Real View Intro: Hello ladies and gentlemen; this week we hit the beach's of Aruba to start things off with two gorgeous models boxing. After that we had two beautiful singers going at it toe to toe in Cardiff. Just showing how diverse the talent pool and what venues the BBU has.
As always we recommend that if you haven't read the bouts from this past week that you go look them up. We will of course be spoiling them in our reviews. While also you will be robbing yourself the enjoyment of wonderfully written fights.
While we will also look at the state of female celebrity boxing in Asia and have an interview with one of the women who has seen the BBU since day one.

Part 1: Bianca Balti Vs Robin Holzken As the weather is heating up here in Europe, we got a beach boxing bout to start our week of action off. Bianca Balti was hoping to try to push her record from a losing one closer to a winning one. Well she picked a hard challenge to do so in the only lost once in six bouts Robin Holzken. Who had proven herself in her nations ranks, she needed to step out more on the international stage though.
Robin was the one doing most of the talking. Telling all the journalists who made the travel to Aruba that she had a plan to become a world title contender, starting with Bianca. Well Balti was certainly in a fiery mood when she told the press that she'd dent those hopes.
Bianca certainly got off the mark quickly to take the fight to Robin. Working with hooks to drive the younger woman back. Robin looked a little cold, maybe not warmed up properly or Bianca simply was more energised when that opening bell rung.
Afterwards though Robin started to show her quality. Landing crisper punches, beating Bianca around her face with some mean hooks. While a body assault did slow her down a little in the third round, she was back on top in the fourth with faster punches then her opponent could reel off.
In the fifth round Bianca tried to keep on trucking forwards. Instead she was beaten back after taking another nasty punch around her nose. That opened her up to a pounding right hook that sent Bianca onto her back on the sand. Balti couldn't beat the count as she lay defeated.
While it wasn't a great start for Robin, she showed plenty of quality to overcome a motivated Bianca. Next up she has Alessia Uva; who has also only lost once. Keep a close eye out for that in future as that will be a real quality fight if both bring their A game to the fray.

Part 2: Tori Kelly Vs Mandy Capristo The BBU Arena in Wales hosted an interesting international clash. American Tori Kelly has not been shy on where she ranks in the flyweight division. She had called out Germany's Mandy Capristo, who has the talent to arguably beat any flyweight in the world on her best days. The problem for Mandy is she can be inconsistent to say the least, for every world level performance, along comes a bad one to push her back out into the cold.
Both stepped into the ring looking very confident they would be leaving with the victory. The tension was clear as Tori's words had bugged Mandy enough to get the fight. Which one would come out on top?
Well Tori didn't show herself in much glory in the opening two rounds. Mandy setting her stall out with several big hooks to bang around the head of the younger woman. Tori showing off a few slick jabs to stop Mandy simply overrunning her as it could have gotten very ugly for the blonde beauty.
Thing changed when a clubbing left hook caught Mandy on her ear. Followed by several more clean power punches to turn the tide. Mandy was trying to plant her feet to match the intensity of Tori but the younger woman was dialed in finally. Cracks of leather rung out as neither was playing around, they were slugging it out.
The fifth round saw the first real major drama as Mandy got her nose busted, before she was sent tumbling to the canvas. Mandy pushed to her feet to fight on, it only took another round though as she kissed the canvas and didn't beat the count in the sixth.
This was a very impressive victory for Tori, who probably still needs another solid fight around this level before going for the big sharks in the division. Still Tori has shown real potential. Mandy meanwhile will rue letting herself keep getting into fire fights that set her up for a cruel beating to the canvas.

Part 3: showcase of Asian talent So since we have a little extra time this week. I thought it would be interesting to look at the state of boxing in a part of the world the BBU has proudly included in its ranks. Asia has produced some of the greatest title runs in BBU history. Whether it be Mikie Hara being an unstoppable force at one point in the Flyweight division, it took one of the other future Hall of Famers in Jenna Louise Coleman to dethrone her. The other was Sayuki Matsumoto being a silky smooth operator in the lightweight division, with the punch to flatten her competitors.
Since their primes though arguably the Asian fighters haven't hit the heights they did. Mikie and Sayuki now are both trying to find their feet within the FCBA ranks with a new stable in Revolution Boxing. The veteran stable Front Street Japan you could argue has been creaking as they haven't had a champion in years and their talent is starting to get older. With European talent now going over to Japan to build up their careers with tours where most get wins.
But don't write off the talent from Asia yet. Just in the past few months two fighters from Japan have shown themselves to be top quality fighters. We got the debut of Maki Itoh in January, the oddball to be polite pro wrestler has done well since she came into the celebrity boxing ranks. Her attitude might not be everyone's cup of tea, still she knows how to take opponents down and has good fitness from her wrestling training.
There is someone right now who arguably could be the face of Asian boxing for at least the next five years. While Asuka Kuramochi isn't young at thirty three years old, she did just defeat Maki to stop her undefeated run. She has a record of five wins with only one defeat. Asuka has a good mixture of speed and power. Some have said she could be this eras Mikie Hara, which of course will probably rub Mikie up the wrong way.
Beyond Japan you have the Singapore revolution that has taken place in the FCBA, with the likes of Queenie Sia and Jaime Pang getting fans excited when they have met in some nasty battles. China has been searching for that celebrity female boxing star and might have two in Ming Xi and Mia Kang. Both flyweights have started to get wins together to move up the rankings.
So while other parts of the world like South America have grown in strength. Asia is looking to be having a revolution to start returning as one of the most dominant parts of the world when it comes to female celebrity boxing talent.

