Part 4: an interview with Halle BaileyTom: I am proud to say we have another special guest on our show. She is a singer and an actress. You'll have maybe seen her in films like the live action "Little Mermaid" or her roles in shows like "Growish." She joins us now via video link.
(Halle appears on screen wearing a black tank top along with a black skirt as she sits on a white seat. Smiling as she waves to the camera)Halle: hey guys! Hope you are all great!
Tom: I certainly am and I know your fans will be loving this. You are making your debut on the next pay per view. How do you feel going into that?
Halle: I am so excited. I am taking on a former world champion on my frickin debut in Ivana Baquero. I know she deserves her reputation as a tough fighter but I know all my training will be enough for me to take her down.
Tom: it's great to see you so confident! We have a picture you posted online after a training session.
Halle: you can see why I am so confident. Physically I am in great shape, mentally I am confident and I have been busting my booty off in the ring sparring and learning how to be the best. There is no way I am going into the ring to embarrass myself.
Tom: I have to ask what got you to sign on to fight in the BBU?
Halle: I've never been afraid of anyone or any challenge in my life. You will have seen the way people talk about me playing certain roles that I supposedly shouldn't. Everyday is a battle for me to prove who I am. Boxing at least is fun compared to all that.
It helps my sister Chloe can spar with me. We can take any arguements we've had over the years out on each other haha. Seriously though she helps me keep motivated along with my man. We are a great team and all the hard work will pay off when fight night comes along.
Tom: I have to also ask, what sort of tactics or advantages do you have over your first opponent? I mean you are going into the deep end here with your opponent.
Halle: oh to be clear I respect Ivana. You don't reach the levels she has if you aren't tough, if you can't box. I think physically I am stronger then her, I believe I am tougher and I'll look to bully her out the opening bell to the finish of the fight.
It won't be a pretty affair I think. I know she looks to scrap on the inside. I have to dissuade her early on, push the pace and swamp her to make her respect me. I didn't sign on to fight her because it was easy. I signed the contract because I wanted a test to prove I am the real deal.
Tom: finally do you have a word for the other flyweights in the BBU?
Halle: oh simple. I am here to beat asses and claim titles. The BBU has a lot of big names and legends but I'll take names. Whether it be the likes of Cheryl Cole or maybe a Samia Ghadie. I am no cream puff Disney Princess come to life, I am going to be a champion.
Tom: on that note I have to say thank you for giving your time to us.
Halle: no worries. I'll see all my fans on the pay per view. Come support me. *Blows a kiss to the camera*
Tom: that's all we have time for, thank you to everyone who took the time to read these posts. To Vassago for writing his bouts and to all you wonderful BBU fans. We will be back next Sunday morning for the next edition of the Real View.
