With some of the stalwarts of the BBU bantamweight division creeping towards their 40th birthdays, this tournament may go some way to deciding who will join Fleur East in moving nearer to a shot at Una Healy’s title.
Eight girls have been selected for the tournament, with the four winners of the opening fights going forward to a round robin section, where they will fight each of the other three remaining girls.

Rachel Riley (Beevers Babes) v Jacqueline Jossa (Garnet Gunners) 31 year old blonde Rachel has made a great start to her career, and now fights the more experienced, and very feisty Jacqui, who, at 24 is looking to resurrect a career that was put on hold back in June 2014 after she suffered a crushing defeat my Jessica Schwarz. Rachel’s looking good in a baby blue bikini, boots and gloves, whilst Jacqui wears a royal blue bikini, with white gloves and boots. Round 1 Rachel ‘s working hard in the opening minute, and she’s getting the better of Jacqui in these exchanges, prodding the brunette backwards, but not able to land any good punches, with Jacqui resisting, and she’s covering well, then holding and clinching, shaking off that ring rust now as she punches her way off the ropes, and she’s hitting Rachel fairly hard, and with some ease, turning the fight around, hit’s the blonde to her body a few times, and puts her back against the ropes, and Rachel’s not doing well as Jacqui bangs her head left and right in the closing seconds, hurting her with her right hook in there. Round 2 The girls seem happy to be back at each other again, and it’s Jacqui who looks more active in the early exchanges, finding her range again with that cracking right hook on the blonde’s face, but Rachel’s looking equal to the fight in this round and she gets on top when they trade shots in the centre of the ring, giving the younger girl some sweet combinations as her defence looks to be shaky, and after making Jacqui back off, she’s hitting her with plenty of venom, landing some hard punches on the brunette’s face, but Jacqui’s coming back in the later part of the round, and gives Rachel a jab, then a cross, then a hook to leave her looking stunned at the bell, unhappy at the way Jacqui seemed to dismiss her punches. Round 3 Jacqui’s all over Rachel early in this round, lands good punches to her body, and another lovely right hook, Rachel’s left cheek bruising up a liitle now, and Jacqui’s working her sideways and backwards, clearly wanting the blonde backed into the ropes, but when she gets her there, but Rachel punches her way out of trouble, and turns Jacqui, hits her with some heavy punches to her body, Jacqui’s guard again looking flimsy, her gloves dropping, and Rachel starts to land on Jacqui a little more with her crisp jab and cross combinations, leaving the brunette shaking her head at the bell. Round 4 Rachel’s onto the attack as the bell starts the round, gives Jacqui a sweet one-two as they meet in mid-raing, and she follows up by hitting Jacqui’s body, and she’s hurting her with those punches, because there are plenty of gasps and puffs coming from the brunette’s lips, but try as he might to press her to the ropes, Rachel can’t keep her still, and she takes a big uppercut from the younger girl as she fights back, and now it’s Jacqui who picks a wounded Rachel off with good punches to her face, which is looking sore, the skin around her cheeks grazed and red, her right eye a little puffy, and maybe she’s getting the wrong end of this fight. Round 5 Both girls are ready to rip into each other again from the bell, and there’s a big trade in opening seconds, Rachel landing sweetly with her accurate jabs, but Jacqui’s swinging hooks are damagaing punches, and that trade ends with a wobbly Rachel cut to her left cheek, and she’s backing off and covering, blood trickling down her face, her eyes wide, and a jubilant Jacqui’s hitting her some more, a big left to the body, and another right to that damaged cheek, and Jacqui’s buckling Rachel at the knees, but she switches her attack to the blonde’s body, and that’s enabled Rachel to start fighting back, landing her own body shots, but she’s in trouble again after taking a left hook, and looks vulnerable until she traps and hammers Jacqui in a neutral corner in the closing seconds, Jacqui bleeding heavily from her nose after being tagged with a big left uppercut. Round 6 Both Jacqui and Rachel’s faces have been patched up between rounds, but it looks like Jacqui may have had her nose broken, and she looks unhappy, with Rachel bouncing and right up for more action - and she’s on Jacqui now, working the girl over to the body with heavy punches, hurting her and sapping her energy, with Jacqui bravely trying to get back into the fight again, and she hits Rachel with a couple of good right hooks, although the blonde didn’t seem to be too put out by those shots, although Jacqui still comes forwards, tries to go for the right hook again, but Rachel shrugs off her efforts, and she’s being pummelled by the grinning blonde in a neutral corner at the close of the round, looking tired Round 7 The pace of this fight just isn’t letting up, and the girls are trading punches again, and