Real View Intro: Hello ladies and gentlemen; does the BBU ever disappoint? I'd say no (though I am bias) as we got two fun contests this week. Along with the announcement of one of the biggest BBU PPV's in a while. With three title fights headlining the event! What more could you ask for beyond lots of riches... Well you get the idea. *Winks*
As always we recommend that if you haven't read the bouts from this past week that you go look them up. We will of course be spoiling them in our reviews. While also you will be robbing yourself the enjoyment of wonderfully written fights.
This week's show we will look at the two bouts from the past week. Along with focusing on two of those three title fights. We want to thank the Knowlesley and Vassago for writing the bouts that took place.

Part 1: Alesha Dixon Vs Aleksandra "Ola" Ciupa After her surprise win to show there was life in Alesha's career after she has had a rough last few years. She was back in Poland, the scene of which saw her get brutally beaten by Paula Tumala. Could she turn back the clock again when she took on the debuting Aleksandra Ciupa?
The mission for Alesha if you listened to Dorota Rabczewska (Doda) was an easy on. To simply turn up and be a punch bag punch for the local girl. Ola as she likes to be known certainly looked confident making threats against the BBU Hall of Famer.
It was clear right away that Ola was in the mood to make a statement of the legend. Beating around Alesha, who didn't have much power behind her punches in reply. Ola looked excited after her first round in boxing went so simply for her.
After that Alesha was simply getting beaten around. She looked pitiful to be frank as she wasn't able to push back the younger woman. Soon enough in the third round Alesha was put down, only out of pride did she beat the count at eight. It might have been wiser to stay down as she was simply mowed back down by Ola to the delight of the local fans.
It's always worrying to see a legend simply beaten like this. Alesha will always be a great but she is taking some beatings and looks like she has another coming. Natalia Siwiec will be her next opponent it was announced after the fight.
While for Ola, well she certainly did a number on the former champion. She looks physically very impressive. I'll wait to pass further judgement of course till I see more of her. If she builds on her technique and can take a punch, then nothing should stop her becoming a champion.

Part 2: Baskin Champion Vs Pia Miller We had an international clash in the BBU Arena on Friday night to get ourselves ready for the weekend. American Baskin Champion and Chilean Pia Miller stepped together in the ring to try to turn their fortunes around. Baskin had won two of her four fights, Pia only four of eleven. The fact that Baskin was the younger woman by several years didn't fill a lot of Miller fans with confidence.
Though as they stepped into the ring. Pia looked the more athletic and she didn't look shy with the look of confidence she had. Pia landing several solid uppercuts early to give her opponent a taste of her power. Baskin would give Pia a taste early on what she was bringing to the party with fast hands and good footwork in a competitive opening round.
While Pia was getting the better of the exchanges early in the bout. Baskin was taunting her as she felt that Pia didn't carry enough of a threat to hurt her. Baskin digging away to the torso of Pia to wear her down.
That would be what turned the fight in the end. Baskin found another gear as Pia started to look slow and tired. A liver shot near the end of round five rocked Pia to her toes. She same back out in the sixth but Baskin was quick to hurt her again. Pia got smacked with a nasty right cross to put her down to her knees, where she stayed as mentally she knew the fight was over for her, she didn't risk any further hurt.
This was a somewhat prime example of why Pia has not been so successful career in the ring. She started well but lacked the conviction to really step in to lay in the heavier leather, once things started to go against her there was only one way the fight was going to go. At forty years old now, her chances of winning a title are probably gone now.
Baskin on the other hand is young enough to keep evolving into a great fighter. She showed flashes of brilliance with fast hands, maybe power is lacking as she isn't physically imposing. She did show in this fight a willingness to stick to a game plan to victory. It'll be interesting to see if she can use her confidence and skillset to get into title contention.

Part 3: BBU JMDD title bout preview The main event of this month's PPV will be an interesting clash as it will be the third time Kelly Brook and champion Hailey Clauson will meet in the ring. They are tied up at one win apiece and this will be the biggest fight of their rivalry.
Ironically their first clash was back in 2019 for the BBU JMDD title. Roles were reversed as Kelly Brook was the champion and she kept her title that night. Two years later Hailey showed her improvement by knocking out Kelly in a welterweight bout. So the big question of course is who takes the rubber match between them.
Well to be frank with Kelly, form is certainly not on her side. What Kelly has though is big match experience, plenty of titles on her CV and a willingness to work hard in fights. She will look to keep the fight in close quarters to ruffle the feathers of Hailey, work her ribs as well as her jugs to make it hard for her to breath and make the younger woman wilt under her raw power.
The champion on the other hand is on a roll of a lifetime! She is one of the top two in the Diamond Boxing Tournament in the FCBA with an unbeaten run. She holds the FCBA JMDD champion to make her only the third BBU/FCBA unified champions in history. You have to go back to last year to find a loss next to her name.
What Hailey will look to do is keep some space to swing in her power punches. Stick and move at times to not get bogged down by the younger woman and simply keep the fight at a high intensity to force the stoppage.
So the odds are firmly on Clauson's side. You can't write off Brook; she has adapted over the years when things have gone on a down turn in her career, if she has found another quirk to her fighting style then she very well might shock us all. Hailey though should have enough in the tank to emerge on top of this one and show how far she has come as a fighter since the days we were surprisingly worried she might not achieve her potential... Yeah she definitely achieved that!

Part 4: BBU bantamweight title bout preview For the second time we will see Maisie Smith challenge Sophia Thomalla for the BBU Bantamweight title. A year ago both were undefeated and in a fight of the year contender Sophia knocked out Maisie in the later rounds to remain undefeated. Can Maisie get her revenge a year later?
As I said last year this is going to be a clash of power versus technique. Maisie is one of the hardest punchers in the BBU bantamweight division. Physically she is one of the most impressive with all her hard work from her Strictly Come Dancing days. She will look to keep in close and batter Sophia into dust.
Sophia meanwhile is one of the best pound for pound boxers around the world. She combines speed, a good dose of her own power and maybe most importantly technical skills to go with her large boxing IQ. She has been tested and has come through with flying colours in so many occasions.
What this fight may very well come down to is can Maisie keep her head. Of arguably of all Sophia's opponents in her career, Maisie gave her the toughest test with that power she holds. What lost her the fight was two things. One was she was too one dimensional with her attacks. Two was she lost her head, getting too emotional at times that led to simply mistakes. If Maisie has fixed those then she very well could be the one to take the title from Sophia, along with pride that she was the one to take the zero from her record.
I still see Sophia as favourite of course. She has shown that she seems to have ice running through her veins. An ability to do what she has to win fights. Maisie will need to come up with different angles of attack and at times simply drag Sophia into a bar room brawl if she is to make that extra step to bring home the title. This could very well be the most intriguing contest on a loaded card.
That's all we have time for folks! Thank you to everyone who took the time to read these posts. We hope you enjoyed them, we will be back next Sunday morning for the Real View and don't forget, this Wednesday is when the BBU PPV takes place.
