Real View Intro: Hello ladies and gentlemen; back to normal duty of talking about great BBU bouts that are not on PPV. Seems we are now in the full flow of boxing action after a bit of a quite period last month.
As always we urge that if you haven't read the fights from the past week, please go read them. We will be spoiling results and we would hate to rob you of the fun of reading the fights.
We will start in Cardiff with the action that kicked off the week. Where we saw the debut of Rachel Zegler as she took on Lily-Rose Depp. While Perrie Edwards and Sandy Moelling both fought it out hoping to turn their fortunes around in their career.
While we will also be looking at the Gaslight Gentlemen's Club in London. It held two fights on Friday night with interesting results. The club owner Bianca Gascoigne putting herself front and center on the night as she looked to improve her JMD record.
Thank you to all the writers who made the BBU PPV happen. Without the managers and writers of the BBU we would struggle to do this every week.

Part 1: Nicola Mimnagh vs Mathilde Gohler Battle of the international beauties as Scotland's Nicola Mimnagh and Denmark's Mathilde Gohler looked to stake a claim for a future BBU Welterweight title bout. Mathilde of course coming off a loss to the champion Josephine Skriver in her last bout, was hoping to jump right back into that number one contenders spot. Nicola on the other hand has been on a solid run lately.
The opening two rounds of the bout showed how motivated both were, while execution wasn't always pin point, both laid in some nasty punches. Getting into each others faces to try to control the action as both knew the importance of a win in this clash.
Nicola started to take control of things in the third and fourth round with crisp body shots. Even sneaking in some JMD style attacks to push her opponent on the back foot. Mathilde looked frustrated by the end of the fourth round, while Nicola played up to the crowd.
But don't write off Mathilde as she came roaring back in the fifth. This was fast becoming an early contender for fight of the year as suddenly Mimnagh was in trouble, Gohler landing a few solid uppercuts to make her opponent back off. By the end of the sixth both women clearly knew they were in a tough bout.
The seventh round was shockingly where it came to an end. Mathilde laid her cards on the table, problem for her was Nicola laid four aces down as she clubbed Mathilde around her ear after she misses with a right hook. Mathilde went down and while she did get up at seven, her legs were like jelly that she fell into the referees arms, they had seen enough and the fight was waved off. Nicola won the hardest test of her career.
Is Nicola ready for the big title fight with Josephine Skriver? Nicola will say yes and this was an important result. It'll be interesting to see if she has one more fight to build herself up or goes for the big one if Josephine isn't afraid to give her the shot of course.

Part 2: Izabel Goulart vs Brooks Nader The main event on Dubai's famous beaches saw Sports Illustrated Izabel Goulart and Brooks Nader battle it out. Both women will know of each other well but had never went at it till Friday. Would the veteran Izabel prove she can still go against the younger model or did Brook get back on the winning trail.
All the talk was coming from Izabel. Brooks mostly kept to herself in the build up. While the Brazilian beauty was telling magazines and our celebrity boxing press that Nader was a flash in the pan type. She didn't see her as anything special.
Brooks certainly seemed in the mood to shut her up when the bout kicked off. Pounding her punches through the mitts of Goulart to make her back up. Izabel looked a little gun shy at first, trying to work out how she could slow down the American as Brooks had a fiery look to her.
While a body shot in the third opened up Brooks, it was arguably the uppercuts under her jugs that really got her on retreat. Izabel roughed up her opponent as clearly she didn't think she could handle her in a straight up boxing bout. Brooks looked annoyed at the bell as she stared at Goulart.
Drama filled fourth round as Izabel landed a booming right on the chin of Brooks, who collapsed onto her back. Brooks pushed back to her feet but she was struggling to hold off Izabel. The fifth round saw the veteran finish the job off with another right, this time Nader couldn't find her way back up to her feet.
As they say you have to back up your trash talk, Izabel did that in the end! Next up she has Karolina Kurkova, who has become a tough marker for me in the division, she can pound out opponents if they are not up to the mark. If Izabel adds her to her CV, she could very well be in title contention.
On the other hand after Brooks started her career so well. I wonder what is going on mentality with her, she has a lot of talent but if she is starting to shy from punches, well that could be killer for any title aspirations.

Part 3: Ann-Kathrin Brommel vs Malika Menard This was an interesting bout to see where these two stunners stood in the rankings. Ann-Katherin Brommel has been a mystifying fighter to watch, she has shown brilliance in her career and moments of horror for her fans. Malika of course at one point was a dominant lightweight champion in the BBU, that feels lightyears ago now as she has more mixed results then wins.
The bout started with Ann-Katherin keen to make an early impression on her opponent. Malika was trying to hold off the German fighter with her jab, problem was Brommel was pounding her around her guard when she was getting in closer. Menard had to settle for getting out the opener without getting too marked up.
Round two saw Malika try to bring the fight back to her foe. They traded hard shots but again Ann-Katherin was the one dictating the action, landing the heavier blows as Malika has never really been known as a one punch knockout artist.
It took Brommel getting too cocky to turn the tide of the fight, Menard punished her for her taunt in the fourth with an uppercut that set her up for more punches in bunches. Ann-Katherin was too busy swinging off her back foot to really connect, her fans had to have had their head in their hands at that point.
Imagine the looks on their faces in the fifth round. When they watched Ann-Katherin eat a crisp right hook to the jaw. More pounding punches followed to send her reeling back till she collapsed to her back in the sand. Looking to the sky as the referee counted her out.
While Malika isn't the fighter she was, if you give her an inch she will take a mile. Ann-Katherin will most likely have been given an earful from Gina Wild when they got back to the hotel. This was a bad collapse in the end from the German fighter. Malika will look to build off this result in a packed division at the top.

Part 4: Holly Valance vs Federica Nargi It has been an interesting time the past few years for Holly Valance, holding the ACB lightweight title while coaching her stablemates and even training with younger sister Olympia. She has to have found some water from the fountain of youth, though some cracks have started to form lately.
Federica Nagri meanwhile has been one of the best Italian fighters surprisingly not signed by Latin Union or the Italian Better Boxing stable. She has proven to be a good scraper but has struggled to push to that elite ranking. Wins over the like of Holly would help with that growth to the top.
What a start to the fight, Federica took the fight to Holly in round one to push her back. That all aggression tactics caught out Nagri as a right hook caught her flush. Another big punch sent down Federica to a loud roar from those watching, hoping the popular Valance could finish things early on.
Holly couldn't then but looked crisp with her punching. She couldn't find a power punch to really trouble Federica again. Who showed impressive patience to get her rhthym going and not simply rush in to try to regain control by pounding her way in.
That seemed the key to the turnaround in round six. Federica caught Holly with a nasty left hook on the chin, the Italian beauty beating back her foe with nasty looking punches. Round seven came with both rushing to engage as Valance had lost her temper. A booming right sent Holly down to her backside, where she couldn't overcome the daze she was in to win.
It was a good scrap between two women slightly off the title pace. Federica showed great resilience to come back but Holly Valance has to be kicking herself, wondering how she didn't shut the door on this bout. Her manager/coach Tara Moss certainly wasn't happy, I'd love to have been a fly on the wall for the conversation after that fight.
That's all we have time for folks. Thank you so much for taking the time to read these posts. We hope you enjoyed them, while also a big thank you to Vassago for his amazing fights. We will be back next Sunday morning for the next edition of the Real View.