even though she’s got problems with that broken nose, Jacqui’s still landing good punches, sending the blonde girl backwards, then taking some body punishment, and Rachel’s lasting these exchanges better than Jacqui now, and there’s another exchange of really hard punches, and this time it’s Rachel getting the better of things, with Jacqui’s nose really looking bad, and she’s getting backed into the ropes, the resurgent Rachel hitting her head from side to side, hurting the younger girl with accurate punches to her face, and Jacqui goes down, gets to her feet at 7, and just about survives the final few seconds of round 7 Round 8 Jacqui’s still looking groggy as the girls resume, and Rachel’s really chasing after her now, has the brunette static, her whole body starting to sawy as the blonde pins her to the ropes again and starts really laying into on her, Jacqui not really defending herself as she takes more punishment, and the referee stops the fight Result: Rachel Riley stopped Jacqueline Jossa in round 8 That was a tough fight, swinging one way then the other, but maybe Rachel exposed Jacqui’s ring rustiness in the end, and she will be the girl advancing to the round robin stage.

Sacha Parkinson (Double A Boxing) v Nadia Forde (Unattached) Former champion Sacha, at 25, is having her first fight since being badly beaten by Leah Dizon back in November 2015, and she’s fighting the undefeated 27 year old Nadia, who will be an excellent test for her. Nadia’s first in the ring, wearing a black bikini with green gloves and boots, and she’s in fantastic shape, although Sacha looks good in red bikini, gloves and boots. Round 1 There’s very little time for thought as the girls start swapping punches straight away, Sacha landing some good jabs, but she’s getting taken backwards by some good stuff from Nadia, who’s clearly too quick for Sacha in this opening round, and she’s looking too strong as well, and she’s hurt the former champion already, her left hand a great tool to have in her box, and as she backs Sacha into the ropes, she unloads some good punches to her body, Sacha holding and clinching, but after the referee breaks and resets the girls, Nadia’s giving the blonde some heavy shots to her body and her face as she dominates her in this opening round, and that’s one of the best rounds seen from a girl in this division for a long time. Round 2 Sacha looks battered around the face already, and Nadia seems to be getting stuck into her again, ripping punches into the blonde girl’s face, but Sacha comes back at the Irish girl, and lands a decent jab and hook combination of her own, enough in those punches to send Nadia into retreat, and things are starting to look for Sacha better as she keeps Nadia at range, not getting involved in trading big punches, and she’s really improving her chances by boxing clever, putting Nadia on the backfoot, and that’s giving her time and space to land some good punches of her own, making Nadia think about things there now. Round 3 After showing her hand in round two, Sacha’s unable to keep things slow and sedate, with Nadia attacking her just by her own corner, and this is a quick start to the round with punches being thrown from both girls, and big punching Nadia’s drawing Sacha into a trade this time around, and she can see that she has Sacha hurt, the blonde stepping backwards, and she clinches again as the brunette gets in closer, but the referee quickly breaks the clinch, Sachha landing a couple of jabs, but Nadia land s lovely left hook, and floors her, Sacha sprawled on the canvas, but on her feet at 6, still a little unsteady though, and Nadia’s punishing her as soon as she gets up, Sacha bloodied and in trouble, gashed across her nose, and surely relieved to hear the bell. Round 4 After being dropped to the floor in round three, it’s a tough start to round four for Sacha, as Nadia rips into her body, hitting her with banging hooks to her flanks and ribs, Sacha finding it tough to keep her guard up, as Nadia sends her backwards with some punishing punches to her face, that left hook really troubling the blonde, who’s holding again, breathing hard over Nadia’s shoulder, blood smeared from her split nose, and from the referee’s break, Nadia dominates her again, hurting her with cuffing punches, and Sacha needs to be more mobile because she can’t outpunch Nadia, just stay in there and tire the girl out. Round 5 Nadia’s so much in control, she shows arrogance as she begins to showboat, keeping her gloves down low, letting Sacha come closer, avoids her attack, and lands her own punches, Nadia just toying with Sacha now, which is hard for the former champion to take, but she looks weary, and Nadia’s giving her another beating in this round, has her trapped against the ropes after hurting her with a left to her midsection, and one to the jaw, and that puts her down again, and Sacha doesn’t get back up this time, on her back and out. Result: Nadia Forde knocked out Sacha Parkinson in round 5. Sacha took a beating in this fight, and Nadia looks a real contender on this evidence, but she needs to beware of showing too much arrogance, because that may come back to haunt her.

