babes manager Kylie Minogue claims there will be no mercy shown for the Japanese tourist however it's Asuka who refuses to touch gloves with the Aussie model that suddenly raises the grudge stakes before the opening bell. Mimi Perkins wears a crimson red lingerie underwear & white gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a sleek ponytail. Asuka Kuramochi wears a black bikini set & yellow gloves. Long black hair loose & straight. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division. Round 1:Asuka tries to upstage the local favorite and moves in to deliver a quick jabbing pounce but Mimi weathers the early storm and swings a meaningful response over the top which triggers a hectic tussle in the center of the ring. Both girls engage in a crowd-pleasing slugfest which doesn't exactly follow Ayako Hamada's plan but the Front Street Japan manager can celebrate a good spell once Asuka starts to pick the fellow brunette off downstairs. Mimi opens too many holes around her elbows and gets spiked sideways before Asuka slams a left hook on the chin to slump her on the ropes. Ugh! That sudden turn of events silences the Melbourne crowd while the Japanese tourist keeps pounding away to drop Perkins behind a desperate earmuff come the bell. Round 2:Mimi tries to recover from that below par opening round but Asuka rides a confident jabbing wave and beats the Aussie model by the numbers early in the second round again. She drills through the cleavage to really put Mimi on notice and displays superior footwork to escape the head-hunting response. The crowd cheers on for Mimi who just can't catch the fast moving actress on the fly. She spends majority of the round in a fruitless pursuit and gets whacked up the chimney once Kuramochi applies the slugging pressure again. Kylie Minogue gets a little worried in the Bondi Babes corner while Asuka barrels Mimi down to the corner to slump her on jelly knees following another body assault drive. Round 3:More Aussie drama in the third as Mimi gets caught by a quick uppercut series and stumbles to the side while the Japanese tourist pummels her to the body and backs her onto the ropes with relative ease. Ugh! One might argue who exactly struggles with rustiness here as Mimi has to clinch the older brunette just to stay afloat but still gets spiked around the elbows and has to lock Asuka in a standing headlock to earn herself more respite down the stretch. Messy action all around as Perkins refuses to let go before dropping some quick shots around the liver area before Kuramochi finally shakes her off and goes for the one-two power assault. She nails the subdued model on the chin before thumping a left cross on the nose that tears a small gash across the ridge. Rounds 4 & 5:Mimi finally manages to stop the Japanese charge and knocks significant leather into Asuka's face during another slugging tangle. The older brunette tries to swing back at her foe at first but then thinks better off it and forces Perkins into a lenghty jabbing pursuit that still allows the judges for some home cooking. Asuka enjoys the superior mobility but she's not gonna win the judges over on the road fighting like that however the plan must be to lure Mimi into a counter-punching trap outright. Sarah Cumming believes Mimi can derail all those ideas once she nails Kuramochi with a proper piledriver but that one doesn't come in the fourth... or fifth round either. Asuka might not have the top power supply in the business but she leaves the Aussie campers visibly frustrated at half-distance. Round 6:Melbourne fans expect Mimi to carry on with her comeback but she walks into a sudden jabbing haze early in the sixth and suffers more cuts as Asuka works the speed dial delivery before drilling through the model's solar plexus. Uh-oh! Mimi spins to the side with a whimper and gets boxed into the corner where Asuka drops a crippling series on her navel before another huge uppercut shatters the jaw and DROPS PERKINS FOR THE COUNT!!! Disaster in the making for the local fans as Mimi cuts a visibly shaken figure during the count and even though she manages to beat it at seven Asuka is ready to blow her away.... she squares up to the plate and keeps pounding away while Mimi remains trapped on the turnbuckle and offers no resistance anymore! Kylie Minogue just won't throw in the towel so Asuka switches Mimi's lights out instead! Arms go numb and collapse by the side so the Aussie model doesn't even register the last punch that knocks her out! KO6 Asuka Kuramochi!!! AFTER: Talk about a mild upset here in the Marvel Stadium as the Japanese tourist claims a valuable scalp and drops the talented Mimi Perkins in dead meat fashion. Kylie Minogue didn't see that coming whatsoever and argues with Lauryn Eagle over the training schedule but the Bondi crew simply has to roll on with the beach boxing plan or else the Herbert twins will steal all the headlines for the rest of the year. Meanwhile Ayako Hamada officially promotes Asuka to the Front Street Japan roster and vows to run another Jewels PPV within the next few weeks to kickstart the post-pandemic boxing action in the Pacific region again. Stay tuned for more details! Official Result: Asuka Kuramochi def. Mimi Perkins KO6.

