Real View Intro: Hello ladies and gentlemen; this week was an interesting one. Starting the week off with beach boxing in Dubai and then moving to Cardiff's BBU Arena. We also saw the BBU PPV be announced last night with two title fights main eventing that card.
As always we recommend that if you haven't read the bouts from this past week that you go look them up. We will of course be spoiling them in our reviews. While also you will be robbing yourself the enjoyment of wonderfully written fights.

Part 1: BBU Bantamweight title bout preview Well this feels a little deju vu as we preview once again Maisie Smith challenging Sophia Thomalla for the BBU Bantamweight world title. Last month they were scheduled for their rematch but the fight was postponed. The reasoning has been kept behind closed doors but we suspect one of the fighters might have been carrying an injury and is keeping it on the down low.
Anyway as I have said this is a rematch from a bantamweight title bout that took place last year. Both Maisie and Sophia were undefeated, Sophia was the champion then too. In that war in the end Sophia was able to force the referee to step in to stop the bout, ending Maisie's undefeated run and stop her claiming the title.
So what has changed in this past year to now? Well on Maisie's side of things she seems to have learned to control her emotions a little better. She is still an all guns blazing front foot style fighter but she keeps her head better to not rush in as much.
Sophia meanwhile is still simply the best all rounder in the bantamweight division. She continues to show that ice must be running through her veins when she fights. Of course though she has more miles on the clock turning away the likes of Maura Higgins from taking the title from her.
What we saw last year was two proud women going head to head. Arguably Maisie is the toughest challenger Sophia faced due to her physicality. The challenger knows how to use the power generated from her legs and has proven her toughness. Sophia will need to wear her down down, keep away from the ropes and exploit any openings that emerge.
If you are wondering who my money is on. You have to go Sophia but it is far from safe money. Sophia will need to be fully focused because one moment of madness and Maisie could pop her lights out to create history.

Part 2: BBU flyweight title bout preview The BBU flyweight title bout this month sees Bianca Atzei try to overcome fighting champion Jorgie Porter. Who will make another defence after making one just last month. Jorgie seems to want to break records for most defences I assume with this pace she is setting herself.
So in the challengers corner Bianca Atzei has really taken to boxing like a duck to water. She was our rookie of last year. She is a terrier style fighter who loves to strike hard and fast in close. Not afraid to take some bruises on her gorgeous face to score victory.
Jorgie meanwhile is a good solid boxer. Something has clicked ever since she joined the Glamour boxing Academy to make her go from gatekeeper to the premium champion of the division. She now has an aura around the bubbly blonde.
This should be an interesting clash. Jorgie I believe will have the quickness advantage but Bianca looks the physically stronger woman. Skills wise both have plenty of those to bring to the party. It may come down to who makes the first mistake in this contest.
Jorgie will be the favourite for those of you who like a bet. Bianca though should be a close dark horse in this one. If Bianca can keep in close and wear out Jorgie, we could see an Italian holding the flyweight title come Wednesday night.

Part 3: Holly Valance vs Brooks Nader We travelled to Dubai's famous sands for some beach boxing between two beautiful warriors in bikinis. ACB lightweight champion Holly Valance took on former BBU lightweight title challenger Brooks Nader. Both women have beach boxing class, so which one emerged the top fighter on the beach?
Both have had a rough time lately with Holly trying to show her brand off around the world. Brooks meanwhile lost her chance to be a lightweight champion several months ago before shockingly losing to Izabel Goulart. That seemed to put her BBU title hopes on the back burner.
The fight started off hotly contested as both women wanted to let their fists go. Holly maybe thought Brooks would melt under the early heat she was throwing. Instead Brooks was able to work back the veteran with her own slugging strikes.
Holly was trying to match the intensity of her foe. Problem for her was Nader was after proving a point. Body shots worked back Valance as the Aussie looked ruffled. Ending in the fourth with a liver shot sending Holly down to her knees in tears. The pain was too much for her as she stayed down on her knees for the count.
This was a very solid performance from Brook. She has the power to deal some damage but at times she loses focus, you can't say that about this bout. She was zoned in from the start till she finished the job off. By sounds of it she wants to continue fighting on beaches.
While Holly has struggled for form. It will be interesting to see what happens with the ACB title. Holly has had a bit beef with Alesha Dixon though. So will be interesting to see what happens on that front.

Part 4: Bonnie Sveen Vs Gemma Merna Two former champions duked it out for dominance. Bonnie Sveen made her intentions known that she was coming to Cardiff looking for a highlight reel knockout. All the while her opponent Gemma Merna was happy to come out swinging if prefight comments were to be believed.
The opening two rounds were hard fought. Gemma started the fight on the right foot with a crisp jab setting up with right fist. Bonnie came swinging back with her raw power on show to send back the English fighter. The looks exchanged after each round showed how important this was to them.
The first piece of drama came in the fourth round as a charge by Bonnie led to a knockdown. Gemma was caught out by several clean hooks before an uppercut when she retreated led to her being put on her back. Gemma was up by right to keep on fighting.
But as Sveen looked to try to finish the job; she was met by a resilient Gemma. Who landed a nasty right hook behind the ear of Bonnie to send her down. Bonnie got up but more punches dug into her body and face till she was stuck on the ropes. The referee stepped in to save Bonnie from more punishment.
Gemma did offer Bonnie a rematch under JMD rules. That will be interesting to see if it does take place. This was a fun scrap while it lasted. Gemma showed her experience and boxing IQ to overcome the raw power of the younger woman. Bonnie still has the power to upset plenty of fighters going forwards.
That's all we have time for folks, thank you so much to everyone who has taken the time to read these posts. Also to Vassago for writing the fights I reviewed. Remember the BBU PPV is this Wednesday, while we will be back next Sunday morning with the next edition of the Real View.