Helen George (Unattached) v Danielle Harrold (Beevers Babes) Two lovely blondes will battle it out in this fight, with 32 year old Helen looking to stay undefeated as she takes on ambitious 24 year old Daniele, who steps into the ring after a 2 year absence. Helen looks great tonight in a white bikini, with pale green gloves and boots, with Danielle in a pink bikini, gloves and boots. Round 1 The girls are both standing off initially, neither girl making too much in the opening minute, each trying to look tough from the start without there being much action, until Helen starts finding Danielle with her jab, the younger girl standing her ground, but Helen lands some neat punches, although the feisty Danielle’s soon fighting back, and she’s almost bullying the older blonde now, pushing and prodding her to the body, then hitting Helen’s face from side to side once she gets her on the ropes, Helen trying to cover, then trying to punch her way out of trouble, but it’s Danielle getting the better of Helen in a late flurry Round 2 Danielle seems to be h]keen to build on what she did in the latter part of the opening round, and she gets a good start to the round, almost dropping Helen with a good left hook, which makes the older girl back away, retreating into the ropes, and once she’s got her stationary, Danielle peppers Helen again, sending her along the ropes towards her corner, and now she hits her to her ribs, comes in closer, but Helen isn’t inclined to defend or hold, and she gets back at the younger girl, and rips her defence apart with a couple of shuddering uppercuts, Danielle staggering after those punches, and Helen clips her across the lips with a right hook, and puts her down – Danielle is up again at 6, but those uppercuts have caused in a big reversal in circumstances in this fight Round 3 Helen looks desperate to get on top of Danielle, but the younger blonde won’t be dominated by her, and huge shots are landing from both girls, at first Helen staggering Danielle with some whipping loopy hooks, but Danielle comes back at her, lands some great jabs, and a left cross, sends Helen backwards and hurts her with two solid left hooks, Helen backed into a corner now as Danielle pings and pops her around and Helen can only hold to stop the onslaught, her face bruised around both eyes, and she’s started to slow down, and maybe she’s struggling to keep up the pace against a youthful and confident Danielle, who has got herself on top again in this round. Round 4 In the opening seconds, Danielle lands a good combination, and she’s already looking the better girl in this round, pushing Helen around and she’s making life difficult for the older blonde, working her to the body to keep her on the move, until she corners her and now lands a really good body shot, making Helen grunt in pain, and drop her gloves a little, and Danielle floors her with a left hook, Helen getting up and looking angry at 7, Danielle looking like she’s ready to hit her some more, but instead it’s Helen storming back, landing some hefty shots on the younger girl’s face, and she’s hurting Danielle, her jabs just drilling past her gloves, and messing her defence up, setting her back and easy to pick off with sweet crosses. Round 5 She may be bruised and looking shabby, but Helen’s gaining confidence the longer this fight continues, and now she’s dictating the terms of engagement, as she takes Danielle around the ring, thudding some hard punches into the girl’s face, the occasional reminder to her ribs, and next she’s popping Danielle’s head backwards and sideways, has her stuck against the ropes after a super right hook, has her weak and vulnerable, and she stuns her with some quick punches, and drops her to her knees, Danielle up again at 8, looking wobbly, her head swaying, but Helen can’t finish her off Round 6 Both girls have been down in this hard fight, and Helen seems to be on top, but again Danielle fights back, and Helen’s looking annoyed, but she hurts Danielle with a left and a right to stop her in her tracks, and again she gives her some hard punches to her body, hurting Danielle once more, the younger blonde trying to clinch, but just stooping over really, and Helen gives her an uppercut, and that’s enough for Danielle, who isn’t getting up this time. Result: Helen George knocked out Danielle Harold in round 6 Danielle gave Helen a great fight, and although the older girl won, her contacts must be concerned that she had to get off the canvas, because the round robin tournament already has two girls in it who punch harder than Danielle.