Part 4: an interview with Denise Van Outen Tom: we decided for our interview this time around to look to one of the stars you see on your screens at our events who shall we say doesn't box as much. Please welcome BBU TV host and fight commentator Denise Van Outen!
(Denise is doing a video call as she sits on a ring apron in a pink dress with a big smile)
Denise: hey Tom! I hope you are not acting like I have retired, I can still take any of these wannabes if they want some! (Raising her fists with a cheeky wink, before both laugh.)
Tom: oh I know that but today I wanted to speak to you about the BBU and how it has grown since its early days. You have been one of the faces of the BBU since day one, someone who has done commentary on some of the BBU's biggest fights. Can you give fans an insight into how the early BBU days felt to you.
Denise: god well honestly I think a few of us were nervous how long it would last. For those who don't know our story, well we were created because we felt that British talent wasn't being treated correctly in the FCBA, unless your face fit shall we say.
Those early days were wild, I had a few brawls outside the ring as you had a group of women who simply wanted to prove to be the best. While we had our own arena but we didn't move around as much as we do now.
Looking back I am proud of those days. We proved within our first year that we weren't going anywhere and I showed that I deserved my job as a BBU TV host as you know how critics are. They felt because I hadn't done boxing work I didn't deserve the job. Here I am a decade later still in my job and those critics are probably retired.
Tom: when you look at the BBU now. Are you proud of where it is now or are there things you'd change?
Denise: oh I am more then proud of where we are. We have fights seemingly all over the world now, fighters from around the world and stables that are based all over. The titles we have are truly world titles, I mean if you told me on day one that the BBU started that we would be where we are now, I would be shocked and honestly I shouldn't be.
Tom: on your career highlights, of course you have fought in the ring yourself, what is the greatest moment of your career?
Denise: I have to be honest and say my career hasn't exactly been box office haha, the obvious one was when I shut up that loud mouth Christine Bleakly in 2011. Knocked her overrated arse out.
Beyond that... I guess beating Amy Childs when she was actually someone people knew and of course I debuted in a lightweight title bout against Lisa Maffia. Me and Lisa had words that led to that fight, god did we have a war that night, while I am not going to be cuddling her anytime soon! She did earn my respect that night.
Tom: just on Christine. Would you ever work with her in the commentary booth?
Denise: f**k no! Oops sorry for my language but no amount of money would ever get me to share a large room with her then sit next to her. If people think me and her are acting for the fans, trust me I'd knock her out if she ever comes at me.
Tom: oh I know you'd go for her, so sorry for the mean spirited question. (winks) so final question as I know you have interviews to do at that gym. Would you ever step back into the ring for a pro fight?
Denise: well to be frank I am nearly fifty; I ain't dumb enough to get in there with women young enough to be my daughters. I do see those cougar or jaguar or panther, whatever they are called bouts. Maybe I could be coaxed into one as I still work out and do hit the pads.
Thing is I will be honest and say Kate Lawler whooped me last time I stepped into a ring! That silently retired me as it has been five years since she stopped me in four rounds. You know me though, someone pushes my buttons and I go off on one. (Laughing as she shakes her head.)
Tom: well thank you so much for your time! I hope you had fun getting more scoops for BBU TV and I look forwards to meeting up with you soon again.
Denise: thank you, remember folks that BBU TV is the real place to find out BBU news. (sticking her tongue playfully out at Tom. Who fakes being annoyed before laughing.)
Tom: on that note that is all we have time for folks, thank you so much to everyone who took the time to read these posts! I hope you had fun and we will be back next Sunday morning for the next edition of the Real View.
