Part 1: Izabel Goulart Vs Karolina Kurkova On Dubai's beach we saw a bout between two supermodels battling to try to become a contender for the BBU lightweight title. Izabel Goulart upset Brooks Nader a month ago, after she called out Karolina Kurkova and that's how we got to the bout earlier this week.
Both women were sure they were going to win this clash. Izabel seemed to have new found confidence going into this match. Karolina meanwhile has carried the reputation of being the measuring stick in the division; though of course she'd love to shed that off to be the main face.
It was certainly looking like it would be a real test for Izabel. Karolina was on the front foot pushing around the Brazilian. Who was making mistakes trying to rush in instead of taking her time to pick her targets.
Karolina took the first three rounds. She was crisper with her punches, only problem was she couldn't quite land that big punch to wobble Goulart. With the Brazilian showing good footwork to get out of trouble and slowly start to use her jab to find her way into a rhythm.
Then Izabel switched to work the body of Karolina. Who struggled to fight off her back foot as she pressed back, all her early misses too took some energy out her sails. Izabel driving her to the ropes to work away as the switch had firmly been turned on for Goulart.
Karolina come out for the sixth round but was promptly beaten back as she looks stuck in trickle. Soon getting knocked to her back by two firm hooks, leading to her being counted out by the referee. Izabel winning another tough bout to show that maybe she is on the rise to being a real contender.
The lightweight champion Holly Peers was most likely watching the fight closely. Izabel might be a fight or two away from being a tough challenger to her. This victory though proved that Izabel has the skill set and toughness to be a real threat.

Part 2: Scherri-Lee Biggs vs Tahan Lew-Fatt Tahan Lew-Fatt was looking to add another win on her home soil of boxing at the paddocks of Supercar racing. Scherri-Lee Biggs hoped to upset the odds by getting her first win against Tahan. Could she do it or would Tahan defend her patch?
There wasn't much bad blood between them. It was clear though that both were highly motivated to win as they stepped into the ring. With the opening round seeing Biggs coming out hot. Pushing back Tahan around the ring, in the second Tahan fired back to match the intensity of her opponent.
After that though one mistake by Scherri-Lee left her open to a pounding right to her nose. The floodgates opened as she couldn't really hold off the more experienced fighter. Tahan was beating her back to the delight of her supporters as Scherri-Lee went down to her knees at the end of the fourth round, getting up to beat the count looking worn down. Finally it ended with a clubbing right hook sending down Briggs as she was counted out.
This was another impressive performance for Tahan. Only former ACB bantamweight champion Olympia Valance has beaten her. Sadly for her the current ACB bantamweight champion Elisha Herbert is busy, so Tahan will need to keep touring the paddocks to keep herself busy for when an opportunity might present itself.

Part 3: Mallory Jansen vs Jennifer Hawkins To some this would be a main event in Australia. It took the undercard spot under Tahan Lew-Fatt getting the main event on her hometurf. Mallory Jansen wants to regain her ACB lightweight title. Jennifer Hawkins meanwhile has been a top contender for several years but hasn't gotten back to the mountain top herself. It was interesting to see which one of these former champions would emerge on top.
They really came flying out their corners to start the fight. Mallory landing the better in the first half of the opener, Jennifer found the answer though and pounded back her opponent. Leading to an intense stare down at the end of the round as it was hard to say who won it.
The fight continued with the same intensity in the second. Difference was Jennifer found a nasty right that opened a cut on the bridge of Mallory's nose. Jennifer looking good driving back Mallory around near the ropes as she showed her skills off.
But the third round sums up the action as Mallory caught Jennifer with a crippling right hook. Jennifer was send down and look shook up. While Jennifer saw the start of round four, Mallory soon battered her back down and got the knock out to show she is well on her way back to the top.
It should be noted that Mallory is after a fight with Miranda Kerr. It will be interesting to see if that fight happens. Miranda isn't the force that she once was but she still is one of the best on her day. It helps that along with Yvonne Strahovski, Miranda Kerr is the money fight to get in Australia.

Part 4: Jun Natsukawa Vs Maki Itoh Over in Japan we got another look at the viral sensation that is Maki Itoh. The wrestler has been growing in popularity over her social media. While she has had a little war brewing with the Front Street Japan stable. Their manager Hamada seems to have a bee in her bonnet over Maki, especially when Maki made her debut defeating Sayaka Isoyama.
Before the bout we got the typical Maki sing-a-long. That certainly ruffled the feathers of Hamada. Jun meanwhile looked a little puzzled by the younger woman, once that bell rung Jun was off the blocks quickly. Maki seemed not to be as focused as she could be, getting peppered to her face getting marked up.
Back come Maki in the third round as she caught Jun with a left hook to her jaw. Maki started to push the tempo up a notch. Jun had not fought in over two years, that showed as she struggled with the pace of the action.
Leading to in the fourth round Maki winning Jun. Then knocking her out as Jun was laid flat out. Hamada looked ready to pull her hair out as she watched her fighter getting counted out. Maki of course was beaming as she celebrated wildly to make the rival corners mood even worse.
Afterwards Hamada made the challenge for Maki to take on her new ace in the flyweight division Asuka Kuramochi. Maki of course accepted. Asuka has only lost once in five fights and seems a real prospect. it would be interesting to see what Hamada would do if her girl loses to her new nemesis.
That's all we have time for folks. Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to read these posts. We hope you enjoyed them. We will be back next Sunday for the next edition of the Real View.
