Real View Intro:Hello ladies and gentleman; another intriguing week in the BBU, we saw action last week between Julia Weiniawa and Nadine Coyle. The Polish fighter won her debut and then looked to make a statement against the veteran Nadine. If you want to check out that bout here's the link to it: bbuchat.freeforums.net/thread/2558/weekend-boxing-julia-wieniawa-nadineAs always we recommend that if you haven't read the bouts from this past week that you go look them up. We will of course be spoiling them in our reviews. While also you will be robbing yourself the enjoyment of wonderfully written fights. We will be focused on the BBU PPV and some of the major bouts on what is a big card. With two title fights headlining the event, it will be interesting to see who will make an impact right out the gate on the pay per view. Part 1: BBU JMDD title bout preview: Hailee Lautenbach Vs Hailey Clauson The main event of the next BBU pay per view will see a battle over the BBU JMDD title. Hailee Lautenbach is looking to pull off the upset when she takes on the champion and arguably pound for pound Queen in the BBU Hailey Clauson.
Hailee hasn't exactly pulled up trees career wise. She has three wins in nine fights, she debuted in the FCBA's New Blood tournament in 2018 with a defeat to Elizabeth Turner. She does though seem to have found a home in the JMDD division, holding a win over Charlotte McKinney in her last bout. This will be her first BBU contest.
Hailey meanwhile has swept aside a host of challengers for her title. Winning the diamond encrusted title bra in 2022, she has eight successful defences, beating the likes of Abigail Ratchford and Kara Del Toro. She also won the Diamond Boxing Tournament in the FCBA last year without losing a fight within the round robin event.
So yes you'd be hard pressed to say the odds are not against Lautenbach. As ever though there is a chance for the challenger, if she can keep Clauson on the back foot early then she can disrupt the champions rhythm. That's easier said then done but as she showed against McKinney, Hailee can close the distance to work quickly.
This will be an interesting contest, can Lautenbach pull off one of the biggest upsets of the year right away or can Clauson remain focused. The champion has shown a ruthlessness to really dominate opponents so Hailee better bring her best or it could be a long bumpy road to defeat for her.

Part 2: ACB lightweight title bout preview: Poppy Montgomery vs Yvonne Strahovski The ACB lightweight title has had quite the interesting lineage, with former champions including recently Holly Valance, Mallory Jensen, Miranda Kerr and you have to go back a few years shall we say to see Poppy Montgomery's name on the green strapped belt. Yvonne Strahovski defeated Holly Valance last year to win her first ever ACB belt as she looks to celebrate her Aussie heritage by defending a belt that means so much to celebrity female boxing there.
Poppy Montgomery is fifty one years old, which to be polite isn't many people's ideas of in her prime age. If the Cougar and Jaguar divisions have proven in the FCBA, an old woman can flourish, while Stana Katic only a few short months ago proved that as a fact when she defeated the decade plus younger Dua Lipa to win the FCBA lightweight title.
Now it would be fair to say Poppy is getting this shot more on legacy then recent form. These two also have history that goes against Poppy as Yvonne knocked her out nearly a decade ago to prove her dominance then. What Poppy has on her side is two things, one she has been working as hard as ever and at the pre-fight weigh in she looked in phenomenal shape in her bikini, flexing toned arms to show off. Secondly she has no pressure really on her, she is the underdog in this situation with her legacy firmly safe in Aussie boxing history.
While Yvonne is out to prove directly to her country people that she deserves a hall of fame star. Spending the majority of her time over the past ten plus years in America, she is arguably the greatest lightweight fighter in celebrity boxing history. Does her motivation add extra pressures? Yvonne herself is now over forty and while she is in great shape too, you wonder how used she is to possibly starting to slow down. So this isn't quite a slam dunk as people may assume.
If you like knowing the odds well Poppy has bad odds. Yvonne while maybe not at the top of her powers, she is still a fearsome fighter. Poppy will need to dig deep to produce arguably the performance of her career to emerge the new ACB lightweight champion when it is all said and done.

Part 3: Zara Holland Vs Leah Perkins preview An early treat for those who love a fight between a British and an Aussie fighter as former BBU Flyweight champion Zara Holland looks to beat up and comer Leah Perkins. These two have previous but not fighting against each other directly, Leah had to witness her sister Mimi get beaten by Zara, can Leah get revenge for Mimi or will Zara complete the clean sweep over the Perkin twins?
Zara has never really found that form that made her such a scary fighter in her title reign back in 2020 till she lost the title six months later. Her power in the Flyweight division is still fearsome, it is just whether she has the drive some pundits question to really pull her way back to the mountain top of the division.
Leah meanwhile has a solid record with eleven wins in seventeen bouts. She is a different style of boxer to Zara as she will look to box her way around the English fighter. Leah though has suffered two defeats in her last two bouts to show a little worry if her career has stalled. If she wins this bout of course it will be turbo boosted back in the ring direction.
I don't see either not being motivated to win this contest. Neither exactly had a bad year of results last year for a start but they both need to jump start themselves on the right path again. While of course they had choice words shall we say the last time they were in the same area after Mimi was knocked out by Zara, these two won't be friends any time soon so expect fireworks from the opening bell.

Part 4: Ela Kawalec Vs Emily Ratajkowski preview This bout could turn out to be the fight of the night. The Vixens and Siren stables are both owned by the same group and have had let's "healthy" competition with each other. While Ela and Emily certainly have not have healthy competition with each other, it is down right hate for the sight of their rival.
These two have plenty of prior, just in 2020 they fought twice with Emily coming out on top both times. After that they fought in a wrestling bout that was heated to say the least, leading into them shedding the gloves for a bare Knuckle AMD bout. Each time in official bouts Emily has the number of her rival, Ela just hasn't quite found the answer to beat her foe.
Of course Emily is a former JMDD champion in the FCBA. This will be Emily's first ever time in a BBU ring, a theme through the card. Can that be the trump card for Ela or will Emily simply do what she has done throughout this rival and beat Ela?
Expect a war from the opening bell as Ela will look to push the pace early, use her strength to try to bully the more mobile Emily. Who will look to use her speed and experience to try to throw Ela off. A win for either will be massive for bragging rights, you do wonder if Ela loses again how she will take it.
That's all we have time for folks, thank you to everyone who has taken the time to read these posts. We will hopefully be back next Sunday morning for the next edition of the Real View.