Tulisa Contostovlos (Frankies Foxes) v Jessica Wright (Unattached) Tulisa is a girl who has flattered to deceive in the BBU, but at 28 has plenty of time to discover some form, although 31 year old Jessica will be aiming to use this as the ideal opportunity to kick start her new opportunity for fame. Tulisa has a great body, and looks good in a scarlet bikini, gloves and boots, with the Jess in black leather save for her white gloves Round 1 Tulisa comes off her stool quickly, and looks keen to take the fight to the older girl, but Jess starts the fight like a whirlwind, giving Tulisa a hard time immediately, her solid straight jab and following hooks and crosses smacking into the face of the singer, who also lands some hard punches, but her tactics look wrong, because Jess is a far more solid puncher than she is, and to trade blows with the vicious Essex girl is inviting trouble, and very soon Jessica’s pinning Tulisa in her own corner, and just working her over, thumping her really hard to her slim body, and Tulisa just can’t escape, however hard she tries to get clear, so she again tries fighting fire with fire, but she ends the round with a horrid lump on her left cheek, and she looks forlorn as Jessica crows, “Too easy, bitch! I’m gonna thrash you!” Round 2 After receiving treatment to her already lumped up face, Tulisa springs out for the second round, and she’s bravely attacking the powerful Jess, but she’s just playing into her hands, and Jessica’s landing bigger and better punches, Tulisa’s head getting smacked backwards with two crashing uppercuts as she at last tries to cover, and she’s down – she gets up again at 8, but she’s still staggering, and Jessica simply pours the punches in, the referee trying to get involved, but just can’t, and Jessica puts Tulisa down again, the singer again trying to get up, but she’s finished this time, and falls forwards onto her face as she tries to beat the count. Result: Jessica Wright knocked out Tulisa Contostovlos in round 2. Jessica looks to be in superb condition for this tournament, and will be tough to beat – and now she’s grabbing Tulisa, and dragging her across the ring, sitting on her stool, and bending her over her knee, and down come Tulisa’s panties, Jessica smoothing her hand over her buttocks, grabbing a thick strap which is proffered by her corner, and she starts to give Tulisa’s butt a savage beating, the likes of which haven’t been seen since Mary Elizabeth Winstead was on tour in the UK, and after landing that belt 10 times, leaving 10 livid wheals, Jessica stands up, Tulisa tossed to the canvas with sheer contempt.

OK, so this is the best bantamweight line-up BBU can come up with? Apparently Una Healy and Fleur East are right up there too, OK, Una is the champ after all, but I wonder why I wasn't invited to take part in this event? No offense but Jessica Wright has done nothing in the boxing ring so far and yet she gets the nod ahead of me? Grrr... I guess Michelle Keegan pulled some strings to make it happen! Those damn Beevers will never change! Since I've told Clara Morgane to bugger off for now, guess I'll have to find myself a fight or two in order to remind everyone why I'm the best BBU bantamweight not named Una Healy around here! You all have been warned! I don't need special events to boost my stock, I'm still gonna lay 'em all out!