Pia Miller vs Jennifer Hawkins (BBU/ACB Independent vs Downunder Boxing) (4-6, 4 KO vs 4-10, 3 KO) Results: BBU; Story: VassagoBEFORE: One might argue Pia Miller has to go back to the drawing board after losing back-to-back fights earlier this year but even 'Green & Gold's Sarah Cumming claims the Chilean-born stunner has reached the high-water mark of her career already and the only way is down. Ouch. However Miller herself has booked a rather manageable contest versus the former Miss Universe Jennifer Hawkins who can be accused of punching above her weight lately as well. Hawkins fell to Brooks Nader and Yasmin Verheijen last season and it's maybe time for the blonde model to admit she's not reaching that elite level anymore. Then again she can always sell out any fight card in Australia and she enjoys a bigger crowd support inside the Marvel Stadium. Pia Miller wears a red bikini set & black gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a curled ponytail. Jennifer Hawkins wears a light green bikini set & golden gloves. Long dark blonde hair tied in a curled ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the lightweight division. Round 1:Both women take a slow approach into this fight and the single-punch striking doesn't exactly ignite much fire into the crowd either but Jennifer decides to become more aggressive and lands several clean shots into the brunette's face before Pia fires her response on target. The action picks up come the second minute where Jennifer drills her mitts into the brunette's midsection and avoids a looping hanger to barge more leather into Miller's breadbasket. She drives the Chilean-born woman onto the ropes and tries to knock her head off with a sudden slugging surge but Pia clinches her into safety at the last moment to escape more trouble. Rounds 2 & 3:Pia gets more aggressive during the next six minutes but she fails to really expose the blonde's high-guard so allthough she makes a better impression by the numbers, she can't quite drop Hawkins off her comfort zone and struggles to punish her outright. The Melbourne crowd is still handed a solid slugging battle of attrition before Miller runs out of steam just when she's backed the former Miss Universe onto the ropes. One lost chance here, another one there and Sarah Cumming is quick to point out why Pia fell out of the Sirens' favor. Meanwhile Jennifer rips some quick hooks to end each round which leaves the brunette fuming as she desperately tries to prove she's still got what it takes. Well, maybe she should try her chances versus the Downunder coach Nikki Visser since... Round 4:...she gets badly pummelled by Hawkins early in the fourth. Another wide swing misses on the approach and it's all Jennifer from there as she rattles Miller with a piercing double on the mouth before slicing her into a standstill with more head shots on target. Pia is slow to raise her arms and remains glued to the spot when the blonde model thumps her from both flanks until she breaks her resilience... one looping shot on the temple too many sends Miller trembling forward to meet a vicious uppercut on the chin... DOWN GOES THE EX-SIREN!!! Pia gets laid out flat on her back and descends into loud spasms at first but then gets a lucky break when Jennifer begins to celebrate too early. A brief delay allows the brunette to battle back to her feet at eight and she vows to somehow continue despite looking more than dizzy. Hawkins taunts her into some attacks which find nothing but thin air while the blonds adds more cuts to Miller's swollen face. Woof. Things suddenly look very bleak for the Chilean-born stunner as she gets pounded onto the ropes where she gets saved by the bell... but not for long! Round 5:Jennifer flies in with the head-hunting juice and renders Pia numb seconds into the fifth... a steady dose of hooking menace owerwhelms the ailing brunette who stops the barrage with her face and crumbles underneath the onslaught to TAKE A KNEE when Hawkins bursts her nostrils into a blood-seeping mess. Uh-oh!! The Melbourne crowd wants that blood spilled alright but it's too much for Pia who remains down on one knee during the count and quite frankly she didn't even make an effort to beat it out this time. KO5 Jennifer Hawkins!!! AFTER: The former Miss Universe can soak in all the glory that was hard to come by in recents months while Pia simply storms out of the ring to avoid the awkward questions regarding her future. She should remain in popular demand on the southern hemisphere but might be heading into a veteran gatekeeper role more than anything else. Back to Jennifer and she's ready to reboot her career allthough she admits targeting BBU Top 15 lightweights might no longer be a viable plan going forward. Official Result: Jennifer Hawkins def. Pia Miller KO5.
